- After working for two weeks in Japan, I has hanging to get home and try my new Alfaholics exhaust...Wet, cold and slippery mountains roads didnt matter, I needed to get out there....New system sounds great and let engines pull much better, but it all needs iroing out a little
Absolutely superb, pure car porn. Perfectly balanced driving on what are clearly challenging roads in very dangerous conditions (patches of wet and dry). Enthusiastic and yet respectful. And let's face it, who would want to stuff a corner and slide over the edge?! You sir are a Maestro and this is your chariot! Bravo!!
Thanks Seeka...prob not the best day for filming in a classic convertible, but modern tech in tires does help immensely:-) Yes this road is very narrow...not one of my favs to be honest because it is so tight and narrow, but makes for nice footage....maybe not so in the wet.
71-74 the best of the flat back spiders IMHO here in the US with Spica injection.
Nice video and sound, yours...I have an '87 Quad with the Alfaholics system...mine is a bit muted for me, so might remove the resonator and make it a straight through pipe...

Yes....but less in the Spider. Driving it really hard with more modern suspension, wheels and tires puts a strain on the body it was probably never designed for. This Spider can do it {mountain roads at a moderate clip} but the pinnifarina bodies aren't as rigid as the Bertone coupes so need to be treated "easier" in some respects. I have a Lotus Exige as well that cops the abuse these days, and the Spider now has a less frantic life. Trying to look after it a bit more as it's value rises. It still gets driven in a spirited way every now and again though🙂

Feels great...rewarding ,...short wheelbase and live rear axel means it does let go in the rear eventually, but you can hussle it along pretty quick for an old girl

Thanks...yeah sounds pretty throaty. Rebuilt 40mm Webers . Alfaholics stainless exhaust system, including extractors.
Goodness this sounds great! Keeping my fingers crossed I may be able to purchase one. What about your steering wheel? Is that factory?

Do you have a CAT on this system, and is the rear muffler/resonator removed or in place?
AlfaBoy its just as it comes from Alfaholics....on a stock 1750 Nord engine......rear muffler is used, and main as well.

Turbo ? No turbo. May because the external mic is right down near the exhaust outlet.

V nice. Did you notice an increase in power?
Maybe a tiny bit, but not a massive unleashing ...it's lucky to have 120-130 bhp as it is.......it's full stainless which is the main reason

Yeah, I think the gopro wide angle lens always gives a distorted view reality sometimes:-) No issue at 1.40 really ... front fender looks over the line often and the car looks further 'over' from wide angle gopro view than what it really is ... Promise it was all safe and well within limits:-)
LOL no, it's cause I'm an American and even though I know you're supposed to drive on the left, seeing that car oncoming on the right...just weird. :)

Thanks mate. Just standard intake with brand new filter....just gets too loud on top of new open exhaust. Misses still has to come on long trips, so needs to be livable:-)
