- Another amazing pedal from Wampler Pedals! The Pinnacle Deluxe distortion pedal is the new and improved version of the popular Pinnacle. Great tone shaping-options with 3-band EQ. Vintage gain and Modern gain -voicing on tap with the flip of a switch. Plus a boots/gain switch for more tones.
This pedal recorded like a dream!!
Clean channel of Friedman SS-100 into 4x12 cab loaded with V30's. Shure SM57 into Apollo interface. Thats it.
Delays added in post. Virtually no processing. just recorded and mixed down.
Guitars used were Knaggs Kenai, Knaggs Keya, and Knaggs Severn.

Quick question, I had the pinnacle before but returned it because it flubbed out on low notes, does the new sag control help with heavy pick attack and hot pickups? or is it still a little flubby?

I take it the delay is in the loop- is a wampler also?? I was looking at the strymon el capistan do you ever use this pedal??-- - that pinnacle rocks-!! - I have this same amp with fried 4 12 cab- and these pedals out front are all different ocd mxr etc- I even used the be 100 pedal in front and it sounded different-- it is amazing the sounds and tones you get out of all these different pedals on the ss clean setting-- That being said folks I use a 30 dollar soundtrack tubescreamer in front with strat single coil suhr neck pickup and got Hendrix sounds hey joe little wing-- but I will state this again this pinnacle may be the best I have heard yet------
Joe Jack delay was added in post. no delay in the loop. just straight into the amp.
You are a fantastic guitar player .Please put out a simple basic blues album with you doing what you do.It will do very well because you can't find this sound right now.Your just a handful of a few that have this sound figured out.

Doug, what is that pickup you use? You called it a Duncan 78 in one vid but there is no such pickup on the Duncan site.
