- Meet Jake, aka @rainbowjungl, a reptile and houseplant enthusiast based in Halifax N.S. Jake has been collecting plants since he was a teenager, acquiring an impressive array of rare and exotic aroids in the process.
In this episode of Houseplanted, Jake gives us a tour of his jaw-dropping collection of philodendrons, alocasias and anthuriums, which also coexist alongside his family of reptiles, fish and a curious cat. He also shares some insights on tissue culture, and how it’s changing the game for many houseplant collectors.

Do you got a list of "Geniuses in Science"?
i prefer keeping 1 snake in a large terrarium over collecting animals.a python is not a stone. minimal terrarium size is when the animal is able to fully strech. . . you needt a "cool"zone, a "hot" zone, a pool, some hides (they live in rat holes in ghana). . mine is over 3m in lenght, an "enclosure" does have prison cell character imho. . but thats just me. . .
Wow more waste of tax payer money.
