Dude... You're a genius. You just taught me at least 3 game changing techniques. Sanding dowels with a drill, using a speed square with a circular saw, and of course the method of making floating shelves without expensive hardware. Thank you! Awesome work! 4:12
I once built a dog house out of Aspen Board and never bothered to give it a coat of paint. Five years later I passed the dog house on to another dog lover as I no longer had a dog. I don't know how long it lasted after that point or if they painted it, but Aspen Board is pretty durable. 4:46
Great job! You have such much patience to finish it! Bet you will have more furniture coming. Cardboard crafting is addictive - let's be friends. I'm a cardboard crafter too )
Loooooove this one! If you ever have to do more drilling through thick wood like that they have a bit called a hole saw which basically cuts out a cookie of wood! Blew my mind when I found out that exists. 😂 5:41
Hi.. just the basic actually.. dissolve 1/4 cup of cornstarch in 3/4 cups of cold water then just boil it in medium heat and stir constantly until the paste thickens... 😊
Hiii! I Just love it. I was going to buy a bookshelf for my baby that costs $90 but I did not buy it after watching your video. I hope I can make it on my own. It would be better if you add some info about hpw much sm or metr should be each prepeared cartons. I am really bad with measurement.😅
@ZarnigorKhushmurodova-f4t hello! This video is like 5 yrs old already, but if you checked the description, you'll see a link where you can see the measurement. But I have to warn you tho, this is one of my 1st videos, so im not really sure if my measurements are easy to follow. 😅 You can try just to have an idea 😉
I used white glue(strong) to attached the cardboard slabs. For the magazine I used homemade paste using cornstarch, had to soak magazine into the paste really well to lay them smooth..just like when doing paper mache'
Hi just wondering a couple of things ... do we have to cut the magazine in little cubes like that or can we just slab half a page instead ... also would it work to cover everything in magazine and paste and paint and then glue it together ? Thank you this is soo awesome
The white glue and water mixture makes the cardboard structure really strong and the paper is used with the glue as it gives a smooth finish to paint on
I like the design. But it should be more informative atleast about the measurements you took. Also the extra supports you added (not shown) are actually important. I request you to post the same video with better details. Thanks.
Hello..I glued 3 pieces of cardboard and had to coat each with homemade paste to make it sturdy..goodluck on making one..I'm sure it'll turn out great!
Hello, in looking for videos on cardboard bookshelves I came on your channel. I just subscribed. I have a lot of cardboard and would like more cardboard ideas; mostly looking for bookcases. Tall bookcases if possible and how to make them sturdy. I really like this design. Would you be able to put exact measurements in the description area? I know it's personal preference but I would really like to have the measurements of your projects ❤💚💜💙💛
Hello Cathleen.. Thank you for subscribing. I hope the link below will be of great help. The file can be a little bit confusing 🤣🤣🤣 . You see I'm still new with this filming, editing thing but I really did the best that I could. I Still have a lot to learn...so yeah..hope this one will help even just a bit.. documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:5c6d24d1-2b37-463b-96ad-5f5457d6b430
@@MOMDOESDIY Oh yes, that helped tremendously. You're doing great as a UA-camr. I am interested in your content and you speak clearly and describe so I can understand. So it doesn't matter how many subbies or how long someone has been on UA-cam as long as I'm interested...I'm going to watch. Thanks for the measurements...that was brilliant how you did that ❤💚💜💙💛
Hello..May mga cardboard kasi na manipis..pili ka ng medyo makapal kapal..or if wala..gawin mong apat..then coat mo ng homemade paste kasi nakakatulong sya para maging sturdy ung mga cardboard slabs..

Thank you very much for the project, my bookseller was incredible, greetings from Mexico.
Thank you too!
This is too good. Just loved it. Hope to make something similar soon...
Trying this one starting tonight (cause I know I wont finish it in one sitting 🤣) hope it'll turn as polished as yours! 💓 You are so talented!
Hi, were you able to finish it?
I will make something like this for my small DVD & Game collection, because I like looking at the front covers hahaha
Hi! Can you share the approximate measurements for the book shelves? Thanks in advance! :)
link in description box.. :)
Great video, im trying this tomorrow. What's the homemade paste made of please?
Wow! Great Job!
Wow ang galing.. 😍

You said you coated it with home-made paste ....what is the recipe for making the paste ?
Hi.. just the basic actually.. dissolve 1/4 cup of cornstarch in 3/4 cups of cold water then just boil it in medium heat and stir constantly until the paste thickens... 😊
Thank you. Thickens till it looks like glue ? Or a little liquidy ?
Until it resembles a glue like consistency..but the color wouldn't be the same..the cornstarch paste will be somewhat translucent
@@MOMDOESDIY thank you!!
@@MOMDOESDIY how to store this glue?
What is the purpose of the homemade paste? Do i cover all the cardboards with this?
Wonderful!
Can you please give measurements? Thank you!

Is 500 ml acryl paint is enough? I am almost ready with cupboard and going to order paint and glue? 😊
Beautiful! 4:22
What is the purpose of covering in magazine paper?
Hi..the magazine will help in holding each piece together thus making the bookshelf more sturdy..
@@MOMDOESDIY What kind of glue did you use and how did you get the magazine paper to lay so nice and smooth?
I used white glue(strong) to attached the cardboard slabs. For the magazine I used homemade paste using cornstarch, had to soak magazine into the paste really well to lay them smooth..just like when doing paper mache'

Hello what glue did you use?
Elmers
Hello, hindi na po ma-access yung link for the measurement ☺️
This is awesome 👌
Why did you first confer with newspaper and then paint? Can’t you just paint in the cardboard?
The white glue and water mixture makes the cardboard structure really strong and the paper is used with the glue as it gives a smooth finish to paint on
What's the glue you used po?
Hi..white glue (strong) ginamit ko for the slabs..pero dun sa magazine.. homemade paste lang..
@@MOMDOESDIY okayyy thank you po
