Both states are step children compared to Idaho.

There’s nothing pro about Wyoming stream access laws 👎🏼

TRUE! The access pisses me off so often, I fish and climb, if we could pass through private areas to access public areas via stream bed the amount of "public" land it would open up would be amazing. But alas! That "public" land is essentially privatized and people take advantage of it!

Fishing in Thermop used to be very good 10-15 years ago. It is now too crowded and quite unpleasant to float just because of the hyper-increased pressure. It’s also a long drive to get to for such a small section of water to fish. Every river has its hay-day, but The Bighorn in WY is way past prime of what it used to be. I don’t fish there anymore. Much better in MT.

The Wind River name change was due to early explorers being a tad confused as to their location. Spent 2 months, 20 plus streams, fishing MT this year. Fly shops say 18 to 20 " about as big as they get. Beautiful streams, great access , fairly crowded. WY for me, hands down for bigger fish
