@@mingsun3992 Humanity is not designed or meant to be united. In certain circumstances it can very briefly, but it is fleeting. We are all different in our cultures, in our personalities, in our desires, hopes, and dreams.
Unlike other films, this film does not emphasize how great a particular country（for example China)or a particular man is, but more about how people from different countries unite to cope with big crises. I have watched it and got a lot of inspiration. Humans need to unite to survive in this universe。

A three hours (173mins) movie that did not feel like 3 hrs when you were glued to the epic story and presentation.
I have just watched this movie today, I was shocked, there are so many different epic scenes, so many shocking moments, so many special affects, and the biggest different from Hollywood movie, this movie really showing the power of unitified humankind , not one hero, not 2 hero's saving the world.
Anyway, amazing movie, worth to watch it twice .
Do NOT walk away after the movie is finished! There's actually a post credit scene for this movie and it was absolutely mind blowing！

Impeccable production, great visuals, and CGIs on Earth, the moon, and huge explosions. A classic sci-fi movie with many references to Odyssey 2001:Space Odyssey, The Meteor (1979), or Harmagedon (1998). You won't be surprised that in the movie's world order, the Western world seems so disorganized and subject to violence while China shows strong discipline and a leading edge.
China sems to be authoritarian entity which controls every aspect of individual life and crushes dissent . While the West celebrates liberty .

IMO this is the first mainland Chinese movie that could be considered a great movie. I love how it doesn't try to copy Hollywood, but takes a different direction with its depiction of collective heroism. The SFX are also awesome - maybe not as polished as top Hollywood productions, but not far off. It's become one of my favorite sci-fi movies along with Interstellar and Blade Runner.

It still amazes me how we are in the habitable zone and just imagine a few thousand km closer or further from the sun and youll see either burning or either freezing!
