Interesting. Occasionally I add a little bit of glitter to the mica in my epoxy fills. Creates a nice shimmering effect, but it almost always cause a few pinholes when the glitter flakes out after running the piece through the planer. Do you think this method would work for holes that tiny?

Most likely would work. sometimes the pin holes need to be made larger for the wax to fill it properly

Would this work on epoxy over an acrylic pour on canvas?
I don't think I would try it on canvas the knife gets very hot and could damage your piece
