If they didn't work for you, then you can hold ctrl with left click mouse after you can see blue lines. Or you can use select click left mouse all parts. I am not sure if you already knew that.
Yea, like ItzBlueFloofYT said. You can press ctrl + L or command + L if you’re on Mac to turn on global movement without having to insert another part. Btw the tip where you insert a sphere into a cylinders location was really useful! I didn’t know that before.
Hey! For global moving(tip 4), you actually can press ctrl + L to change the movement from local to global! So rotated parts can be moved on the global axis :D
About the first tip, if you worked with a 0.1 increment instead of 0.02 which is stupid it would be much easier to do. About the arch, you could simply use resize align instead of spamming gapfill. To prevent the parts from clipping with each other you could simply make them properly and not put them inside each other.
1.i didn't mention any specific numbers because any good numbers could make it fit 2.it's ok you can use both methods , my method just gives smoothness with the curve 3. i mentioned 3 ways to eliminate z-fighting and that was one of them btw.... ( Check 6:18 )

More tips: use increments in halfs 1, .5, .25, .125 to make it easy to line stuff up. A way to line corners up perfectly on corners with simple math is clone the block, then move the block so the middle of the block is on the edge of the other block you want to rotate about, then turn your block and move it into place. Probably hard to understand but a video would make it clear. There is also plugins that do this easier, which works too
I find the easiest way to make a curve is by putting another part a long way away but parallel and using the rotate tool to build segments, and then gap fill them together
2:09 I just use archimedes. And if I needed to make the parts align if they're angled I use resize align by the same creator of gapfill. Good plugins can help make your life much much easier

2:37 you can also just copy the same block and move it up how much you want to than rotate it until you get a circle, glitching is not a problem, just make the block longer or thinner or give it a gap to fill with a plugin called gapfill
Glad to say as building alone for 6 or 7 off-and-on years, I basically discovered all of these myself. What I do to get a moldable sphere is adding a brick part, inserting a "special mesh" object into it, and then choosing "sphere" in it's properties. I haven't used mesh-packs since the old days of using C-frame in game, but maybe it'd be a good idea and would expand the tools for building new things. Someone pointed out that in studio you can press Ctrl+L to fix that local/global movement issue. But one thing that fex *actually* does have up on studio is resizing. Technically you can select a bunch of blocks and resize them all individually at the same time, as opposed to resizing them as a group (last I checked, I don't use fex.) But they'd all have to be aligned the same way, or the direction you want them to be resized. This could be considered a downside at certain times though
4:33 here is a quick way of doing this. first, right click the world to open a small tab, then you will see a bunch of options. You can click "local rotation" or "global rotation" to switch axis modes, which is near the bottom of the tab. (Sorry if I misspelled anything, I dont remember what it says and I also cant check because its currently 2:42AM.)
As a Roblox developer for four years in a row (mainly a scripter) I think that keeping stud increments EVEN should be a NEED. This can allow for much more well designed builds with a very little amount of unneeded/unnecessary lines. Try to keep increments as little as even factors of a stud or whole number sizes (if greater than 1). I know some may use no incrementing and just use by eyeballing it, though I think its more precise (especially when scripting positions and tweening, that it should be made with accuracy, not precision.

At 1:00 , Or, You can duplicate that cylinder and turn it into a ball. That makes a perfect one. At 2:53 , Or, You can also use the archimedes plugin to make perfect stuff like that.
btw, there’s also a plugin to make filling the spheres with cylinders much easier. it’s called “Pipes” and it creates a perfect cylinder between two selected spheres. it’s really just three clicks, and thats why i like it so much! i forgot the link tho, sorry.

