I want to share my testimony as well to encourage someone .
I was living with a man for about 10 years we had two children .
When I met the Lord it was becoming very very very difficult for me to have a sexual contact with him we were leaving in the same house I decided to not have any sexual contact with him again until we got married 9 months after. It was difficult because I was spiritually more stable than him. There was a lot of pressure.In that period of waiting I had the courage to seek the will of God’s about our relationship. And I was ready to end of the relationship if he was not the will of God . Because I was walking by the spirit of God not by emotion .In the day of my marriage I was so peaceful joyful and heaven was celebrating my marriage because the foundation of our relationship was restored .After our marriage our commitment to obey God’s became very strength. We are very happy family now.

This video has greatly inspired me thank you Vivian 🙏🏼 but how do I remove the guilt about not waiting until marriage? Before I met my current boyfriend, I slept around a lot and even cheated on some of my boyfriends in the past. We aren't fully abstinent yet but we've talked about it quite a bit. I seem to be the jezebel that struggles with desires of the flesh. How do I control urges and get it out of my head that "he'll leave me if I don't keep him satisfied'" ? Thanks for any replies

This exactly what I needed to watch. I was a backslider and just got back Into church. Sexual sin was my biggest struggle to overcome, I was emotionally attached to guy that never even cared about me. I’m doing better now and always asking God for peace and strength thank you so much you are a true blessing.

Yep! Some of this I can relate to. I plan on not having sex until marriage either. I was emotionally attached to a guy who manipulated me all the time so if a guy tries that with me I shut it down quickly I don’t mess around.

I have been abstinent since getting saved (going on year 4 now), and LET ME TELL YOU. Dating without having sex gives you MUCH BETTER JUDGEMENT. You realize that you were overly attached to your ex's simply because you had that emotional tie that comes from having sex with someone. Removing sex makes you better able to see the people you date for who they truly are, and not just how they make you feel.

Yes! Amen! I was celibate for four years till I met my husband. I was growing my relationship with God and knew that if I were to get married it would need to be a man sent from God because I was happy being single. I dated many Christian men who would want to be intimate and I knew that wasn't who God would have sent me. Then I met my husband who also was growing in Christ and wanted to wait. That was a big deal to me. A man who put God above sexual pleasure. God bless you sister! Thank you for sharing your story.

Your understanding of them will grow when you realize if u take one verse out of context you start to add things and change things and place burdens that God never placed on people but you accidentally did because of you taking his words out of context. The Bible says that someone who is born again is a new creature in Christ. And he washes our sins away. You can never undo what you did but you can be washed of the guilt and condemnation and receive the Holy Spirit that guides you away from committing the same sins and know that in Jesus your sins are cast away. Some people don’t know Christ and lived life according to the flesh like everyone has at some point until God saved them. So don’t call filthy what Christ has washed. Instead of focusing on the rules placed in the Old Testament you should focus on your sins and coming to a true repentance of them. Not placing rules on people when you know that you yourself don’t follow all of them. Before you read the Bible pray and ask God to guide you to truly understand so that your own mind and understanding does not mislead you so that you can come to know the true God and not condemn yourself in legalism. I saved myself for marriage and it was the best decision I made! I wouldn’t change a thing. Honestly it took so much pressure off of having sex, because neither of us had to worry about comparison or that our hearts were in a different place. I love love that you made the decision as well the last few years. It’s truly such a blessing. Thanks for sharing this with us. Yes, when we have sex before marriage we are getting ripped off. That's why this world will say "I got a piece of that!" I know this because I was that guy. But God! Gave me a new heart and a new mind. This is definitely the biggest struggle for me as a single Christian man. But we need to be tired of getting ripped off and be encouraged of what God has waiting for us when we totally submit ourselves to him.

I’m a single mother and I have been celibate for over two years now. Before coming to Christ, I was comfortably living in sin, chasing after lust, addicted to sex, and seeking validation from men. It’s so important to remember, just because you’re not a virgin, doesn’t mean it’s too late to repent and start over. Thank God for His mercy, grace, and patience! Jesus has restored, redeemed, and renewed me 🙌🏼 The joy of the Lord is my strength and He gives me such peace in waiting for my husband, because I know it will be in God’s perfect will & timing. I’m no longer relying on my flesh but I choose to be led by the Holy Spirit. Its so much easier to walk away when there isn't a soul tie attached. The only people that linger in my mind are are ones that I laid down with. I'm currently 3 years and 5 months abstinent . This is the longest I have ever gone since losing my virginity and my faith is stronger than ever. Stay strong ladies and find a good accountability partner. There is strength in numbers.

