IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER
A Star Destroyer was a dagger-shaped type of capital ship that were used by the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire, the First Order, and the Sith Eternal. Star Destroyers were the most resource-intensive ships the galaxy had ever seen, and only Kuat possessed shipyards that were capable of supporting and maintaining more than a handful at a time.
During the rebellion and the Galactic Civil War, Imperial Star Destroyers took part in numerous engagements against the various rebel forces that eventually coalesced into the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

now I know what Vader and Thrawn felt, this is just so relaxing. If I was an Imperial officer having my own flagship, I would spend most of the time on the bridge and I would be slightly pissed if someone interrupted my quiet just for reports
It is easy to slip into a relaxed mental state as you just watch the stars go by, listening to the ambient sounds of your bridge crew working at their stations, hearing the hums of computers, and the soft hisses of recycled oxygen, among others.

If you a senior officer on the bridge, you'll be busy with all those checks, records, protocols, reports, intermediations with other officers from your ship, and other ships.
You'll pray for free time to think and plan. That's why there are different positions for the captain of the ship and the admiral.

The B1 droids are so funny. I felt sorry for them whenever General Grevious smashed one for saying something he didn’t like.
This is the closest one to a star killer base that I’ve found and I love it!

I stumbled across this in my search for the ambient sounds they used in the Thrawn: Ascendency books as I wanted something to write too, now I get to imagine just how peaceful it would be to sit there on the night shift. Skeleton crew, low power and lights, no hustle and bustle of day crew. Just pure blissful peacefulness.
This is exactly how I found this too! I would kill for the backgrounds from those audiobooks!
Be it a Venator, Victory , imperial I or Imperial II this is such inmersive to imagine be in the bridge looking out the galaxy, maybe even see star fighters fly by doing a routine patrol, to a surprise engagement, i still think even to this day that had disney used a in universe decomissioned star destroyer refurbished as a museum and hotel at a fraction of the cost this likely be one of the most sought after with guests having the proper clothing to inmerse in the bridge, go the hangars and experience fighter simulator, or maybe even have some target practoce with troopers or training droids and be given a small rank plaque as a souvenir given as their overall imperial grading in all the tasks
So glad I've found my people who also love listening to this stuff!
POV, you use this sound to go to sleep to, and just as your drifting into REM, you feel a tap on your shoulder. looking up, you see sunken cheeked, Grand Admiral Tarkin nudging you with his boot. you realize that youve somehow been transported to the Star Wars universe. Tarkin sighs and goes on about how soldiers cant be caught sleeping on the job, its bad for business, and to take a break if you need. you realize your lucky it was Tarkin and not Vader or your commander. after getting back to your quarters to rest a bit, you are suddenly awaken by a shrill ringing, jolting up you realize it was your Alarm clock. you look around, the small quarters you were just in are fading back to your own room. it was just a dream apparently.
The thing is though, Garmin would not stand that either

Having stayed on the Galactic Starcruiser, i must say it was the best experience of my life. Hands down. Period. Im already planning a return trip.

This is near perfection for spaceship ambience! Of all the ambience videos I've listened to, this has the best balance between the calming, repetitive drone of routine activity, and the interjection of out-of-the-ordinary disruptive activity (hyperspace jumps, radio chatter, red-alert, troopers walking by, computers beeping). So many other ambience videos have too much of the disruptive activity going on, like constant radio chatter that never ceases, or computers beeping non-stop.

I'm considering doing that for this one and the Coruscant Skyline ambiences. Though, I wouldn't want to just loop it 5 times, so I'll probably add to them (other destinations for the ISD, maybe a sunrise for Coruscant).

Wow this was great if you are thinking of making another one which i pray you are could u please add Tie fighters patrolling around the ship etc and after lightspeed maybe have the ship rendezvous with a fleet with other ties around etc i think it would be brilliant bur other than that thanks!!!!!

These sounds have also been used in Alien. The computer processing and beeps, with the high ends taken way down. 😊
Of all the computer processing sounds I've heard, the ones in Alien were my absolute favorite, and they worked really well with the rest of the sounds I used. Good ear!
Would be even better with Vader's breathing sounds in the background.
