I've already had my Tesla Cannon maxed, with Bloodied/Explosive, and it can one shot most of the bots, as well as taking out the generators in 2 or 3 shots. It's easily the best weapon for taking them out.
Just have two folks on A and B destroying the generator. C doesn’t repair itself for now it’s bugged but have two on those generators two with auto axe build fighting sigma squad and you’ll get it done in 3 mins
The Direct Current Muzzle also lowers *your* damage resistance when you're in range of the explosion, which is pretty much all the time with max grenadier. Combined with the fact that it does nothing to improve the tesla damage, the stock muzzle is a better choice for general use-case.
Regarding 4 star mods, what I gathered so far for damage mods: Pin-pointer works on limbs and the head (despite description suggesting it only works on arms/legs) - It gives you 50% damage modifer for your overall damage, so it's kinda the best one for all enemies excluding a few where torso - is a weak spot (Deathclaws for example) . Pyro/Viper mod works as intended also giving you 50% more damage and I think it also works as a modifier Polished - Give you 60% of additive damage and doesn't work on weapons with 200% durability (thanks for clearing this out turtle, I was confused why it did nothing while testing it). Bully's is a wierd one - first of all, if your weapon have explosive effect it's straight up doesn't work, maybe you'll get a proc on bigger enemies once every 4 shot or so. For non explosive weapons it does work, but it applies a 50% damage for the shot after you shoot a weak point. So if for example, you shoot enemy head then torso, you gonna get 50% damage to the torso, and if you shoot torso then head, you won't get any damage multiplication. Also I think it dose work in VATS despite stating otherwise.

Thats why I think it only should work on legs and arms, beside working this way, it just makes bullys pointless (even if it was working as intended). Why would you use 50%+ damage only to the weak spot without Vats, when you can use 50% just more damage to everything except torso? Dealing increased damage while targeting arms and legs is still really useful, you basically can shoot anywhere (except torso) and get similar damage as a headshot.
looks like a medics explosive would be pretty handy for events like Rad Rumble and test your metal, it should tag everything and with no effort passively heal the NPC'S. thoughts?
Turtle I just got this yesterday and I immediately of course went to the bench and made one and put the Tesla model on and I was not expected for heavy guns. I was in power armor and I did have stabilizer because I was using launcher weapons, but I was getting Upwards of 250 to 500 damage which by the way something I noticed is that you get more damage if you directly aim at target and use it like a sniper rifle, but I was able to get up to around 800 damage with Chris when using it in bats And I had no heavy gum for card time. The weapon does fine and I won hundred percent guarantee that if you have an armor on the weapon and an armor with stabilize, you are in reducing all damage resistances DRERRR cry, fire and poison. They’re all being reduced by 75% if you have an anti-arm weapon and you’re using stabilized which means you will in fact get more damage with armor than you would without no anti-arms never been and it still isn’t a damage boost it’s not it’s a deep off on the target so your mileage will vary depending on what kind of target you’re shooting if the target has little to no resist or gaining very little that’s the way it’s been since the dawn of time is a target doesn’t have much in the way of the resist that you are attacking if your weapon is all ballistic for instant well in this case, I believe it’s all energy if your weapon is all energy and the target has very little energy resist then you aren’t getting shit out of it but when you go to a target that does have energy resist you’re going to get much more mileage out of armor so it works that way for every weapon by the way, if your weapon is all ballistic, then an armor is obviously gonna be more readily useful because things are more likely to have damage resist than anything else, but bigger critters, like the scorch beast and the super mutants in the center and the Myler Queens all of them are going to have resist. I haven’t look lately to see what they look like because I know they’ve been settling with stuff in the background and not telling us I mean that’s were turned off for like three weeks and now they works perfect I mean they’re working amazingly nice strangler heart armor with a grenade launcher again is able to drop a grenade into a crowd in the ones that don’t die poison and they end up dying from the poison dot the way it should be the explosion spreads the poison to all of them and they’ll just die, but they weren’t working for like three weeks and none of you mentioned it but it’s true they were not anti-armor is always good because while you can’t mean you can’t cover every angle you just can’t there’s no weapons in the game that let you cover every angle unless you want to be switching weapons based on you know into the knowledge of what the resistor of your target do you just want to pick a weapon and use it you can’t go wrong ever with that armor because to be fair on the target, so don’t have armor it doesn’t really matter what your legendary effect is on your first start and for the target that do have armor they almost certainly are gonna have a good collection of DRER and then one or more of the elemental damages and usually those targets are very high radiation resist or immuneso 100% anti-armor is a good choice always and by the way explosion is too
Turtle, I noticed with my 3-star Anti-Armor Prime Enclave Plasma Flamer with durability as 3rd star that after the GD update that my weapon durability has gone through the roof. I suspect that some bug or other was intoduced with the update, although I do not know for sure. Cheers!
