For instance, if you start of adding one repeater, then putting it in a zone. populating talk groups that are one that one repeater. If there is one repeater, and you configure it completely in the order that it would be done, that would be helpful, and easy to follow.,
Andy,Thanks for this video. It was very helpful. I am just starting to programme my Hyt PD365. As you point out is a bit simpler than your example, but I am just following your workflow. It seems long winded but I guess by the time I'm finished I will understand DMR a bit better. I've pinched some of your suggestions and your channel abbreviations.RegardsBrian
on my receive I have to hit the PTT button in order to let the audio come through the speaker??... any suggestions on why that is happening? .............. otherwise the radio is working fine, but of course who wants to live with that issue!... I actually need to do this with every single received transmission, which means I actually need to LOOK at the radio to see when a transmission is coming through so I can briefly press the PTT in order to hear it !!

+Nick Kaberry no unfortunately not, each radio has a different codeplug and if you try to load a different one then it warns you... I'm not sure what happens if you proceed though, prob best not to try that one!

How do i change the channel order in the CPS software:P? It drives me NUUUTSS when i have programmed two channels one for Timeslots 1 and one 2. And these channels dont lay right below each other in the software! I havent figured out a way to sort the channels after name or grad and drop them:(. I have over 100 channels and finding channels that should be right next to each other is a nightmare!
heestenhats in zones there are 2 boxes. Available channels on the left box and your channel list on the right hand box. left click a ch in rh box to highlight it then click up or down Button on screen it will change the order then write to radio when you're happy with the order list
Hi Andy no because I couldn't read codes from radio it said enter password. So I tried reset to default and I got an error message. I think it may be a firmware update is needed in the radio. I have firmware upgrade kit but not sure how it works

Far too complicated, you would have to explain talk groups in far more detail before you get to the basic stuff like programming channel. Colour codes again no idea what your talking about, no details, I have no idea what a colour code actually is? Is it a tone, or is it encrypted I have no idea, you are making absolutely no sense. Sorry nothing personal but you are assuming far too much, zone?, colour code? , contacts?, totally confused?? Regards Kerry
Thanks for the feedback, it was a long time ago, I can’t remember but think it was intended for those who have programmed radios before. There are a lot of videos these days which run through the basics so I think if you watched those first it might make a bit more sense 😁

I own a PD372, PD782,PD682, MD782 and 2 MD652 radios and run most of them in analog mode because my programing skills on digital are so crappy. I mean don't read the radio at all, just load a cqodeplug from the default codeplug folder included in the CPS and then Write.
