My condolences to your step granddaughter and his family. Very sad. The cardigan looks lovely inspite of the difficulties with the colour. Well done.😊❤
Oh dear, Sheila, black knitting, fog and now a funeral! At least you have learned that you don't care for knitting in black, and you have discovered an improvement for the lovely rosebud pattern at those sizes! You'll soon be in the pink again! I'm knitting the lace border jacket in lilac and enjoying it. Take care. ❤
Hi Sheila, what a busy day! Two shopping hauls and a knitting video. Sorry to hear you have another funeral. Sorry for your losses. The black rosebud cardigan is lovely but you should charge extra for all the trouble. Did you send the rain over here? It is dark and raining on the east coast of America. Nasty, dark day. I'm working on a hat in charcoal aran yarn but it's too dark to knit that today. Take care 🇺🇲❤🇬🇧
Black cardi IS pretty ! I’m gettin like you Sheila. I knit scarves day and night like you knit sweaters. Condolences to your family , sheila. Are you far from Yorkshire ?? Have a safe trip . See you soon. Love Marilyn xx
I feel sorry for you Sheila. I'm the same with dark colours. Changing the subject, the phrase 'break or broke your duck' comes from cricket. If a Batsman gets out without scoring any runs they've made a 'duck' so by breaking a duck means you've been successful in your task. Hope that explains it
Do you know the poem by Sir Henry Newbolt? About Cricket? There's a breathless hush in the close tonight, an hour to play and the last man in... And it's not for the sake of a seasons game, but his Captains hand on his shoulders smote! Play up Play up, and Play the Game! ❤
Thanks I’ll change my pattern
So sorry for your loss Take care ❤

Can you recommend a very easy knitting pattern for a baby cardigan. 😊
Hi sheila, with black wool you need a miners helmet sheila,
You can buy buttons in Newcastle indoor market. Not sure if that's too far for you to travel.

@@DottyDolly-39 I've heard of it although I don't follow the game. My Dad and Brother were fans though
Could you sit with light behind you? I sit with the window behind me and it helps with navy and black.
