I'm glad that I'm not the only one that gets a little startled by those pressurized cans! LOL! I hate opening them! I gotta try this! It looks absolutely delicious! Aloha!
Thanks very much for this recipe! Made this for tonight's dinner, and it was excellent! Didn't have the refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough tubes (too expensive here), so made mine from scratch. Also, didn't have Italian dressing or the mix, so again, made the mix from scratch. All a bit time consuming because of this, but it was so worth it!
this looks sooo good.. my boyfriend and I are a big fan of garlic bread with bacon.. I think this is going to be our new favourite!! cant wait to try it!!
Right now I'm drooling over that lovely knife! :) Oh how fun! Those would be lovely for a brunch with an egg casserole or omelets too. I can see why they went so well with the chili - great combo.
i like the idea of using the oiled salad dressing - 2 for 1 yea - and just for your information - you are using an angle food cake pan - a bundt pan does not come apart and usually has a decorative design - just thought you'd like to know - going to be trying this recipe this weekend - easy for Sunday morning breakfast before going to church - thank you for posting =)
Yum, yum, yum! You always pick the most interesting & fun things to try. I'll be making this tomorrow as well! I'll let you know how it was, but if it looks as good as yours then it'll be awesome!
I am also a vegetarian. I am making my husband the bacon bread. For myself I thought I could do apples an raisins, or any fruit combo. Or cheese and chives. You may have to alter the dressing though. Like with cheese and chives you could use ranch. With the fruit I am just going to add olive oil so it does not dry out to bad.
That looks really yummy! It's going on my must-try list. I know what you mean about the refrigerated doughs. I had one pop in the fridge on me - I heard a huge (but muffled) BANG. Scared the bewillikers out of me! They are like holding a lit firecracker. But I still love 'em!
First time I tried to open one of those, I used a can opener. Do not use a can opener. It didn't stop expanding & oozing out of that little cut in the can...
Looks yummo. I wonder if we could roll the dough pieces in bacon grease first? Like on some of the pull apart breads you roll it in butter. I will have to give this a go. I love BACON. Thanks for sharing.
Ok so this is the most amazing most awesome thing In the entire world I would trade a limb for this it is so good I've made it 8 times now lol it's worth it !!!
@PTuinman I think you would be better off making some buttermilk biscuit dough from scratch or using some pizza dough in this. The croissant dough might be too greasy.
I made this today, swapping out the Italian dressing for melted butter: it was soooooo good! My stomach and my family's stomach thank you, yoyomax12 =)
those tubes of dough freak me out too when they pop open. orion gets a kick out of me jumping like a goof when they sneak open, lol. woohoo i am so gonna make this today. i have no scarey dough but never fear! mama got a kitchenaid mixer & is not afraid to use it, so i shall make my own dough xoexo
I owen a silicone bund cake pan & it works grate.VERY easy to clean & the good thing about it is you can flip it inside out. It would be good investment for you.
Wow! This looks like a win with a capital "W", Tammy! And yes. like you suggest, perfect to go with a good chili or a hearty soup. I've gotta try it. No bundt pans here, but I think I have enough assorted baking dishes to wing it. LOL And someone actually asks if you can skip the bacon? In a recipe titled "pull apart bacon bread"? Well sure. You can also skip the cheese and the biscuits and just have a few slices of stale melba toast, if that suits you better... :-P
here in the States we call them tube pan or fluted pan you make angel food cake in them a a bundt pan has a much wider hole when using a tube pan as the recipe is cooling we invert them
I make my kids open the biscuit containers lol scare them too but its fun to watch i no evil mom lol everytime I open them I drop them when they pop lol
when you say Biscuits is that what i would call scones? Because in New Zealand Biscuits are cookies lol i wish if different countries were going to use different words they would just make up new ones instead of recycling old ones.. Looks yummy
This bread is so rediculously good, I have had to point at least 20 people to this video for the recipe :) Although I had to substitue some ingredients for others because - for example, we don't have that butterscotch dough over here - it still is one of the best things I have ever tasted. I wonder if there is much difference between the two versions :)
I'm glad that I'm not the only one that gets a little startled by those pressurized cans! LOL! I hate opening them! I gotta try this! It looks absolutely delicious! Aloha!
slicing the dough so it pulls apart after it bakes...... GENIUS!!
I loved to hear that those tubes also make you nervous. The stuff is so handy but I hate opening them. It startles me every time.

I am also a vegetarian. I am making my husband the bacon bread. For myself I thought I could do apples an raisins, or any fruit combo. Or cheese and chives. You may have to alter the dressing though. First time I tried to open one of those, I used a can opener. Do not use a can opener. It didn't stop expanding & oozing out of that little cut in the can...

That looks goods but I wonder if you could replace the Italian Dressing with something else?
This bread is so rediculously good, I have had to point at least 20 people to this video for the recipe :) Although I had to substitue some ingredients for others because - for example, we don't have that butterscotch dough over here - it still is one of the best things I have ever tasted.
