This reminds me of one of those flash games I would play for hours, not quite realizing how much time I was spending on it.

TBH I kinda was thinking more of a classic .io game, but thinking about it I can totally see this as the kind of game you would play in computer lab in elementary school.

The dev definitely has to be italian because I see a lot of references or wordplays with italian words written as if they were english (eg. peachone is a transliteration of piccione, the italian word for pigeon). Also, all character names are italian.
Nice little game, gotta agree that it kinda reminds me of SNKRX. And that's a big compliment for me.
Also "santa" water - that's "saint" or holy.

Dunno if anyone mentioned it, but the reason you didn't get more new items further on is that it looks like you have a limited inventory in the upper left. 5 weapons and 5 support items.
You also need a matching support item to evolve each weapon, which is why he wasn't getting any more evolutions either.
I believe it's 6. Not 5 but yeah you are limited in items
yea it's 6 weps 6 items, but if you get a chest with 5 items when full on items, theres a chance to get up to 2 additional items as a bonus, which you can then level. Luck OP ;P
@@natanaru it is 6 but because of your starter weapon it’s really only 5 weapons and 6 items
You can get more "Support" items, though that's only possible through chests. Leveling up is only for what's available to upgrade once 6 slots are full.
So satisfying to watch the crosses just _melt_ hordes of enemies.

I hope for a mini series. I can understand it becomes boring after a while, but 1 episode isn't enough for me :p
Great find back then when this was hidden, you even played it before Splattercat, and helped jumpstart the Bullet Heaven Phenomenon.
Its surprisingly relaxing watching people play this game. I'd very much like to see another run or two.

Crimson Land was AMAZING fun. Felt like a roguelike with the random enemy waves, random weapons, random upgrades until you got killed. Guess it'd count more as arcade-y though.
That was unreasonably interesting and I'd definitely be interested in seeing more.
Would genuinely love to see a mini series of this or something! It is definitely intriguing and looks fun

Fun to watch, nearly had an aneurism when he wasnt realizing to fire the boomerangs opposite direction from where the big groups are
I played this and you do not control the aim of any of the attacks and trying to make the boomerangs fire in the direction you want is near impossible

For any android users, the game "Magic survival" (might be a wip title idk) offers the same concept. I can attest to it being quite neat.
Crimsonland was updated ages ago when it was added to Steam. Worthwhile to put on your wishlist and wait for a sale.
I actually went and got this game and i'm enjoying it, i really hope there are more characters and upgrades to come!

Hey man thanks for letting me know about this game, i'm having a really fun time... I also read Santa water and was like *giggle* until I realise is a bad translation (intentional?) from spanish "holy" , which it should be "bendita" instead of "santa", the thing is "bendita" translates more to "blessed". Howhever, "holy" can be translated to "santa" when talking abuot a femenine figure, for explame the "holy mother" (la santa madre)
This reminds me of the old Dynasty Warriors where you just mow down mobs over and over and over
this reminds me a lot of Magic Survival, super fun yet simple little mobile game. i highly recommend it!
So I saw you playing this on Twitch and bought the game, played it a few hours yesterday but struggle to ever get past 10 minutes, and now I see on your first attempt you got over 14? omg
as near as I can tell from watching the field upgrades as you kill things, you upgrade as you pick up the drops from kills, so difficulty ~total% of drops you have yet to pick up, so optimal play isn't killing effectively, it's finding ways to clear that leave you both safe and able to collect your drops.
since almost evertything you've got is gonna toss shots in every direction and you can't stop firing that's actually kina hard to do, guess you just spec hard into close range and the wands.
would also mean that the santa water is pretty much the worst possible choice.
So simple mechanics and yet so addictive.
About sound effects. You could use Windows default Volume mixer to decrease sound for this process (game)

This game is great! The guy developed a whole new genre of - i read it somewhere they call it - "reverse bullet hell game" or so.
Seems that this is the only game of this kind by now. But i am sure, it will be developed further (it´s only in ea by now) and i am more than sure there will be other games like this in the future, if devs will see, how popular this game is.
I needed some more tries to get as far as you came in this video. But now i think i will be completely through the game soon. It is so fun!!

First time I have ever been glad to see a dev raise the price of their game. Get that bag. At $5 now it's still insane value.
This is vary good to watch
The Bible weapon is awesome, and I think they are only deceptively weak at first. You need to get at least 3-4 upgrades going to really start seeing it. The Bible is much better at snowballing than most of the other default unlocked weapons are, and scales quickly. It starts getting better with fewer upgrades (faster, more of, lower cooldown). By level 8 or so, Bibles start feeling like they're the only thing keeping you alive. Upgrades not only increase damage, but also increase area of effect, reduce cooldown between bible appearances, and increase speed of the spin. You can also get other items that boost projectiles, area, and speed specifically.
Candelabra (increased area) and plus-to-projectile also goes very well with Bible, as well as the ultimate form of the axe and increased duration. If there's a real underperformer (as far as I know), it's the knife, aside from I think being necessary to evolve your boomerang/cross (that's what happened to the knife in this -- it merged into a new item -- at least, I *think* it did). I think the magic wand doesn't scale very well until you get its evolved form (many upgrades + candelabra). You pretty much need 360-degree coverage after 10 minutes in, and the Bible gives an easy route there.

I've been playing a similar premise mobile game called Magic Survival recently, its a surprisingly engaging genre for the content it has.
Once I saw the evolved cross I was sold. Def gonna buy the game, hope the dev can improve and build on the game.

There's a similar concept mobile game that's been out for a while called Magic Survival that's pretty fun.
i've played a drove of these types of games on my phone, i forget the name but one i found had a cool system where you could merge spells together to create a new spell similar to the way the evolved spell works, wish i could remember the name