They changed a lot of stuff, and I also think that they are making changes to the production servers on the fly things that can happen in the background without a patch as a for instance, for like at least weeks that were not happening then all of a sudden a couple days ago that started happening again I’ve been messing with poison dots fire. Dot dot none of them were happening all of a sudden if I go and I use a bleed fire chainsaw in my strangler heart armor. I get three dots on a scavenger that just destroy it. I mean the life is just draining away. They’re not all the same way summer three second summer five seconds so you can see you know when one stops and it slows down and when the last time you know what I mean, but for at least a few weeks, there were no dabs happening That came in without attached to my knowledge. There was no change for the client so the service side thing I kind of wonder if it doesn’t relate to some kind of act like that was happening with the same chainsaw set up I’m talking about. I watched a video of a guy running around again. Radiation rumble Just didn’t discriminate killing everybody with a long gold bar chain chainsaw with the flame mod on it he won power armor, though he just was running around killing everybody. I have a feeling the bleed was somehow getting through flat damage. Remember, we used to be able to do some funky shit with weed while it was back up on people when they weren’t addressed towards you and then they would attack you and instantly take a check of 250 weed in any case I saw that video and then shortly after I realized my poison dots weren’t happening from Sprangler heart so I started testing and nothing was working not a framer chainsaw not a framer auto wax Waldorf cocktails weren’t doing it nothing I couldn’t get that on anything and I’ll from working fine to see a little triangle for each diet. That’s on the critter and with my auto wax I mean with my chain so I put three dots at the shortest being the bleed for like Three seconds I think and then the other drawer like five seconds each and you can definitely see the life just reaching away. Also, my grenade launcher from my strangler. I can shoot into multiple critter even just target the ground granite spread the explosion and the poison goes with it, and they did that all without any announcement of my knowledge, and now the shredder is not being bothered by spring doesn’t matter what your strength is you do the same damage from one strength to third strength you can take all the ball you want it doesn’t change shit however to the accelerator barrel will gain you maximum amount of strength for me. It was like 12.0 Frank I mean 12 points of damage run the other barrel change shit and the weapon seems to have the same time to kill it had when I was doing you know 140 150 damage for attack so it’s like they ramped up the attack rate remove strength maybe they removed whatever was making strength for work so the only thing right this minute are twisted muscle, the basher guard and bashing on the weapon. None of the other barrel do anything special just the accelerated barrel which doesn’t make sense you think if it’s turning faster, it would do less damage the ones that turn slower should do more damage you know for balance so you don’t end up with one that is the only mod to get you, but I think they’re fiddling with it in the background without saying anything and I think they do that with a lot of stuff that’s new development company that’s handling this game. I think they fiddle around with stuff and that’s it right on the live server.
The only reason ill even use this is for radiation rumble bloodied holy fire with pyromaniac's and gatling plasma with new mods is all im really needing atm
Question: How does the Two Shot behaves with it? Does it act like granade/ missile launchers doubling the damage or does it act like on all other weapons giving just quarter of a base?
