I’m glad they brought a bagged machine back. For a while they didn’t have anything. These seem better made than the old tempos were and I’m glad they got rid of that junk non stretch hose they used to sell
Married 57 years with two Hoover DialAMatics. In market for a new Bagged Hoover, and found your videos to be a Godsend. Ordered from Amazon before our Hurricane here, and received it today. The Tempo is just right for us. Thanks so much. Steve
I had the older no frills basic version of this model and it lasted about 16 yrs. Had I not left it running way too long one hot day, the motor might not have burned up. So after looking for another one only to realize they stopped making that version and looking at a lot of vacuum reviews on Amazon that convinced me not to get any bagless ones, I just for the heck of it searched Hoover WindTunnel and this model came up. Why it wasn't among all the others I looked at was odd but since my old one survived as long as it did and it saw a lot of pet hair, only things ever replaced were belts, roller brushes and filters, and since it had a foot switch to turn roller brush on/off I bought it. Am glad I did since it's a big improvement compared to the older model, I thought I'd never live to see the day when a vacuum manufacturer finally put a long enough quality hose on an upright so that we didn't have to lift and hold the vacuum to get to the high places or buy an additional canister vacuum just for that. Plus the much better bag swap, I used to hate changing them, always a mess and a struggle to fit new one on. Saved my old wand attachments too. The only upgrade I made was to the light it came with, why they didn't put a bunch of LED's around the front so that we'd actually have light to help us see, and it's useless when you tilt it back to clean is why I attached two led strips wrapped around the bumper and fed the wires under and behind drilling just one hole through the gray body to put them in behind the light lens using existing hole there, bought some automotive 921 pre-wired sockets hooked the wires up added heat shrink tubing so now I can see, no more wearing a headlamp. Looking forward to many years from this vacuum too thanks to Hoover.
Hoover is my favorite vacuum brand. Have tried other brands but always came back to Hoover. Our UH70605 model number is going on 3 years with no issues at all
This one actually seems more desirable than the UH30600. Not only because it's cheaper, but because of that quick release baseplate to access the brushroller and belt.
This is one of my suggestions to customers. I beat the hell out of these, or very similar models! Normally, the wheels give out before anything else. I can fill a vacuum bag in a 6,000 square foot house in one day!
Hello Performance Reviews, thank you for these excellent in depth reviews. I have a question: I had a Hoover Windtunnel model #: 5432-900. The belt was so hard to put on I had to use a screwdriver as leverage and push the brush up into position. After 2 years of use (got it used) the place where the brush attached to the main part of the vaccuum looks chewed up and the vaccuum is making a very loud noise. Was I receiving the wrong belt? Is this normal where and tear? My old Bissell's belt was nowhere near as tight as this.
Brother...please give it to me straight. I have a red Hoover Wind Tunnel 12 amp from 1999! that I have been repairing overtime but it's giving up at this point due to cracks in the plastic frame that JB Weld can no longer fix. After seeing great reviews, I became a turncoat and bought a Kenmore Intuition 4050 and am fairly impressed but true to form and still within the return window, here I am looking at Hoover reviews because that's my first love. So please direct me....the majority of my home is bare floor so I need to be able to turn the brush roll off, which I can with the Intuition and I know I can with the Tempo but is the Max in my future or keep the Intuition or something else? Please recommend. Thank you.
You got your money's worth it's time for a new machine. But you might consider looking at some higher end machines if you want a machine the last two 20 years. You're going to have to go to the European machines if that's what you'd like. He had about 15 years of borrowed time on your last Hoover.
Currently about $150.00 on Amazon. Better than anything Dyson offers and how many could you buy for the price of one throw away Dyson? Four or five or more? I'm not a fan of plastic baseplates - I keep my late 1950s and early 1960s Kirbys running for a reason. But - if you have to have something new and you don't want to buy the cheapest, this is definitely a contender. Great review, thanks!
That machine is a relabeled Bissell. It's a really old design that requires far more frequent belt changes and does not have the hard floor shut off like this has.
Hey there, I was wondering if you've ever tested out and did a review on a Kenmore intuition upright. I'm looking to get one but been getting mixed reviews on Amazon
I just bought this vacuum today brand new from ace hardware, it was a close out sale display model. I bought it because of this video lol, and it works great except the bag indicator doesn't work. I made sure that it isnt stuck by pushing it in with a toothpick, and I made sure the bag cover was properly in place. I tested it by covering the hose completely. Do you have any idea of why it wouldn't work?
@@fakejeepman06 I had the predecessor model to this vacuum, and even with a completely chock full bag, the indicator would never switch to red. I’m not sure what makes it trigger, quite frankly. In fact, I’m assuming the indicator mechanism switches to red because I can see red thru the bottom of the indicator window and because red makes sense as an indicator.
Can you show how to clean the turbo tool? The instructions say to turn the pins to open it up, but the plastic casing is impossible to get off to turn the pins.
Hoover's in the process of changing the color on this machine. They have a similar machine that's a carpet only machine right now still available based on the same platform. hoover.com/collections/upright-vacuums/products/complete-performance-advanced
@@PerformanceReviews Would you recommend going with the Complete Performance UH30601 or waiting to see what the next iteration of the Tempo is? I didn't find a review on the UH30601 when searching your channel. The plastic housing on the Panasonic upright I purchased when my wife and I got married 23 years ago is finally getting brittle and isn't worth messing with any longer. The Tempo seemed like the perfect upgrade for us. Also, thanks for your reviews and opinions and the time you clearly put into the videos. I appreciate they aren't just reciting the marketing material but show the unit in use and even disassemble it - your reviews are appealing to me as a hands-on fixer.
I just bought mine and today is the second day using it. The the turn on/off button is not holding. I was vacuuming when it turned off. When I press the button it won’t hold. Any suggestions. How can I fix?
I would double check to make sure you didn't burn up the belt. The machines under warranty Hoover is really good about that most of the time you just go to your local service center and they take care of you.
1. Bought the bags for this vacuum, it doesn't fill up. It just backs up into the hose instead, so the bags will act full but never actually fill up. Barely even 1/3 filled, just stuffed into the bottom and will never open up fully. 2. The indicator never works, kids will keep vacuuming till it's completely not doing anything because they keep looking for the indicator to change. 3. The vacuum constantly stinks, cleaned it out, changed filters, two uses and it smells like wet dog. 4. The plastic is garbage, it's stupid. It doesn't stay closed completely to make a good seal. 5. The nearest service is too far for me to drive. I am most likely just going to get something better than this piece of trash.

