Disraeli Gears is an album that shows how it is possible for three individually immensely talented musicians to combine their talents to produce a singular masterpiece.
what a classic album, first heard it the summer of my freshman year in high school, and it became a huge influence on where my musical interests would go and find my self very deep into blues within a year or so, and it remains to this day
I kinda guessed "We´re going wrong" would stem from a "Boy-girl situation" but i always think of it as being a tune about modern mankind....Powerful stuff
@BassFever74 Aww cmonnnn,,,,Their harmonies were great. Very unique for the time. Even now. But in those days you had very bubble gummish pop. 1966-67...very innocent kind of radio friendly garbage. These fellas and these songs....changed it. As far as Im concerned. Beautiful, amazing, precious stuff. Lovely voices/vocals. Lovely fellas. I truly - from my heart- cherish these records. (REAL vinyl) Grew up with em. Thank gawd...peace to you "Jenny"
@Clubs4Metal - I believe that is Charlotte Martin who was Clapton's girl at the time. She later hooked up with Jimmy Page and they have a daughter, Scartlet.
Does anyone knows where about in Hampstead (8:22) Jack used to live when he had a fight with his wife? He said something "gardens" but I didnt catch that ;P
I realize all that. At the time I first heard of the affair, I did not know what Georges feelings about it were. I couldn't count the times some guys wife or girlfriend hit on me, refused each time.
Oh, for God's sake. You people really need to get over this "poor George" bullshit. Harrison and Ronnie Wood were swapping wives WAY before all that Layla stuff went on, George "stole" one of Eric's girlfriends around the same time, and was simultaneously fucking Ringo's wife Maureen!! Someone was always screwing somebody else's wife or girlfriend, and the girls were apparently more-or-less willing participants.
this isnt western times. if the wife likes a man and the man is in love with her. they can be together. she isnt georges property and george and eric have always been friends
Ertegun .. ? couldnt he been Erdogans father ? :)) This album has many fill ins, of no real value ... but my most beloved numbers are there as well... it´s a tie
Outside Woman Blues is one of my favourite Blues songs I discovered through Cream's amazing rendition on Disraeli Gears.
Chris Welch reminds me, rather fondly, of my late grandmother.
Dance The Night Away .. such a Great Song, and Clapton really found his inner Ravy Shankar voicing on his guitar.. .he should've stayed there.

¡¡¡Eric Clapton playing a Fender XII!!! ¿What more can you say? He's just amazing.
Amazing how wrong Ertegun is ("what I had was Eric Clapton") and how much he accomplished for the band at the same time. Thank you, Mr. Ertegun.

married, buried, choking on the ashes of our enemies....
9:30 That is one epic shot.

I want that Fender Electric XII.
Bracknell Gardens, Hampstead
WTF was Ahmet talking about, he thought he had chuck berry and he got lucky. Felix and Tom
made the band's sound.
I never knew the solo part of dance the night away was with a twelve string. It makes sense now though.
Holy shit does Ginger look bad-ass at the end there

First time i've seen Clapton playing a 12 string.

@ 3:46 is that Pamela Courson, Jim Morrison's girlfriend? 'cuz it certainly looks like her and she looks very pretty :)
Ginger really needs to consider giving up the coffin nails..looks n' sounds like bloody hell.
"Outside Woman",,, and when was it you took Georges wife Eric? Just askin.
whats your point?
I know the two guitarists patched up their own relationship later on,,, but I look at someone that would take another mans wife as a total scumbag.
