    I knew ABBA was big in the world with its sound, but seeing so many people get touched by their music really does me a stir in my soul! When they made their breakthrough in the 1970s, the media did not exist in this way as it does today. When I look at different reactions, I get warm in my heart and have little hope for humanity. That when the music can unite is incredibly wonderful. If any group can do this, it's ABBA with its catchy music. Greetings from Sweden!

    they are called Abbatars, motion capture suits, 160 plus cameras, and 5 weeks work to get the group digitized. this is to be put together as virtual concert next spring in London at the ABBA Arena. those who get there should have a great experience.

    Dear Valerie, when I heard the song for the first time, I got so emotional, it goes right in to your heart doesn’t it, and when you hear it a couple of times, and you close your eyes you can see the video about the story in your own head, en memories come back, what a voice and a song, but I am 57 and a huge ABBA fan, glad they came back, just when we needed them the most, greetings from The Netherlands, you’re so nice 🥰

    I LOVE ABBA! I was born in 69 and heard them all through the 70s. Missed them. They sound so good. They are using virtual holographic avatars for their show in UK. Its them doing the movements wearing the suits but it appears as their younger selves on stage. Wish I could go.

    I adore ABBA. I am from Pakistan. And you know, you think we are all cavemen, who are upto no good. Friends, that's not true for that part of my beloved motherland is negligible. I have grown old with ABBA and they were and still are the most popular band in my country. TERRORISTS DON'T LISTEN TO MUSIC, LEAVE ASIDE THE POP SIDE.
    Lovely review, by the way. LOVE YOU ALL.

    The uncanny talent Benny and Björn have of storytelling with great, engaging melodies has brought back a form of popular music we lost 40 years ago. Being in my 60s and being a singer from a very early age, I agree with you about vocal longevity!

    Abba are building a 3000 capacity purpose built arena in London for the avatar concerts. They spent 5 weeks recording in motion capture suits in front of 160 cameras and the concerts will have Abba as they looked in 1979. This lyrics alludes to them as avatars

    Agnetha's voice is just as powerful as Frida's, and just as expressive, only in a different tone and register, like it always was.

    • @PJMurphyNJ
      @PJMurphyNJ 2 роки тому +2

      I feel Agnetha's voice is stronger and she is definitely more expressive than Frida. You can see in Agnetha 's expressions as she sings, true feeling of the words of the songs. The worst of the group is Benny. He smiles through very sad songs. Drives me nuts. 😆

      They both still have vocal power

    • @slashdisco
      @slashdisco 2 роки тому +5

      @@PJMurphyNJ Are you kidding? Firstly, the comment you're replying to is about Agnetha's voice *in this song*, not as a whole. But to say that Agnetha's voice is stronger than Frida's as a whole does a massive disservice to Frida. She leads on some of ABBA's best-known and best-selling hits, and literally one of the most famous characteristics of ABBA is that Agnetha and Frida are evenly matched vocally. If you still doubt Frida's expressiveness, rewatch Take A Chance On Me - a true duet, but Frida's dancing and physical expression is much stronger than Agnetha's. They BOTH have their strengths.

    • @PJMurphyNJ
      @PJMurphyNJ 2 роки тому +1

      @@slashdisco Not kidding at all. Frida is lead on 'some ', so that doesn't even hold water. She also is very dull when it comes to facial expression of the feelings of the songs. Agnetha brings the feeling of every song she sings. She can bring a tear to your eye, Frida can not. Sorry, just doesn't happen. Frida has a good voice, but it doesn't give that power, soul/heart feel. My opinion, my preference for the songs that reach me. I do like some of Frida's songs that she sings, but far less than Agnetha's. So some of her 'hits', don't make my Playlist. Again, my opinion for me.

    • @slashdisco
      @slashdisco 2 роки тому +4

      @@PJMurphyNJ Err, yeah, I know that it's your 'opinion'. Every UA-cam comment is an opinion, so you don't need to keep saying that. Considering you're an ABBA fan, you also know that you've wilfully misquoted my use of the word "some". I said Frida was lead on *some* of ABBA's best songs, as was Agnetha. I didn't say Frida only led on *some* songs. They were pretty damn equal. Anyway, I acknowledge your 'opinion', but you should know that it's pretty far out there in terms of ABBA fandom. Most of us recognise the talents of both girls equally.

