Hi,Amanda. I’m a part-time graduate student from China, currently working on a thesis that involves comparing history teaching methods between China and the U.S. I came across your channel and found your content really insightful! I’m particularly interested in seeing real high school history classes in action. If you have any classroom recordings or can suggest where I might find some, it would be incredibly helpful for my research. Additionally, I would love to know what the current trends or hot topics are in U.S. history education from your perspective. Additionally, I’m interested in learning about the key scholars or influential figures in U.S. high school history education. If you have any recommendations on who I should look into or where I can access their work, that would be fantastic.Thank you so much for all the work you put into your channel, and I really appreciate any help or guidance you can offer!
I teach high school English and am going into my 6th year. These are fun ideas, thank you!! I've been wanting to switch up some of my back-to-school activities. Good luck this year!
Amanda, My students went back to school this past Thursday. I tried the “speed friendship dating” you suggested (you mentioned it in another video also) and it was a huge success. I think it especially helps new students feel at ease, and it breaks the ice for them to talk with others. Thanks for sharing that idea.
@@susannelson1117 oh wow! Already back at it! I hope it was a smooth 2 days and thank you! I love that activity. It’s never failed me and the students get to engage with each other with minimum pressure. Thank you for sharing your experience with it!
I teach HS Government , AP Gov. , World History . I require that students have at least two study partners for my class . We complete speed dating to help them pick partners . Before the speed dating we brainstorm questions to ask potential partners . This is the person that they will check with when they are absent .

Great idea!
Quick question Amanda. Do you implement groups based on students levels? If so I'm curious to know what that looks like in your classroom.❤❤❤
