What a great cast of guest stars in this episode. Michael Ansara appeared in the original "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" movie. The lucky guy was married to beautiful Barbara Eden, who was also in the original film.
@@dwashbur Yes, I can't blame him for that. He didn't have much to work with. I'd truly loved to have talked to him. I'd still like to read some of Werner Klemperer's father's books. I've read some about him but nothing by him.
Hi only recently discovered your channel. thru your Time Tunnel reviews. Great stuff. We got lots of the shows you review on UK TV in the 60s and 70s which I remember watching as kid back then - I was born two weeks after Dr Who first aired. Love your bios of the actors who appeared in these shows. I think Michael Ansara would have made a great Master btw. I am subscribed of course and looking forward to more
I remember this episode from a long time ago. Sergeant Schultz is running the Soviet Union. 0:37. Nice hat skipper. Where’s your blue golf shirt? 1:21. It is going to land on Stalag 13? It would mean my life! No more strudel. RIP Robert Clary. 1:37. He was afraid of going to the Russian Front during WW II. Now he is running the show. 2:31. “Captain Kirk, the Dilithium …”, never mind. The President was elected in 1972. He did not run for re-election in 1976. How do I know? Because he was re-elected in 1996. Just in time to wish the Jupiter II a fond farewell. Ford Rainey. 3:39. A firm handshake. Just like Professor Robinson gave him in 1997. Everett Sloane was in “The Patsy”. With Jerry Lewis and John “Arcon, Mr. Arcon”, Carradine and with Hans “Sagramonte” Conreid. In that movie Jerry Lewis got his hair cut by Commissioner Gordon. 9:08. What about Dr. Smith’s aunt on Nob Hill in San Francisco. She is in danger too! And all those huge flies! They are also in danger! 10:29. I realize that Mr. Scott is back in Washington DC, but you have to push the reactor the way that he would. Captain, the ship will shake apart. 11:46. Jimmy Hapgood has finally returned to Earth? Or is that Alonzo P. Tuckerrr! 12:17. It looks for all the world like Cap’n Tucker’s space ship. 18:17 I’m burning under water, That’s what you see, What did you expect, From Irwin Allen TV! 19:32. The escaped prisoner has been captured. I mean, the reactor has been disarmed.
And I scrolled back to see something else and then watched your "Okay, Irwin, tell me you don't know what a satellite looks like..." Both times I cracked up laughing! Thanks so much!!! ----Mikey
Oh, I didn't recognize Doohan either! His coolest credit was a Canadian TV movie (I think!) called "Flight Into Danger" that was recycled as a US movie called "Zero Hour" that was parodied as "Airplane!" (Oh, and the Zucker Bros. and Abrams bought the rights to the script for that one!) And I kept expecting Doohan to go up to the President and whisper in his ear "The Batphone, Sir."

From the villain/antagonist to the good guy Russian ally.
Seeing Schultz and Scotty in this episode was cool.
3:43 I know Michael Ansara as Kane on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
Today just happened to be James Doohan’s 103rd birthday! Happy birthday Scotty!🎉🎁🎊🎈🎂
I recently saw some old movie serials that John Banner did back in the 1950s. He gave absolutely no hint of the superstar he would become.
It took him a while to hit his stride, but with Shultz he became immortal.

Re: John Banner. I felt the same way you did reading about his family. 🤬 A big man (not talking about his weight).
Great review! Great wit!🤣🤣🤣
At 7: 50 we see actor Michael Ansara who was actually married to Barbara Eden
Scotty!

Michael Ansara as the Master? I can see that!
The “science” of this episode is so Irwin Allen b- grade😂😂😂
That's true of most all of Irwin's shows, but they're fun anyway.
Holy guest stars Batman!
I'm glad this finally cleared
Any word on the other episodes you've tried to get? We love your show on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea . Please keep them coming.😊😊😊 5:17
I have 4 episodes in copyright limbo at the moment. They should start appearing in about 3 weeks. Take heart, they're coming!

I’m burning under water,
That’s what you see,
What did you expect,
From Irwin Allen TV!
19:32. The escaped prisoner has been captured. I mean, the reactor has been disarmed.
I don't care how this episode starts. The russians know nothing. NOTHING! about any satalite.
Everett Sloane also played the heartless corporate mogul in the film Patterns, one of the best acting performances I have ever seen.
I was thinking about Mr. Pem, but he won't appear for a few more years.
Feel like you would love watching Sealab 2021
At 5:51 the Russian words were used for saying goodbye
12:07 or thereabouts. All that was missing on the screen were the words: "Artist's Conception." (Yes, I remember those days!) ----mikey
