This is where the magic began for me, so to speak. I remember watching this video not long after it was posted and now I'm happy I got to see them live multiple times. It's crazy to think that they've just celebrated a decade of music together 🖤
I love this bands honest sound and emotion that punches through the language barrier. I made a point to catch three of their performances during Airwaves'14
I wish Kælan mikla had an album with this music on it. It's Raw, Powerful and full of Emotion with punk . Not saying the songs on the album released are bad. Just like the simplicity of the instruments. No guitar and no synth. Thank you for giving us this.
Surprised no-one has responded to you. The album "Manadans" is this stuff, kind of a demo album that they released after the first album. Its on iTunes. You might have to fact check what I've written; but, I have the album and it's good.
Rena, Thank you for the response. Yes at the time of my post iTunes did not have Manadans listed but since then I did find and get. Agree with you all the way what a great album I grab up everything I came from this band. Thanks again
I love this band. That raw sound, the passion....yes, there may be other more "technically" advanced bands, but they are getting better and better all the time, and I love the sound. PS The lead singer could be arrested for aggravated assault on a microphone any day now......if any microphone isn't too scared to press charges.
Saw them in London and they were incredible. Pure talent. I could compare but no need, strong influences from the best bands but unique and a joy to have them in 2022. Robert Smith would be proud! Oh yes, he is!!!!
Awesome bass and drums, I didn't understand a word of the vocals but I loved every syllable. Fantastic band, Great riffs, hypnotic drums, engaging vocals, and I love that High octave sound she goes into.
KM are by some margin the most exciting new(ish) band I have come across for years. had the enormous privilege of seeng them earlier this year, pre-lockdown, and they were fabulous. Sold their own merchandise and was able to speak to all three. They were all so graceful, friendly and, let's be honest, absolutely gorgeous - and it was a joy to spend a few moments with them. They need and deserve to be massive but I hope they keep their open and natural natures when it happens. Natural stars and so very talented
True! However such simplicity is compensated with large amounts of passion in their interpretation, creative assambleges between them and the unique atmosphere they create in their songs.
Being old enough, I detect the echoes of Enya throughout modern culture. This is a nicer example. The Feminine w/o a dictated pre-fab corporate image in tow, but instead a reference to a sensibility prior to the all-encompassing wisdom of modern Feminism. Yeah, the Pagan vibe is marketable, just no constructed, soft, lowest common denominator compression.

Looks to be a very young band. They keep the heart in it, like I see here, then the music will follow if they stick together. You must begin somewhere and I say this is a great start. The music flowed nicely and the emotion gave a nice punch in the chest. Good luck ladies
I just got a strong feeling in 1989 in Seattle there was some wise critic saying " you gotta dig through the dirt to get to the fucking golden nuggets. This is the dirt". ∆ why even say anything idiot
Sometimes bad things should be spoken... no matter what. I can't enjoy fully this music, but they definitelly have something to say and they got style... but there are some extremelly annoying parts that very few people can stand... including me. The music and performance will evolve I'm sure. Be back in a few years.
In Portland/Seattle they make bands without basses. In Iceland they make bands with ONLY basses. I think KEXP may be looking for a merger. This is international relations at its finest.
my friend emil showed me this band now I can’t contact him because he is isolating from world I don’t know where you are but please respond me I miss you so much
Last song, ends with such magic, so deep. I don´t know yet what the lyrics are about, but hearing both voices ending that song. I wish one day I could see them perform live. Best wishes from Argentina.
I really love their earlier sound that echoes of Post-Punk. Their more Emo-Pop sound feels like a step back in terms of the maturation of their sound. That's not to say that I don't love it all, but this performance shows a more rough-edged aesthetic and you can hear it in the bass and vocals.
its old icelandic poetry i think but im pretty sure they didnt write it they just made a new version with a new feeling of the poetry but for those who dont understand icelandic it dont really matter its the feeling of the music that allways matters the most i like it

AGREE, THE CHARM OF THIS BAND IS THE SIMPLICITY IN THEIR MUSIC, I LIKE...!

I have no idea what they're singing, but I dig it

Same here #hailsatan 😈😂
That's a good vocal representation of teenage angst....good old classic teenage angst! : - D
Is that scream symbolic of teenage angst or the scream of an Eagle or possibly....both!? : - O

Very raw yet awesome, the bass sound, the voices and simplistic composition is great.
I really dig what they're doing with just bass, drums and voice. Those who want more can go elsewhere.
To early OM perhaps haha.. also just drums, bass and voice :)
Agreed! 😊
need to bring back the drummer for live shows

i thought you were talking about the band haha
The bass really has that 'Joy Division' kind of vibe.
I agree, the bassist plays very melodically!
They're fans of Joy Division, The Cure, Portishead, and others. The influences are definitely clear.

Oh my this is great. What an excellent thing to stumble upon.
