DIY Baby bookshelf from cardboard

This is how I made a small bookshelf with a cardboard box.
We read a lot of books to our baby and I had earlier organized all the small books in a basket which was difficult for my kid to take what she needed. So I decided to make a bookcase with levels so that she can see the books on the display. It took me totally only 2 hours to complete it and costed almost nothing except for glue gun and tape.
Things you need:
1- Cardboard sheets
2- Newspapers
3- Cutter, scissors
4- Hot glue gun
5- White masking tape
6- Pattern duct tape = amzn.to/3d12sjV (affiliate)
This bookcase is 30cm X 30cm X 40cm and fits in my Ikea kallax shelf and I was able to arrange 30 books in it. It is very sturdy and I am sure it will last long.

Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

Hi Makenza, you can instead use White glue to stick cardboard. You just have to apply a generous amount of white glue and hold the pieces together till it dries.
