If you ever wanted a ripping hard rock pedal this is it! It gets great early Van Halen type sounds all the way to full on metal tones. As an added bonus the Deluxe has a boost function as well to take you from thick amazing rhythm tone all the way full on sustaining lead tone! One of my favorite pedals of all time!!

I love that guitar. You're an awesome guitarist too.
Thanks! I love it too :)
Fantastic playing! Really enjoyed.
Great demo and have enjoyed some of your tutorials. I can tell you're having fun lol - what an awesome pedal (just ordered one).
You will love it! It sounds awesome! Thanks for checking them out!
Nice playing and tones, I use the Pinnacle Deluxe myself its a sweet rock'n pedal!!
Yeaaah! You are awesome Papa!
No you are!!
Nice tones and top quality riffs as usual.very inspiring.cheers
Thanks for watching!
Great demo! Have you gotten to try this side by side to the Pinnacle side of the Wampler Gearbox? Just want to know if you can get the same sounds in the gearbox as the v1 deluxe. I had the v2 deluxe Pinnacle and liked the Gearbox’s Pinnacle sound better. I heard v2 pinnacle used different parts than version 1 that changed the sound a bit.
Amazing as always, thank you so much for the great video. Your music been always an inspiration for me to continue practicing ..Rock on!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
That Free song would be a cool lesson!
Thank you Master Po, you are over whelming Grasshopper with your technique. I have much to learn, please be patient with me.
Hey Papastache, I stumbled across your videos watching some Tim Pierce stuff. When I heard that nasty descending lick you did at 3:41 it reminded me of Nuno Bettencourt. Nice playing.
Sweet! I love Nuno! One of my all time favorites!
Great video! Thanks for doing what u do. Your videos have and are teaching me so much! Rock on brother!😉🙌🙏👏☝☝🙋🙇🙇🙇🙇🙇
Sweet! Glad they are helping you out! Thanks for watching!
GREAT Video, Pedal and Playing. I like your style better than all the mechanical "Shredders" that came out after Yngwie!
Haha! Thanks!
Killer tone! Shot for the review! Keep em comin
You got some really good tone out of that pedal, your gear, and playing.
Thank you sir!
nice jam Bret !!
Thanks!
.38 Special was dead on!
Thanks!
Always fascinating !!!
Thanks for watching!
love your playing, love your teaching methods. please teach some more Hendrix riffs
I am going to soon. It takes a while to work up his tunes but I love it. I learn some new trick every time I do.
Hi. My name is Eduardo. I'm in Brazil. I own a pinnacle deluxe wampler. I need to know if the internal trimpot affects both channels. Boost and normal. Thank you
Sorry, but tone zone would sound way better in this application. Bolder sound with more character. But i understand why you replaced it with lollar. Mine TZ collects dust on a shelf and i use paf style humbacker for all applications. I often miss TZ, do you?:)
Great video papa!
Slanted humbucker in bridge-position: does it (besides from cosmetics) affect tone?
Not sure but for some reason I prefer it that way. Thanks for tuning in!
Nice demo! can I get some opinion from prof musician out there which is better 5150 mxr or pinnacle wampler in terms of versatility? Btw im using standard LP gibson. Thanks for the response in advance.
Can't go wrong with either of them. They both sound great!
Wow thanks for the quick response papastache! Maybe ill go for pinnacle for now. Expecting for more demo and tutorials from your channel. Thanks again!
Is there a type of tube that is better for distortion pedals? I have an Orange OR15 (EL84) and I cannot get it to sound half decent with a Bogner red or a Wampler plexi drive. It sounds so thin and lifeless (no matter how I eq the amp or the pedal)
El84 circuits can bit a bit more on the midrange side. Try a warm type overdrive or a good boost pedal if you like the sound of the amp but just want more distortion.
JAFO-PTY just my 2cents it took me awhile to find the right amp for the Bogners. It's a bit tricky. It sounds best with a Vox or an already crunchy amp and with the boost on. Sorry Brett for throwing my 2cents in.
your bridge pickup is dimarzio tone zone, isn't it? i saw on your gear video a long time ago
It was for a long time. I recently switched to a Lollar imperial low wind.
hi friend is it cool to use a Boss GE7 for the most average ??
Great pedal!! Secret weapon of all the Nashville session cats! Get the XTS modded one!!
I just got a plexi drive deluxe and clarksdale od . on the bold as love tutorial video you have what are you using to cop that amazing hendrix tone
The amp with a little break up and a divided by 13 lift pedal.
+papastache102 does divided by 13 make a plexi style amp?
+papastache102 I'm about to buy a handwired bandmaster 3x10 . I looked at two rock I looked at Morgan I looked at 3rd power. I just love the freaking tones you pull from your amp . what model is it ?
Sounds fuzzy. Even with that low wind Lollar you could hear the Pinnacles's input clippiing.
SSVplus my pinnacle does that too. I back off the gain a bit.
F***! Ace. Your tone makes me weep, and that stratish contraption is the coolest thing I ever saw.
Serious rig envy. Keep up the videos man.
Haha! Thanks for
Checking them out!
coool. I want to hire you to move next door to my mother in law and play with your amp cranked all day and night
Sounds like a good gig :)
Is the same place as Papa Stache?
This is my channel. The name changed to the Brett Papa channel a while back.
@@BrettPapa Looks like I am behind the times, LOL. Excellent videos by the way.
Could you tell me what the bridge pickup is?
Back then it was a Dimarzio Tone Zone.
@@BrettPapa Thank you for the information. Your guitar tone is sick!
@@BrettPapa In the video it says Lollar.
The Pinnacle is touted to be EVH's Brown Sound in a box and yet it cannot handle the output of Eddie's signature pickup, the EVH Frankenstein Pickup. The pedal clips and sags badly with the Duncan 78 pickup and Bare Knuckle VHII pickup as well. Wampler suggests lowering the pickup but that makes the guitar optimized just for that pedal. Ridiculous!
It can get very close to getting a sound close to that old EVH sound. It is almost impossible to do it exactly though. It was everything that went into recording those albums that made the sound. Studio boards, pre's, mic, compressors, amp, reverb, and most of all Eddie's hands. His early pickups were pretty low output as well. It all depends on what type of Eddie sound you are trying to get. His new sound with his current amp and pickups is very different to that old school sound which the Wampler pedal is shooting for.
Eddie's pickups were Vintage Hot not super low output. Between low and mid output. It still stands though that this is intended to be EVH in a box and it can't handle EVH's sig pickups. Hilarious.
@SSVplus, wow i am bummed to hear this because I use all kinds of pu's from Hotter PAF types like a Duncan 78 to the Custom wound dimarzios in the EBMM EVH sig guitars which are 17+K in the bridge.
I guess i wont be trying this pedal if a 9K duncan 78 has that affect on it.
And i agree you should not have to lower your p'u for a pedal that is ridiculous. Must be the input's sensitivity of the pedal or maybe you got a bad one?
All Pinnacles were like that and Wampler was spinning that as a feature and not as a bug that it really is and kept blaming hot pickups. There's a new Pinnacle Deluxe v2 that's just out that features a Sag button to address that issue many have complained about.
SSVplus there's a new one out for that issue? Great. I'm not buying any new gear. Broke from buying gear.
awww no man EVH is gonna be pissed . did u hear a few eddie licks in there
Haha!
Best distortion pedal ever
So good! I want to try the new one so bad.
@@BrettPapabut after 6 years you already have a plexi and you are eyeing the silver jubilee😂