Hi, so im building like a hot coco obby? idk just playing around but I made the hot coco mug with a cylinder that was flat, and another one that was smaller, put the smaller one inside the bigger one, made the bigger one negate, then unioned it right? Same method but made a door in the mug, but I cannot walk through the door I just created? I fixed it by turning off CanCollide, but now I can walk through the whole thing? How do I make it so I can walk through just one part of it not the whole thing?
Gonna edit this as I watch the video. Okay first tip: How about using the proper grid snap like 1,0.5,0.1,0.05 rather than 0.02... that is a much too small measurement when making most things that need to be precise. Second tip: just scroll down to the part size and resize it that way. If you want very accurate resizing you can do some VERY BASIC math. Third tip: There are some very helpful add-ons for this! One good one I believe was named Archimedes two? (I haven't worked in studio for a bit) Rest of the tips are fantastic!
Possibly just me, but at 1:48 there's a weld on the baseplate that's preventing it from resizing down. Unless you hold Ctrl or Alt to resize models, or you're using a union, this isn't going to happen and it would resize normally
4:50 to 5:12 == I mean that is a solution, but really, the simplest way is to just press Ctrl + L and it switches between global and local movement, at least that's how i do it, and it is really simple and not overly complicated.
These tips are great and very helpful! Although I discovered them before this video, I'm glad you're sharing it with others! One thing to take into consideration: on tip No. 5, the first method will automatically reverse the effects and cause clipping IF the player is in a low-graphics setting. That's my ONLY complaint about this video. Everything else I absolutely recommend using.
the meshes shown around 7-10 minutes arent the best since there is no bevels or sub division surfaces. a pro tip would be to look for meshes with these. If you don't understand what I am talking about search up bevels or sub division surfaces on youtube and you will understand. @Model Creator this also a good tip for you. Using this just makes all your work much better
I am new at Blender and looked it up . So I watched this and understand maybe why he didn't . ua-cam.com/video/UTuKBF2xMHo/v-deo.html So I imagine if we needed to bevel something or whatever we could do it ourselves . Also most use things are for Roblox and certain things you can't upload . I have a long way to go learning Blender , there's so much you can do with it .
im not advanced at building so i don't often use meshes but one time i was trying to get a hard hat to put on a character in my game, but the roblox search engine is terrible and i could only find top hats so i ended up equipping the builder's club hard hat on my character, going into server testing, copying the accessory from the model, then finally copying and pasting the meshid into a meshpart so i could resize it. although if you want to place a person in your game with hats on i would just recommend putting your roblox character into that outfit and then using test mode to copy and paste it entirely. (dont forget to rename the model so it doesn't have your username above its head)
It is important to clarify that if you want to make complex models or with many objects using these methods, it is very likely that the game where you use these models will not be compatible for mobile devices, laptops or desktop computers. If you want to improve performance, it is best to learn how to using blender, which also allows you to achieve shapes that are impossible to achieve in Roblox Studio effectively.
Yeah, Use Ctrl + L to change local to global. (Method Number 4)

Nice video in a slowly uprising dev working on a huge project for some people this is gonna help a bunch, Thanks!
(I haven't worked in studio for a bit)
Rest of the tips are fantastic!
Thanks mate, they really did help. I can't thank you enough.
wow learned a lot. Ive done everything you said not to do before and cant wait to use on my latest builds. thanks
Possibly just me, but at 1:48 there's a weld on the baseplate that's preventing it from resizing down. Unless you hold Ctrl or Alt to resize models, or you're using a union, this isn't going to happen and it would resize normally
3:32 did you duplicate it then thin it out?
2:48 resize align is also a great option, it saves you from lag.
WOW Thank so much for sharing learned so many new tips that will help out a lot since I'm still very new to the studio
4:00 actually there's a plugin called pipes that links spheres with perfectly sized cylinders easily
Psders C. I don’t that existed when this video released, but now we know, thanks for the heads up.
Loved the editing and background music
On method 3, use a plugin called archimedes, it is super easy to use and archs parts for you
I loved this video + the calming music :3
Thank you, I have been tryin' to become a successful builder and this will help a ton!
4:50 to 5:12 == I mean that is a solution, but really, the simplest way is to just press Ctrl + L and it switches between global and local movement, at least that's how i do it, and it is really simple and not overly complicated.
your skill getting pro after 1 year not see ur vid! Well Done Dude!
Your videos motivate me to try and build again, even if my abilities suck
These tips are great and very helpful! Although I discovered them before this video, I'm glad you're sharing it with others!
One thing to take into consideration: on tip No. 5, the first method will automatically reverse the effects and cause clipping IF the player is in a low-graphics setting. That's my ONLY complaint about this video. Everything else I absolutely recommend using.
then how would you prevent that in low graphics mode
@@zackdiane604 Union-ing the two pieces prevents the clipping in low graphics mode.
Nice, we love your hard work, thanks dude.
Thanks a lot dude ! Im a beginner Dev and this really helps me out :)
New sub !
the meshes shown around 7-10 minutes arent the best since there is no bevels or sub division surfaces. a pro tip would be to look for meshes with these.
There is a plugin for 2:24 that does it all automatically
im not advanced at building so i don't often use meshes but one time i was trying to get a hard hat to put on a character in my game, but the roblox search engine is terrible and i could only find top hats so i ended up equipping the builder's club hard hat on my character, going into server testing, copying the accessory from the model, then finally copying and pasting the meshid into a meshpart so i could resize it.
although if you want to place a person in your game with hats on i would just recommend putting your roblox character into that outfit and then using test mode to copy and paste it entirely. (dont forget to rename the model so it doesn't have your username above its head)
thanks you so much for not using super loud and annoying music with the same repetitive intro
for number 4 you can Ctrl + L to toggle the movement from global to local
when doing pipes you can also use archimedes and select "middle" and then use a ball to fill it in
thanks the invisible parts one helped because in my game i always see that other glass dissapear when i look through one
Great Video! These Tips & Tricks are gonna come in Handy!
VERY COOL PLUGINGS AND TRICKS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
5:09 It does not work, please help me . am i doing something wrong?
I like the calming music in the background
It is important to clarify that if you want to make complex models or with many objects using these methods, it is very likely that the game where you use these models will not be compatible for mobile devices, laptops or desktop computers. If you want to improve performance, it is best to learn how to using blender, which also allows you to achieve shapes that are impossible to achieve in Roblox Studio effectively.