Idk the exact breakdown of how it boosts, but I'm full health and using two shot on both versions. I tested the ac muzzle with aa and ts and ts does more damage.
Mine is AA/E/25/Encircler’s. Really powerful on events and fun to shoot in vats. Just make sure you’re not shooting it point blank. Dur+polished is an interesting choice, but bloodied will only work if you avoid vats completely.
And also hint something I haven’t thought of. I wasn’t playing for a while so I don’t know if they fix self damage issues with the cremator but personally, I think the cremator is probably a better more efficient weapon than this, but I’m wondering now that the dots are fixed freely when I’m using a cremator and power right at myself on fire all the time because I don’t I fire willy-nilly at whatever the target is so close they are at the ground wherever just to set stuff on fire, but I used to have to jump out of my power armor with the chest piece on my regular armor to keep from killing myself with the burn out from the cremator I’m wondering now that dots are fixed. If I can even use the cremator in my power armor again without you know, put it on sizzling style, which I’m not gonna do because I like special for cards so I can have more regular cards on my bill so this may in fact become my main heavy weapon for just every day use at least for vent padding instead of the cremator cause there it goes I mean, I don’t really worry too much about event tagging because I’m in strangler heart I tag everything in a Like a 50 foot diameter around me. I get to load every body in there as long as I’m in the center of the room, I’m pretty much tag and everything that died, but if I shoot a cremator in each direction ever so often that’s also tagging in any case I usually run or Trying to rank up the event, but I really do like this gun the fact that you don’t have to be pinpoint accurate when you aim the fact that you’ve been just prior to ceiling and walls like a Tesla the fact that when you do use that and it does massive damage, I mean without have gone per cards I was seeing numbers in the eight 900 range I mean, obviously I also had adrenaline Frank up probably at that point, but I only have well yeah I have like three points in adrenaline because I didn’t have anything else to put in agility so I just popped off adrenaline as high as it would go so it was probably a 48% damaging increase from adrenaline but still it was one shotting anything with a credit and sometimes one chatting without it a good weapon that is a main juice like a rifle like a rifleman gun only I have a gun. It’s a good gun. They did something right and it’ll get a nerve in about two months
Seems like a good substitute for Plas Cas now come with chaining hits from nearby enemies variants, could be amazing for repair bots and daily use. Just not sure how it would feel to make a B/FFR/25lvc with highest fire rate possible tho, since this weapon take like 1/3 of the screen
Honestly, if we live simply given up fine weapon durability issues I use a lot of auto Malay and I use the shredder. The shredder didn’t have any issues, but the shredder is currently nursed. It’s not two things about the shredder right this moment at least yesterday it’s not being both bite strength at all you can be at one strength for 30 strength. You’ll do the same damage in my configuration with my car car with 1 02 damage with a prime barrel the other thing about it is the accelerated barrel at like 14 damage. It never used to it never used to do anything no matter what barrel you put on, but the shredder seems to have the same time to kill it always had, but with much less damage because of no strength, boss, and that one barrel the accelerator barrel is now puffing the strength. I’m not sure if they’re filling with it. I’ve noticed that they’ve been doing some under the cover work on the production servers like they turned off that all dots were not working for like three weeks you maybe got one what appeared to be like one die after you fired a weapon with that or use the web with that, but if you had five seconds of that damage, it was not happening well if they turned it back on with a engine that’s happening really well now your poison something with an auto with poison on it you can see their fire just disappearing Like 600 poison damage over five seconds same thing if you shoot a auto grenade launcher into a crowd, the explosion will spread poison on everything and you’ll see it. You weren’t just last week. They’re doing stuff making changes. They’re not telling us they’re doing it and then they’re changing it again or changing it back or fixing it or Whatever And right now it’s the shredder. The shredder is not bossed by strength at the moment. It is still bossed by twisted my soul. It’s still bossed by the bashing card and the bashing legendary effect but it’s basically a fixed number. Whatever damage you do you’ll do it no matter how you boss yourself Actually that’s another thing. It seems like that somewhere in that equation, even though when you point the weapon something with awareness, you’ll see your anti armor, but it