Seen your other videos, what exhaust system do you have on it ?

Glorious sounds! Thanks for sharing - this is now my go-to stress reduction video - always makes me smile - FYI, on my 73 Spider (2.0l, Spica FI) I replaced the (Ferrari) twin chrome pipe rear muffler (rest of the exhaust is stock) with a Centerline large diameter GTV straight pipe (no muffler, angled chrome exit) and it now sounds more like your wonderful Alfaholics system - amazing tones from a small in-line four cylinder 👍👍

Let it be a rule now, that no music should be used in any video with Alfa’s in it. Specially when the Alfa is older than, say, 25 years.

Holy moly... I have driven a 1740cc swapped Duetto and from my grandpa (my father had it before my birth and gave it to his dad) absolute purism... I will never understand people saying four cylinder cars sound bad... Well a Golf 1.4 TFSi does .... but these guys never heard an Alfa.. rather driven one .... I was smiling through the whole time (2-4h) driving this one and yes that's a feeling you literally wanna feel again, I always loved Alfas since I was a lil child... and my dream car is not the Spyder (even its a beauty and good to ride (fast enough for thinking these small tyres could make some problems in the corners (well my day also has some, so we were good, but I was afraid of ruin my gtanddads car haha)) but the Bertone the Giulia GT is my loved one ... this "face" of the car... and well the engine is nearly the same harsh and rough sounding four cylinder which are surely the reason for my goose bumps haha... As a child I was at the "Salzburgring" and about 10-15 Giulia GTAs (maybe GTAm) were there with their un-mufflered side pipes ... a gift to my ears.... ❤:D

That sound! When parading slowly at low revs it would have a low, rumbling noise like a baritone. But if you rev’d it, it changed into a sonata of tearing wallpaper passing on the sensations through the vibrations in the wooden steering wheel. The 1750 is by far the most desirable engine. A true classic!

This brings back fond memories. I owned a ‘69 Duetto Spider 1750 Veloce, sleek, ultra low, no headrests or seat belts. And I drove it from Netherlands to Rome and back for our honeymoon. And to a reunion with (male only) friends in France. Doing 200kph in the Ardennes until the original tires started smoking. That sound… you just cannot hold back. I sold it before it killed me. But bjesus, I felt ALIVE!

Excellent drive, but man, daybreak and driving in Australia seems to be begging to hit a kangaroo.
