just coming across this and i had to say great job!
i've been struggling with VFX like this for years. many tutorials did steps 1-3 (like you said) but step 4 really makes a difference.
i also had to say, great job on the VIDEO part of the tutorial. at no point did it feel like too much was going on or not enough was going on. you did a great job at explaining it in a helpful and fun way.
once again, i cant thank you enough, this has really helped me and made a big difference in my games :)

I've watched dozens upon dozens of tutorials online, and I can say that yours is TOP NOTCH! Not only is it highly entertaining, it is also very easy-to-understand and informative. With other tutorials (especially being 20+ minutes long) I usually get bored because it is purely straight to the point and bland; whereas your tutorial has humor, relaxing music, sound effects, and amazing editing! I'd say that those 4 months didn't just pay off, it delivered exquisitely! Definitely one of my most favorite tutorials of all time.

One piece of advice I've learned from others is, when teaching you want to explain why you would do what you are teaching, and how to do it. This video does both perfectly while being a nice clean editing style. This video is so genuinely good and helpful, keep up the good work.

20:40 for the dev that are using roblox studio and not obby creator. use attachment instead
particle emitter can be placed inside attachment that are placed inside a part (i assume obby creator dont have one, no offense) to make it emit at that one spot and you can even relocate that attachment without moving the part itself allowing for multiple type of particle in 1 part (like 21:12 using multiple part where in roblox studio you can place multiple particle emitter in a attachment OR in the part itself depending on how you want it)

    Another rain thing:
Still do the main part but colored 133,156,255 instead
Put a part and use particle effect(this is for splashes)
Make it colored 133,156,255 and set light emission and light influence to 1
    Orientation:velocity perpendicular
    Size
    Time. Value
    0. 0
    0.5. 0.25
    1. 0.37
    Squash
    Time. Value
    0. 0
    1. 0
    Texture:838367768
    Transparency
    Time. Value
    0. 1
    0.5. 0.5
    1. 1
    Lifetime:0.25,0.5
    Rate 60
    Rotation:-180,180
    Rotation speed:-5,5
    Speed:3
Then copy the part and change orientation to camera
    Change size to:
    Time. Value
    0. 0
    1. 1
    Change squash to:
    Time. Value
    0. 0
    1. 0
    Change texture to:241576804
    Change transparency to:
    Time. Value
    0. 1
    0.1. 0
    0.55. 0.75
    1. 1
    Change life to:0.25,0.5
And there,it's a much more realistic splash for the rain

oh wow, the way you written the message is really organized
i do not understand how people have the ability to write advanced stuff like this lol, its just insane.
anyways, i will try out the particle once im on my computer. will follow up with another update soon

      it looks cool!!
this rain can probably be for cinematic maps where the rain is blue, and also i like the secondary splashes (the circular shockwave particle). but i think its better if the speed is set to 0.01 and acceleration to 0,0,0 for the circular shockwave particle. so that it wont go up and will act much more like water ripples (or maybe you forgot to include that in the comment xd)