seems like it’s not working either one or both whether the weapons and armor or stabilized armor one both of them doesn’t seem to be working because you’ll get 102 damage on at target but then when you go out and start killing critters, but have very little armor to begin with you’ll get less damage so you’re not illuminating their armor. It seems like something‘s going on anyway I stopped using it The disturbing part and maybe the best part is that it seems like they’re fucking with the barrels. maybe they’re finally gonna make the shredder do have gun damage right instead of being based on me shit which it should never have been based on. Maybe they’re finally gonna make it be based on heavy gun stuff Which by the way, I tried it with having gun birth art that’s not in Christian to damage but I’ve also heavily touched this gun over and over again and barrels never used to matter. They didn’t change the time to kill so no change and attack rate and the damage was identical whichever barrel you put on But right now accelerator barrel is adding 12 damage for me on the paper target in my camp and it’s adding damage when I’m out killing stuff just not as much somehow it’s the damage is like muted even on target with little to no resistances. They still seem to be taking less damage than that paper target Whereas the auto X they work fine on that one and quit Bentley it just became available in a bundle in the store again for like 700 Adams so if you haven’t bought that auto wax there buffing the shit out of it then Ning it back down but still more powerful Than the chainsaw so go get you an auto wax before they decide to nerve it back down to where it equals the chainsaw cause the chainsaw is useless right now in any configuration although I was having fun when the dad came back I was having fun with a chainsaw with a long bow bar for bleed with a flame or mod for flame in my strangler heart for poison so I was putting a poison flame and bleed that at target But it doesn’t matter right that are not that important than most critters. They still die really quickly but you could literally see the difference and the time to kill with a chainsaw versus autoracks or even a shredder as a shredder seems like now it’s time to kill just as fast as an auto wax. It just looks like it’s doing way less damage. It should be doing when fully fast like near 200 180 90 damage without buffing at all, it should be doing about 140 damage but it’s doing like 47 or 70 damage depending on what you’re hittingbut then again like I said still seems like everything dies when you touch it so I don’t know what they got going on with that. I just put it aside till they get finished.
@@AngryTurtle not sure if this works with keyboard, but on controller,, fire the weapon and then immediately press the aim trigger to fire a 2nd shot. this works on multiple weapons, and will also give a free shot after the last shot from a mag. Quick question: Does the Demolitionist perk ONLY provide extra damage if the shockwave barrel is attached, or does it also apply to the chain lightning barrel? My friend runs a heavy gunner/demo build so we'd like to know which one would be best for him.
Yes. My damage numbers go up on my V/E tesla with standard barrel when I equip Demolition expert. They do NOT change for my AA/FF tesla with Alternate Current ("lightning") barrel, so Demo Expert does nothing for Alt Current weapons. You want Grenadier for both though.
I should add, Demolition Expert also helps my Instigating/AIM tesla with standard barrel, so it doesn't have to be explosive second star for demo expert to work.

Another thing you said all of the four stars are powerful. They’re all situational but they’re all powerful pretty much. I mean there’s only a couple that seem to not have much of a juice cake, but they’re all almost all powerful in their own right for instance, put it on an auto wax that has poison, poison, and electricity have the same well they all have the same ballistic damage whether you modeled them or not, but the poison damage and the electric damage are identical unless you put the science cards on then the electric damage gets better but the poison gets a gigantic poison that I mean I’ve had it up to 620 something 626 or something and put Viper on auto if it can be done. I mean I’ll have the viper mod so I can’t test it but if you could put viper on an auto wax with poison or put it on an auto ax with electricity in strangler heart, you will always be doing that extra 50% damage always and Unless there’s a cool down that they haven’t mentioned same thing goes with the other one pyromaniac with the one that affects fire almost every mod is situationally very very good on something and the first pinpoint goes on a weapon that creates an electric discharge that just randomly hits parts of anything close to it obviouslyI mean that’s an OB brain
I use a two shot, with the alternating current muzzle, and it tags everything! I was wondering about the explosive effect, but this video tells me, YES! I'm also going to use electric absorption, with my assassin's PA, to see if that keeps me alive, LOL!