No sex before marriage is a good, common sense way to weed out the predatory users and abusers who don't care about you anyway for believers and non-believers alike. If someone loves you they will wait for you. Don't be pressured by others way or speed of life. If you have a bad gut feeling about a person or situation, best to always go with your intuition it can really spare you from dark places you need not go. ♥
I can definitely testify to this. I desired to wait until marriage but I recently backslid due to a guy who manipulated me into sleeping with him. I really thought he was a true Christian but it turns out that he was just a wolf in sheep's clothing. I'm still trying to heal from that traumatic experience and I'm trusting in God that everything will work out according to His plan

When and how that happens is entirely up to you and your mate.
The initial effects (for a man) might be unnoticeable at first. But you should consider something. Things like abortions, broken homes, and STD's wouldn't even be issues today if everyone just waited until they got married to have sex. On top of that, the best environment to raise children in is a home with a married mom and dad. The modern view of sexuality has brought us to a situation where the whole modern world is destroying itself because we want to satisfy our hormonal feelings right away. If you do things the right way you are much more likely to keep yourself and your children from becoming statistics.

Look on UA-cam for Isaiah Saldivar. He speaks on how to be delivered from a Myriad of things- including pride. Deliverance will set you free not just from pride but any other thing that is attached to you through either a generational curse or from things you did in your past or even now. God wants you to be free from all bondage.

I was literally just writing down verses from the Bible all associated with the concept of Pride and how dangerous it is. Throw yourself at Gods mercy and talk to him about all you’ve been prideful about and ask Him to tear down every alter in your heart that exalts itself above Him. And to renew your mind, heart and spirit. You may also need to fast. I would recommend.

That's wise. When I was young, I thought this was prudish. Now that I'm older, I see that they were just trying to guide us into wisdom.

Because most of those CNA nurses that will go out to homes of an elderly man are women nurses. I'm a music artist & producer and in the music industry (or even in the world today in general), what's supposed to be the right thing is by no means not the norm, in this case sex before marriage. I don't know where you are in your faith, but from experience I hope I can help.
For me it was originally finding my reason why I kept deviating back to it. Its important that you find your reason as to why, because it gives you clarity.
Secondly, determine what are your triggers. For me it was secular, explicit music and shows so I had to remove that from my life, because it led me into sin.
But the most important one for me is that it comes from a spirit of lust and everytime you give in to the spirit of lust you give it a stronger hold over you. You also grieve the Holy Spirit and silent His voice within you. This one hit hard. I'll be honest it's not easy at all I know that. You need to constantly pray for self control. Try to stay busy and if you can, find someone who can help keep you accountable. ❤️ Hope I could help. ❤️

I’d suggest to fast for your deliverance from lust, I too struggled in this as well but it’s so amazing that I literally no longer have the desire, this is coming from a person who was addicted to masturbation (it went from 3 times a day to once a day to once a week to once a month then once every couple of months till I finally stopped for good). Although, I am a 22 year old virgin I struggled in my past with masturbation but now that I’ve been delivered from lust I no longer have the desire, I don’t even think about it nor want to do it. I think I have that same problem... but I remember when I was studying for my exams...my mind was so focused on prioritizing God and prayer... studying and my overall wellbeing that whenever the desire came it had no space because my focus was on working during the day to fulfill God's will and by night I was usually really tired so even when I'd have the thought I couldn't act on it because I was focused on resting so that I could fulfill those priorities again tomorrow...

I needed this today. My ex came back into my life recently and i made the biggest mistake of sleeping with him again becaue of comfort. Everyone always thinks sex is just physical and it is not it is also Spiritual chords that are created every time you sleep with someone. After I slept with my ex I was miserable and wish I had never done it. I was better off not having sex for 4 years, rather than having sex for one day with my ex just because I was physically feeling aroused and wanted to have sex. Flesh is temporary and is of the earth, but your spirit and soul are eternal.
