It is reassuring to know that precision and preparation aren't necessary to build this project.

lol. It flies remarkably well for something with so little precision :-) I think I decided to build this about 5 minutes before I turned the camera on.

Why not Leave the Paper On ? It's what gives your foamboard Strength
and Stiffness . You are covering it up with tape anyways . And , now
your Motor Mount is glues to a Weakened single sheet . Keep Your
central area Strong for your Electronics and wings .

Put your Motor Mount on Last ........ So you can tape it and work on it laying Flat !

what is the vertical piece that the motor is attached to? Did you screw it into foam? or is that is piece of thin wood glued to foam?

It was actually just foam and I used wire to attach the motor to the foam. I would recommend a proper motor mount of some sort, I just couldn't find one at the time.

Sorry for the stupid question. What kind of tape is that you are using?

It's coloured packing tape (or carton sealing tape). In the US tapebrothers.com carries it. In Canada (were I am) I got mine from fast-pack.com. They have cheaper versions at most dollar stores although your colour selection might be limited.