We have this vacuum and it’s the loudest vacuum we’ve ever owned. Does work well though.
There's a reason Hoover is synonymous with "vacuum" to a lot of people. Well built machines even today.
This one actually seems more desirable than the UH30600. Not only because it's cheaper, but because of that quick release baseplate to access the brushroller and belt.

Great review as always! Very impressive vac for the price. Can't wait for the SEBO D4 review!
Gonna buy this vacuum when I move into my apartment
I have the commercial TaskVac version of this for use in the field. It's a damn good machine for $149.

I really appreciate u making these videos.
Can you do a update on best vacuums for commercial cleaning, residential, office etc. For budget price please!!

VERY curious what you think of the Sanitaire SL4110A, as seems to compare directly with this Hoover.

Great review, any suggestions on a decent self propelled vaccum...?
They don't really make self-propelled vacuums anymore besides Kirby. Because you're better off just getting a lightweight vacuum like you canister.
Do you have a top 5 or top 10 vacuums list? Perhaps by price bracket or something.
Thanks.

Very good review man I think I’ll get this not the max
Just bought one excited to get it

How can you make the gray lever go down when the lever is locked up?

If you're not mechanically inclined
I would recommend going to your local vacuum store having them help you out a Hands-On approach often helps.
I’m asking for one of these for Christmas, fingers crossed 🤞

Is the Hoover Complete Performance Corded Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner, UH30651, similar?
Yes but without the hard floor cleaning ability.
Do you have a suggestion for a good vacuum for out hair?

The plastic on this machine seems very thin. Hmm 🤔 I wonder how long this will last if used about two times a week.
Could you do a review on a Dyson ball animal/multifloor2?
Send me one
I would but I don’t have the money
I vacuumed a Kleenex and now it’s clogged. I can’t find it anywhere. Can you advise me please? 🤦🏼♀️
Bring it to your local vacuum shop and have them find it for you
How long do you expect the motor lifespan to be in this vacuum?
About 5 years or so maybe a little longer
Thank you 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hey Performance Reviews is there a way to put a Dump Out bag In that TTI HOOVER?
No dump out bags are disgusting
No that defeats the purpose and is unhygienic and bad for the vacuum.
Why the fuck would you want a dump out bag if they are becoming illegal to sell in many U.S. states since they're a health hazard?
Shake out bag it’s not great idea to do that only if the bag is full and put it in the trash and put a brand new bag on their
Dump out bags are horrible, get real HEPA bags
I wa ted to purchase one off these machines.
Absolutely Top Kek with that vintage Rainbow upholstery tool!. You got a D4 now?
i use paper bags is that bad
Yes it's not designed for it. Also you are choking the performance with those
HOW?? i been useing them for 2 yers
@@PerformanceReviews what bag shod i use
Link to HEPA Bags in the description. You increase its power by about 20% by using them and you decrease motor wear significantly.
ok i will buy them thack you
I needed to know how to change the bag. But the you didn’t show how to put it in , and all I can see was the very bottom of the vacuum
You might rewatch the video that's shown and explained in great detail.
You are right this guy just hates bagless vacs especially sharks lol
It's the hair for me. Like I need a self cleaning brush.
Any vacuum you will need to clean the pressure roller off on a regular basis. The machines that are marketed as "self-cleaning" do not self clean.
i love how everyone ignores the belt issues on these pedal machines. use the hose for 15 mins and time for a new belt.. stupid
Sounds like "skill issue " on your part.
Way overpriced now!
What's the price in 2023?
