Super easy instructions, thank you. Am putting this on a door to a small apartment within a house for short term renting. Wouldn't it be super easy for a renter to just look up this video and change the code himself?

I'm trying to install this device on a door where the interior handle is on the right side of the door. Do you have any information on how to swap the direction of the locking turn?

Why the factory reset is not deleting?

Hi @yeseniarodriguez9342 -Please try a different set of batteries and follow these steps in order:
1. Factory Reset, and perform the Door Rehanding in Steps 16 and 15:

2. Program the User Code in Step 6.
3. Test the lock with the door open.

Hi - The key is used to lock and unlock the deadbolt, should the batteries die. The lock can be installed and used electronically even if you do not have the key, yet we recommend re-keying the lock in case the batteries were to die. Thanks ~ Kwikset Social

I just installed this lock and it works fine if the key is inserted but if I take the key out it won't work. The key only comes out in the locked position

I figured it out after leaving the comment. I had to remove the exterior faceplate and rotate the spindle 360° and then reassemble the lock

Hi! Please reinstall the lock with the key removed from the cylinder and ensure that the flat blade is in the vertical position. Please see Section 4-B here:
