  • This week we are hard at work on our 1UZ V8 Swap Toyota Pickup. We remove the motor, and then you find out how I take the body off the frame with basic tools and without the use of a hoist.

Last time I pulled a cab off by myself, I used the engine hoist. doors off with old seat belts connected to the seat mounting holes, super sketch but worked!
I'm a toyota guy and wheel with jeep guys and utv guys. Mostly utv guys..I do all the same trails with better style and more entertainment than all of them.
I also am the only guy that built my own rig..
They always give me a hard time socially about how I'm always working on my trucks. I have 3.
And how toyotas must suck because I'm working on them all of the time.. again I have 3.
I choose to work on them most of the time. Once in awhile a belt will fail, or a 30yr old weld, maybe a bushing, or an aftermarket part.
But these a holes are 60k at least into a machine and they can't tell you anything about how it works.
When an axle breaks they have no tools or a spare.
When they find a replacement axle it's not cheap or available.
They're sitting out the next trip waiting...
They look at me with amazement when I replace an axle on the trail in 30 min.
They are amazed I drive it 350 miles to moab and drive it home.
    They think I'm an idiot..
I think they're uneducated on how fun should work..
The smiles to miles and $ should be in the positive all the time.
Toyota is the best investment for fun I have found.
And I love working on them.
    I will probably have a 4th toyota tomorrow. And it's a sweet 3rd gen 4runner.
A little smashed in the front but nothing a man can't fix. A TOYOTA MAN!

I have a gigantic maple tree in my back yard , one of the limbs that sticks out is about the size of a normal tree i wrapped a chain around it with a pulley and i use the winch off my truck to pull cabs, beds , very easy as opposed to before having 4 or 5 guys lift, this way no one loses a finger or two lol

I used 8 ton jack stands sitting on a stack of cut up 4X4's and a pair of pressure treated scaffolding planks to raise my cab. Sitting next to it was a new frame with the help of some fence pipe iI pushed the cab over onto the frame.

Great video. I hate ads here on UA-cam. It seems slimy that both Ford and Hyundai can monetize your Toyota Videos.
    Keep up the great work!

I use premium so I never actually see the ads played on my videos. But that is funny!

Canadians get tough by Aarm wrestling bears and squeezing maple syrup out of the trees by hand.

Big question!! You know if the 94 extra cab 2wd are same as the 4wd cabs, wanting to do frame swap.