    The big global news of this 21st century for the music world is the return of the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA to the recording studios after more than 35 years (the last was "The day before you came") and the edition of his new songs after 39 years (the last was "Under attack") and a new album after almost 40 years (the last was "The Visitors")
    Beyond that these three data are for the Guines Book of records (I believe that No Group or Singer or Artist can come close to these incredible brands), the most remarkable thing is How they returned, with what level of quality And I must say that ABBA overcame all fears, doubts and expectations Their return is shocking and his quality is still valid
    "Don't shut me down"
    it's another surprise from ABBA
    A pop song was expected, but there were reservations and fears for what it could be (and here I include doubts to the voices of the girls due to their age) And we find a magnificent work
    The beginning is with Agnetha's voice attacking with the pleasant company of the piano. What Agnetha does in that introduction is anthology, exquisite modulating and using different nuances with her mature voice.
    Until Benny's signature piano glint (nod to the mega hit "Dancing Queen") and ABBA's typical pop song is with us, with the fans, because the lyrics speak to us.
    and Agnetha assumes that decoding of almost four decades and gives us her beautiful voice as the strings grow and lead to a memorable chorus with Frida reliving the historic third voice of ABBA
    But it doesn't end there, the second part adds hooks and a xylophone is added to the bells (a nod to the marimba in "Mamma Mía"), and the pre-chorus has more force with Agnetha and Frida and the violins anticipate the elevation to a chorus triumphant final anthology reminiscent of his greatest hits
    And it ends with a soft and sweet Agnetha voice and piano melody (as the begin, a double nod to "Thank you for the music")
    Thank for your great reaction
    and for Your respect to ABBA music
    now we are waiting for the new album
    and see in next ABBA vídeo
    GOD bless You

    Valerie, you being of Swedish decent, if you ever get to Stockholm and have a few hours to kill, absolutely definitely go to the ABBA museum. For an extra treat you can start in Gamla Stan and take a quick boat ride across to the museum which is close to the Vasa museum, another interesting tour. But the ABBA museum is NOT some dry and dusty exhibit. It is full of memorabilia ... outfits from concerts and the like and a lot of interactive things. You can go into a booth for example and sing along with an ABBA song. Take the little phone headset thing that you can touch to points along the way through the museum and listen to the stories. I was in there for nearly 3 hours and still didn't get through the whole thing. You'll come away with a whole new appreciation of ABBA. 😊

    'I'm not the same,this time around...'the essential of human life. Acknowledge that the world is changing,yourself are changing and we all have to cope. The task is,keep the good, change the bad and stay true to yourself. That means also, that with age, there also come weaknesses which we need to accept.But never accept, that there are important things, we can't do anymore, we can, maybe in another way.Also, we have the right to demand from others, to accept us, too, the way we are now. Folks out there, realize the older generation still has a lot to give, like ABBAs creativity, enjoy.

    Valerie one listen is not enough.You"ll need a 2nd one and even more.So many things hidden in it to discover,to dig out and decode, appart what is obvious.This beautiful song with Agnetha's fragile performance on the lead is growing to be Abba's new little masterpiece of nowadays.Lyrics are dope and have already become new codes of communication amongst Abba fans.Phrase by phrase are already slogans.And its nostalgia-scented melody, has caused both sheer happyness and an unexplained tearful consolation.And i'm sure this one will also stand the test of time along with their others.New album "VOYAGE" is out in just a few days!

    I feel I am an ABBA expert! We need them so much at this of history. They will never be a day to day group. Both guys have been married many years now and Anni Frid was married to a Prince in Switzerland until he died and she is with another man. Agnetha as far as I know, and she is one I have been writing too for almost 9 years. I have never gotten any mail back and never expected to. There are good reason why and will go into that. I guess you could say I am in love with her and it is unrequited and I am not disappointed. She is so special for so many reasons.

    That second floor is the reunion and THE kids that left the park is that the years have gone by and that the bench is Hard is that it was time for a change.
    Apartment that dident change I think means that the reunion felt like the best time when ABBA was at the top.
    And that they are not the same today and all the frustration between Them has faded.
    But they are the same person today but they are older and even they not look the same but they are Still ABBA.
    And they are reloaded again , I think means that they wanted to do this again.
    There is alot in this song and Lyrics..

Then then decided to make an album. The avatars are their 1979 selves which they chose. So what you saw today was the avatars being prepared for the show which starts in May. If you were into that song.. you would never pause on the moments you did. You ruined your reaction video and the song.. sry... as I do like your MJ reaction videos!

      I would have had to listen to it first to find the best times to stop and then it wouldn't be a real honest reaction, in the moment. Sorry you were annoyed. I just recovered from COVID and this was my first video after my recovery.
