    It is truly amazing how you cook these wonderful dishes and wear that cute white blouse and not get any stains on it. But you also did state that you dislike mess so maybe that's the key. And by the way, made this rice and LOVED IT!!!

    Don’t know how UA-cam reads my mind…Literally just added tomatoes to my fried rice and then this video shows up in my feed??? That sear on the meat changes everything when making fried rice. Thanks Marion!

    I guess it really is an Asian mum thing to add sugar. You don't taste the sweetness; it just harmonizes and balances the strong flavors in the dish.

    Marion's taught me so much about fried rice and fried noodles that I can just wing it and it comes out good. I made stir fried noodles with barbecue sauce, veggies and beef the other day and it was delicious. Still hate chopping up veggies though. My knife skill is terrible.

    I’m so grateful you mention that people need to give their food time to actually cook in a regular domestic setup aka stovetop range/induction burners! I watch assorted vlogs and always see people adding ingredients and saying- now stir fry and they drop in cold ingredients into a barely warm pan and push it around fast and drop in something new before that even slightly cooked... etc...
    And they’ve missed the whole browning element much less cooking it at all. Also, I know this one is sort of controversial, but in a home, it’s virtually impossible to properly use a wok. I think it’s a shame people use these wok shaped skillets and miss an opportunity to actually cook the food better by using a flat pan that would be adapted for the flat range top.
    I believe i learned all this watching ATK and found out for home use, it’s just better to use an iron skillet if you have it and cook each ingredient-
    I do use a wok shaped pan for some items so I can make use of pushing up ingredients and cooking a new addition on the bottom- like adding sauce or egg...

    I've used her method every time I use ground meat since I saw it in the first video. It's worth it to leave it to brown for a few minutes. Makes a big difference in flavor.

    Even though I'm struggling along with the Keto Diet, I never miss an episode of Marion's Kitchen. Yes, I'm a masochist, but these are way too good to miss. 🤤

      I’m keto too. I’m going to make this recipe with cauliflower rice.. or maybe like half and half broccoli and cauliflower rice. I use Braggs amino acids in place of soy sauce and Lakanto brown as a sugar substitute and I think it’s good to go. The secret to the (cauliflower) rice is to fry it out separately, on medium heat, about 15 minutes or so, until it becomes dried out and slightly crispy. Hoping that will keep it from getting mushy.

    Love this. Going to cook tomorrow. I always add tomatoes to my thai crab fried rice. It adds a moistness and umami flavour that I enjoy so much. It’s great to have super quick dishes like this for the times when i just want something quick and delicious. Thanks and love Marion x

    I could eat this everyday and some weeks I do😜 Love this for my fist meal of the day. Interesting, doesn't matter what The husband does, his rice is always a-cross between sticky sushi rice or pudding - it doesn't matter what type of rice he uses. Even when the recipe doesn't call for that texture 😢 We don't let him make rice anymore, His baking skills are on point.

    Going to make this now 😋😋. You have me inspired. Have all the stuff. Accustomed here in the states of having green peas aka English peas and carrots in fried rice so adding that in too. I love when chefs demonstrate and use the phrase “I’m going in with, now let’s go in with,”. So cool and just makes it sound so exciting. You’re very talented and fun to watch.     I just watched your crispy fried egg video and you and your mom are so cute together. And BTW, I can understand why she would think the wok is the better choice. Since it's rounded, the egg sits in the bottom/center and is cradled by the wok, and doesn't spread like it might in a flat pan. Which would be helpful for someone like me who has never cooked an egg this way. Anyway, thank you! I'm definitely going to try the fried rice with the crispy fried egg.

    Can you please please post more dishes with nam prik pao? I miraculously found the maepranom brand in Montreal and need some way to use it in a dish that's not prawn-based.     😲 I never thought to add tomatoes to fried rice. And I LOOOOOVE TOMATOES!!!! So much so that my favorite snack is tomatoes, salt, and lime/lemon juice!!! Chunky chopped 😋😋😋😋😋🤗

    Hi Marion, what a lovely garlic pork fried rice right there ! I’ve been cooking fried rice but never thought of adding tomatoes instead..Filipinos used to eat fried rice for breakfast with salted fish, fried eggs, vegetables salad and black coffee, Terrible right ? ! Hahahaha, but I’m craving for it ! I love foods and cooking and Dream to cook in a big screen too ! Fried rice is more delicious using clean fingers to eat. Mukbang !

    My boyfriend doesn't like tomatoes or very spicy food, so instead of 3 tbsp of gochujang I've been doing 1 tbsp of gochujang and about 1 or 2 tbsp of tomato paste. I really wanted to keep the tomato flavor since that's what turned me on to this recipe 🤣

      Lol. I do this all too often with her vids it usually makes me hungry Which is a no no at midnight or 2 am when I usually sleep. Tonight I’m on holiday in bed watching this whilst my husband is snoring next to me. Her joyfulness and amazing food cheers me up and makes me not want to smother him with a pillow. 😂

    3:20 I was a chef in a Thai restaurant and these Wok stations get REALLY hot haha, HUUUUUGE flame indeed 😂😂😂😂
