Gorilla Lope Annoys Mum Again Until Silverback Comes Charging

- The gorilla brothers are eating and as soon as their mum comes closer they quickly move away. Grandma Biddy is in the background eating her leaves.
Lope charges at his mother again and throws the stick at her. Ozala quickly holds her hand in front of her face and turns to the side. He collects some food afterwards and makes his way back towards his mum. Ozala is busy finding some food pellets, but knowing what Lope is like she keeps glancing up to see what he's up to. Lope goes to the hut and climbs on the roof. He takes the defensive stance when Ozala comes up. Ozala keeps calm and Lope moves past her balancing on the belt and sitting on the other side. Back down below his brother walks away with his stick. Getting out of the way of Lope and their mother. Ozala climbs down and her son gets ready to charge again. Lope spotted dad on the right and is contemplating what to do. When Oumbi just sits down Lope starts staring at his mother again. Ozalas eyes occasionally dart towards her son.
Oumbi is making his way around the hut. Ozala gets up and she is definitely not expecting the silverback to be there. As she quickly moves when the big guy comes charging. Ozala walks down the slope. Oumbi just oozes authority.

I wish the entire Momotaro family could be moved to a much healthier and enriching environment. Horrid excuse for zoo.
So his sons, such as Lope will have to be removed from his father’s troop and placed somewhere else with his own females? Is that how it works with males? If Lope stayed does that mean he would eventually start to challenge his father? If he does get removed from the troop how does the mother handle that…does she mourn or not really care? I haven’t seen video of Lope in a while…been busy with stuff, but he sure has grown.

This is my first time watching lope in awhile. I remember him and his brother when they were tiny I use to watch you guys everyday.

Poor Ozala , she has such a good heart. Lope knows he can aggravate her and get away with it , but he knows Oumbi would not put up with his aggravation. LOL . And she got caught in-between them both , lol. I love , love , love this gorilla family, I could seriously watch them 24/7 . I haven't seen him do it latey, but the weather has been pretty miserable here. So he won't come out at the moment.

Poor Ozala having to deal with 2 aggressive males. She's always walking on eggshells around those two.
Lope is so nimble and smooth as he moves on and off the shelter. Oumbi knows how to make the family scatter, a quick burst of testosterone and everyone heads for cover! LOL

Hi there Slogger Vlogger, there's a new channel that looks like it started this summer and it's called - Oumbi the silverback- and it consists of video's of still pictures of gorillas and apes, and some of the pictures in there are definitely off some of your videos that you've taken of Gorilla and other ape families that you video,... I specifically recognised some of them,... I also follow a family of gorillas from a Japanese zoo, momotaro, gentaro, kentaro and genki, and they've definitely used pics from their videos as well,... I just thought I'd let you know,...
Thank you so much Ann. I really appreciated. I found the channel. I put so many hours of work into my videos and it's a shame that some people think they can just take what they want.
@@SloggerVlogger - Ah I thought some of the still pictures had been taken from your videos, that's awful,... is there anything that you can do to stop them, or UA-cam can do,... mind you I wouldn't worry too much because they have edited the pics quite badly, and I don't think people will watch them more than once, or keep going back to that channel,... I might go on there and write a comment,... Ooh I'm feeling quite protective towards your channel and all your hard work,... but that's like you say all of your work,... you travel all over the country, and you go to Europe to get your footage, then someone just steals them, and puts together a video of their own from all your hard work,... Ann I'm so sorry I didn't see your comment as it only popped up on my screen this morning. There was a UA-cam backlog and I got hit with hundreds of comments/replies that weren't visible to me before. So I'm trying to catch up. I'm so annoyed I missed so many lovely comments. I did get the videos removed in the end. When they are on UA-cam I can normally do something about it when I see them. What hurts most was that some were stolen from people that have followed me for a while. Unfortunately, it seems to happen more frequently. I'm grateful for you letting me know. I hope you had a good start to the year. I can't believe we're already in February again. Have a great weekend.

I've thought a couple of times she looks like she's in a bit of pain when she walks,... especially in the video from the other day when she was collecting snow,...don't know if she's got arthritis in her hips or lower back or something,...
I wasn't sure. As sometimes she was OK and other times I did see it as well. I think with the cold weather at the moment it could well be that she has some arthritis.

A month on, she still sometimes seems to have the same problem. I hope Oumbi didn't injure her, as he's been pretty full on lately.
Oumbi charged at Ozala, I for one didn't interpret that to be a hero move...Lope is probably ticked off with his mom during meal times because she's most likely a selfish eater... She looks to be extremely overweight for a female.
If I saw Ozala only from behind I would assume that she was a silverback.
