Hello Philip, yes it’s very satisfying to be at this point and I’m glad to be here. I’m really looking forward to completing the chassis and then starting bodywork. I’m excited. My nephew. Races NASA here in the states. He also a great mechanic. He has a professional four wheel alignment set. I’m sure he’d be happy to help me line the four corners.👍 It’s always great to hear from you. I enjoy our chatting. I appreciate your support and knowledge. Thanks Buddy. You have great eyes to have noticed the strut braces. Lol I believe we have similar ideas due to our age. I also enjoy the stance. I want it to look as if it’s about to jump off the starting line. 👍
Thanks TRixedOut, I'm happy with the way they turned out. can't wait to get the chassis completed an get to the body work. good luck with your firewall.
Hello Louis, That's what I'm hoping for a solid car that I can drive anywhere. Can't wait to get putting them parts on the chassis. its going to be fun.
I believe I got everything, most were gift cards from jbugs and top line. I got their pro lowering kit. It comes with all front end parts. The discs I had for months. All this stuff will help me make my dead- line. July 12th. Feels great moving forward.
Hey Dave you're my new Best Friend. I'm going to need the free Ralph treatment. Lol. I'm in Ontario Canada, I hope you don't mind working outside in the driveway and the snow!
Very satisfying getting to that point Dave, really pleased for you. Yes that uprated front sway bar is a game changer being stiff. I see you have a strut brace also so that will add to the handling, but I’m guessing, like me, it’s more about how it looks at our age. I run Kerscher coil overs on one of mine, which you need a mortgage for nowadays, overkill really, but it gives me the ability to run 7” wide wheels upfront under stock wings if I want. I don’t, I have four sets of wheels, but generally run genuine Sprints or Porsche Mahle’s with the front lowered only. I like that aggressive stance on that one, the other is stock height. When you’re up and running, find yourself a good local garage with someone in it whos our age, someone who knows how to set it up, it’ll need it. But they need to know suspension as nothing will be stock so they need to have the ability to four wheel align otherwise it’ll drive badly. Believe me I tried two local ‘experts’ who I ended up telling them how to do it, arguing with one, because they’re just fitters nowadays. Trust me old school mechanic or a VW specialist who knows Supers will pay you dividends my friend👍🏼
Hello Buddy, I’m thrilled to be at this point. I’ve done a bunch of research on top lines pro lowering kit. Definitely sounds like a great option. It all works together. I also like an aggressive look. I want it to look like it’s ready to jump of the line. I can picture the finished product but can’t wait to get there. My nephew and his dad are certified NASA racecar drivers. My nephew is an excellent mechanic and has a pro set of alignment equipment and I believe when I get to that point he will help me get all four corners perfectly where they belong. I’m getting excited, things are moving along nicely. Thank you and others for your great support and ideas.

Hi Dave what a great idea to use that pipe it looks great and strong
Learned the exhaust pipe trick from Bad Chad and Queen Jolene. they use a lot of square tubing also. The pipe looks good and is strong.
