Some think he is slanted but we also went on Celebrity Ascent and then on Sun Princess within a month of each other (just recently) and everything he says is exactly how it is. Celebrity wins hands down. Others that did the same as us thought so too.
I believe cruising is all about A persons perspective, and it's obvious you prefer Celebrity over Princess regardless of how good or bad it was. I've been on many Princess ships and one Celebrity and I liked them both, but I did not necessarily see Celebrity being better, but was about the same. The Beyond had 4 MDR's with different food selections between them, and you are dead wrong about Princess menu selections, cause items you said they don't offer, they absolutely do. I never once saw the maitre d' and the service was dead slow every night. Just because you didn't see it or couldn't find it doesn't mean it's not there or offered. I did enjoy my Celebrity cruise, just like the Princess cruises, along with Norwegian, MSC, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, but to me they all have their strong points and weak points. After nearly 45 cruises in 8 years I've done a lot of cruising, but I also don't have a preference on one or the other. On a scale of 1-10 for accuracy on your video, I give you a 3.
Sorry you get I was biased. I tried to be fair in my assessments and just reported what we experienced. We’ve been on almost 50 cruises and most have been on Princess. We are Elite and enjoy the perks that we get from Princess because of our past loyalty. However, there was a decide decline in princess from the past. They can do better but they didn’t.

I was concerned about negative reviews I have read of late saying food and service have deteriorated. This particular cruise has more days at sea than I like, so food, service and entertainment are even more of a concern than usual!! Any stateroom advice? We are currently booked in a "Prime Concierge Verandah".
Man, you are so slanted towards Celebrity your comparison almost does not seem real. Cruise Lines are like children each with their own strengths and their own weaknesses. That's how I see it after 144 cruises taken since 1971. Sadly, people are as polarized about cruise lines as they are politics!
I’m sorry, but you are wrong! Princess has been our go to for several years but this year the 3 Princess cruises we took were not up to par! I’m hopeful that the Sun in December will restore my trust. Just calls ‘em as I sees em!
Our view that has been polarised because (in our experience) Princess Customer Service has been so poor ! That for me means everything and that decides where we spend our hard earned money. I thought the review said it how it actually is right now!
Our cruise on Sun Princess was very disappointing in my opinion (April 24). I agree, Customer Service was extremely poor, we were basically just ignored when we approached them. … I could go on but my family are voting with our feet (and wallets) …. We’ve rebooked on Celebrity for our next cruise and won’t be going back to Princess !
100% agree...cruised with princess a lot pre pandemic. finally got back on a couple weeks ago and i couldn't believe it. 15 mins to get a drink, 40 mins to get an appetizer, then another 40 mins to get the main course. service is a disaster now...i actually think the crew was sick or something that they didn't announce...never seen so few servers on a cruise in my life.
Appreciate everything you said. I am a one-time cruiser (Celebrity) and my wife is a newbie, so we are deciding which way to go. This helped a lot!

Great comparison between Princess and Celebrety. Too bad, Princess got sucked into being controlled by Carnival...it shows.

Hope your cruise is fantastic! We truly enjoyed the ship. No advice on cabins. We had a regular balcony and it was great.

hands down celebrity...princess is a shit show now and have lost it.
