I saw 4 of those Crowes/Oasis shows on that run. Am a way bigger BC fan, but Oasis were hot, Noel in particular flamed their sets. Great tour by both bands!
People in England DO get it more. I love Oasis and The Black Crowes and have seen both bands many times back in the day. I grew up at the right time, thank God.
As far as people from the US doing diabolical British accents are concerned, yes - that was definitely a better than average British accent. Perhaps not quite the right regional accent for Liam specifically but he nailed Liam’s attitude/douchebaggery.
I agree with what Chris says about the attitude of Oasis and certain other bands of the 90's being difficult (for some) to understand today. I personally was bored of the faux-humble, self-pitying, (mostly American) grunge and alternative music of the time, so the self-belief, confidence, and anti-establishment stance of bands like the Verve and Oasis was refreshing. Currently, it's hard to tell what's "real" in music because corporate advertising infiltrates every aspect of culture.
@@marcusmeadow2729 Yeah... not really. He and Eddie are one of the fakest for sure. I love their music but come on, Cobain was desperate for attention and it'd have been okay if he wasn't trying so hard to convince us that he wasn't.
Should have been called the dysfunctional brothers tour, but i still love BC. Just saw them (whats left of them) in September still put on a great show
I saw them on this tour at the Oakdale theater in Connecticut! Great fn show! The tour of brotherly love! Id say it was may 2001 before they blew us up. 🇺🇸 or something like that 🤔
Is it true Chris Robinson spit on some girl in a 7-11 because she didn't recognize him? The story goes he was in Denver in the 90s and girl didn't want to give up her place in the queue or something. I mean, whatever. Rock stars be rock stars but I've heard it from so many places it gives it more credence than the Richard Gere thing.
I was hoping for a response from someone who might have been in Denver at the time, but then again I was never a huge fan of the Black Crows, d'you know what I mean?
The days of rock stars throwing tvs and couches out hotel room windows or just thrashing the place with a massive party, are gone. Everyone's taking pictures/video with their phone, posting it online or selling their stories to the media. It's bullshit. I'm ashamed to admit it but my generation (I'm 31) killed the hedonistic rock n roll lifestyle. All the bands these days are a bunch of nancy's. There's no more kicking up a storm and being wild... And obviously there's some sort of correlation between the attitude, lifestyle and music because I honestly can't think of current true rock n roll star. It's fucking whack. Anyways, OASIS is godlike.
Trying to think of when it would’ve been. Seeing Oasis was the biggest band on the planet basically from go to finish. These guys, Black Crows is hardly more than a one hit wonder. A good tune, to be fair, but far from en par with Oasis.
Ummm....come on. He's dating himself because to think the young kids don't "don't" like authority and take what old people say for granted- piss off grandpa. You just made it clear your bad attitude is something to inspire rebellion for the better. So cheers :) But you aren't conscious of your role lead singer hubris.
Great story and im glad i grew up in the 80,s and 90,s but like others say the 90s music is still rocking in my car
Liam a legend

Fuck I miss 90s rock. However, it's still the 90s in my car.
I miss the 90s in general

Hell yeah man!!!!! Still the 90's in our cars our homes and headphones. Greatest decade for tunes and actual "rock stars" 🍻
People in England DO get it more. I love Oasis and The Black Crowes and have seen both bands many times back in the day. I grew up at the right time, thank God.
Not sure if they GET it more, but they certaintly encourage and embrace arrogance
Yeah man, you must be my age or close cuz the 80's and 90's were freaking epic
You KNOW Liam had just done some Peruvian marching powder in that bathroom and was feeling like a god ❄️
Actually a pretty decent Liam impression

Kurt Cobain was a real dude.

@@Chris-Ian your right. Thats why Kurt Kobain’s name will always be around. Who are you? 😂
@@marcusmeadow2729 Your point makes no sense. Kurt was a "real dude" because I'm not famous. Logic

he is just great. And he ages well...looks cool.... and what a hell of a voice....
I believe every word of this story... that is totally something Liam would say and do lmao
best story ever.
shit story thats it
Awesome story! LG is the king of the universe!
Not a bad Liam impersonation ! 😂😂😂
He is sooooo on with his comments! It is a generational thing.
he said "d'you know what I mean" almost as many times as Liam would in two minutes
I love his generic spinal tap accent for Liam 😂
Spot on.
About 200 miles out with its accent though. Sounded Cockney to me. Liam's from Manchetoh!
It was a little bit southern but he was pretty close with the northern pronunciation of fuck, unsurprisingly.
Should have been called the dysfunctional brothers tour, but i still love BC. Just saw them (whats left of them) in September still put on a great show
That's Chris Robinson ??? Jesus. I saw them ( Black Crowes ) at Donington 1991
Seen them Newcastle City Hall
Nailed the accent!
Haha he certainly did not.
I saw them on this tour at the Oakdale theater in Connecticut! Great fn show! The tour of brotherly love! Id say it was may 2001 before they blew us up. 🇺🇸 or something like that 🤔
Good memory! It was Late spring/early summer 2001.
How much gear do you reckon liam was on that night?
LIAM!
Ha he really nailed Liam ..
Liam Gallagher must have put on a Jamaican accent at the time...
Who is the guy doing the interview?
What's this show?
Good imitation ☺️
Nice hat Chris
Shoot, I thought it was Mick Fleetwood.
I guess by Black Crowes you mean the Robinson Brothers?
Liam IS John Lennon! According to him.
Really good English accent..
Liam's not a cockney though lol
and it isnt that great a story
Funny. But one question... why the new 'Bob Marley' ? I can think of few other references before I'd jump to that one.
i think he said white bob marley
Oh dear.
The Robinson Brothers Share Memories of Touring with Liam Gallagher. Fixed the title for you.
Liam is John Lennon.
"GODLIKE". lol
Real bands, real music. Everything sounds the same nowadays 😬🙄

The man in red looks like a horror movie
6 out of 10 for accent.
😆👍
Oasis was forced to tour with these guys thinking realistically
I can see that ha.
They weren’t forced,Noel Gallagher is actually a big fan of the black crowes,
Oasis are rubbish

Yup
I don't listen to oasis. Those Gallagher knuckle heads are definitely my favourite comedians though.
Underwhelming story
First ig
Worst attempt at an English accent ever
Who’s Liam Gallagher?
The fucking King of England.
Former singer for Oasis. Does solo work now.
Used to be in the biggest headlining band in the world, now plays sixth support at festivals in the likes of Bulgaria and Turkey.
Pretty underwhelming story
Worst Manchester accent in history 😂
That’s every Brummie accent ever.
Oasis is not a great band.
Oasis are the equivelant of the shitty toilet paper stuck to a heel compared to the mighty awe of Black Crowes

Go back to your safe space with all the other kids.
Robinson Bros are pathetic. One of the most over rated bands in history
good tale
