1:35 i noticed a lot of hunter didnt know that unlike eggs in pokemon go, we can just discard driftstones as we please. Just click on any undesired driftstone, click the white info box at the bottom, and there will be a trash icon on top left.
Really helpful when you finally get that one skill you needed from a particular driftstone type to free up space. Especially with this upcoming event no less.
I have a ton of g8 armors. Sitting at 14 atm. Most of what ya covered I got. Thanks to that breaker life XD 😅 I'm about to come up on 2nd gem and now I'll save it for this new gem. I am curious to throw it on jho chest. I did consider the jho waist too. I need to have dragon attack mixed well with partbreaker. Atm I can run breaker 4 dragon attack 2 but lvl 3 would be nice. That build also has latent 1 and wex lvl 2. It's my lance build I'm sure ya will see me on your friends list with it on. That build is strong carries me and others easily. Also another option that's not mentioned is that crit boost wouldn't be a bad investment into armor pieces that carry weapon specific skills ( excluding artillery as you mentioned since affinty and crit boost doesn't affect shells/blast) Soo say armor pieces with "quick work" or " power prolonger " would be wise for the crit boost roll that way they can add affinty to the other 3 armor pieces. I feel we are gonna see nothing but strong affinty weapons from here on out.
Hey, remember that Crit Meta vid? Yeah, Crit boost can really make that happen. Mizu, Blind guy, Snow Leopard weapons are actually good with crit builds. For them, just use Crit Eye 5, WEX 4, and Crit boost 5. It'll be guaranteed to boost damage by 50% on weakness parts
for melee jho weapons, would you choose WE or CE? this is for my jho dual blade build for CE route jho weapon (+2burst) jho head (melt dragon atk) odo armor (melt CE) rathian arm (melt burst) jho waist (melt dragon atk) kulu (melt anything) with this you get dragon+5, CE+5 Burst +5, and adds KO+2 from head for WE route, jho weapon (+2 burst) C.pukei (melt WE) rathalos armor (melt anything) rathian arm (melt burst) jho waist (melt dragon atk) p.rathian (melt dragon atk) with this you get dragon +5, WE+5, Burst +5, and adds special boost +2 from feet
I’m think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to put a few of these skills into armour that you use all the time. If later on they upgrade our armour to be able to use several slots at once you then can capitalize.
Yup! You just have to worry about switching the skills every time you use it for a different build. Hopefully the fix it soon and let armor loadouts remember our driftslot skills as well
Question: With the armour pieces with two drifsmelting slots... I am adding skills into the first slot and got WEX, but have not upgraded it to lv8 yet to unlock the second slot. Can I continue to try get a second WEX into the first slot while I get the materials to unlock the second slot and then the second slot just uses the same pool of skills that the first slot has? Or is it a new pool for the second slot. I don't have any of the armour pieces with two slots unlocked yet and I need to use insta smelt to clean out the last two pale dritstones in my bag.
@brianmurdoch2449 i havent unlocked the 2nd slot on the mizu mail too but in theory it should still get skills from the same skill pool drift smelted into the armor.

And lastly, I am very curious to know what the other driftstone-specific skills will be…because if one of those is *artillery*, then maybe driftsmelting into the basarios chest would be more reasonable!😉 (…but even then, the basarios greaves would be more ideal!😅)
Assuming the average player pops 2 eggs / day, plus uses the 3 free insta-smelts, that’s 17 driftsmelts (19? Is it 7 or 8 day event?), that means most players will not get even 1 skill they want… I myself will likely not be using my shards on a purple stone, probably cyan since it’s a 2/3 chance of getting a good skill.
I’ll just go with the flow with this event and won’t go gaga about it. I just want pale driftgems for sneak attack hehe. Thank you for the driftgem event notice!
Crit boost increases critical hit damage so it relies heavily on your affinity so if you don't have decently high affinity or aren't already running crit eye and wex it's not super worth it
Crit boost provide a great damage boost to critical hits. It's like heroics but you don't need to get your health below 30%. But now you have to make a build that has high affinity using crit eye skills and wex

You can get both crit boost and dragon attack in one armor. Dependinv on how many slots the armor piece has you can get use both dragon and crit boost at the same time

btw if you do the math mostly crit boost is not worth it (or same valued) as 5wex5ce even losing 1wex or 1ce makes up the crit boost win

Desire sensor is always active for me and never got what I want, that's why I just driftsmelt whichever armor and stone is available.

-30% doesn't affect my crit eye since i have naturally +5CE so im still good positive, and another 40% from wex...

Yes, you can have up to 10 driftstone skills per piece of armor
Some armors alow you to use 2 out of the max of 10 at once. Not many armors though
