    I keep one finger on the tab key to toggle box mode while working in SubD to quickly find the overlaps and pinches. (7:47}

    For smoother joining surface it would be better to cut both surfaces and then build new surface with Surface-Blend command. I wish Rhino had a better fillet algorithm.

      You are right. you can cuse blend as well. It may still show a line at rendering tho.

    how do you switch on the the editing arrows when you manipulate a surface in rhino

      you can click on arrow head or click Flip in the command options.