One thing I found is that I think this update in general bugged the 3rd star +50 Durability, installed it on both my holy fire and Gatling Plasma, and after using both for literally 60 hours since the update dropped not one of them lowered a single percentage, they are still capped out at the 200% durability from both bars being full.

great vid, made me redesign my tesla, also great tip about polished. Thankfully i picked up 3 pinpointers so far. How is yoru dmg so high on them though, i have an AA chain tesla with pinpoints, exactly the same as you, but it only shows 224 dmg, where as yorus shows 932...
I like using dc muzzle version in vats, ac, manual aiming. Full health, I've found two shot does more damage than aa for both versions. Using aim damage for ac muzzle since explosive won't work and faster fire rate barely adds anything to it. ac muzzle could definitely be good in vats too, i just prefer to not use vats if i don't have to. But i find dc a bit hard to hit accurately with manual aiming for some reason. Maybe because of the sights.
I'm loving this new weapon! I wasn't sure about the explosive effect, but now, I'm definitely going to use it on my two shot! It's already a tag beast, but with the explosive effect, I'll be tagging everything, LOL!
That’s why I like the gun, but I still other than using it for the Walter piercing explosion. I still kind of think there are better guns for that but cremator as I have a configured on heavy gun belt with two points in each heavy gun card and demo expert in grenadier. I’m doing well what if I didn’t have grounded? I’d be doing about 450 damage on just a straight hit and then bought another 500 die damage and if adrenaline pump it up, you know obviously even higher, and I still think you know if you change to the high damage that weapon still going to be better for tagging and mob, you know, elimination, even respect for heavy gun. It’s still going to do better unless unless you’re using it for the explosive factor wall, but that everybody’s got an explosive mod box flying around and most people haven’t gotten past the alternating current mod in all they just got the weapon so either way they’re both considered. Don’t ask me why the cremator is 100% of fire weapon, but it’s affected by grounded it seriously affect that because I mean the amount of single target damage is fairly high on that weapon at base so grounded 13% you know take more. Both weapons are affected by grounded so if you have grounded on either one is going to suffer, ironically the pepper shaker, which does with the plasma cartridge does plasma energy damage am ballistic damage is not affected by grounded When you when you examine a weapon down at the bottom, I think those are the keywords that you’re gonna find if you date mine a weapon and the temper shake or even though it has an energy mark on the tool dip with plasma, it doesn’t have the word energy in those keywords Not entirely sure, but I think that that is a solid indicator of whether or not grounded is or is not affecting your weapon. I haven’t checked a lot of weapons but pepper shakers is not affected by grounded even with plasma cartridge or you know if you mind it for one of the two energy cartridges. It’s still not effective with plasma. I didn’t check it with the Cell. It’s possible it is affected with cell. I don’t know and it’s a good thing. It’s not effective because grounded is still bugged and it’s not just taking 13% of the energy damage it’s taking if you have shared energy on ballistic it’s taking 13 of both. The Gattlin plasma is losing 26% Electric auto wax is losing 26% electric if you have grounded run poison or fire either of those take a penalty although I’d run fire is the flame is fucked right now. The damage is so much lower on the flight on the chainsaw and the auto X I don’t understand, but has the same that. But much less damage and muscle much less immediate flame damage.
Genuinely curious why AA for the Tesla version and not also bloody? And would 2shot not also be a good choice since both Tesla shots could ricochet onto the same target this essentials doubling damage?
Turtle, does Anti-armor not work properly on explosive weapons? Not referring to things with an explosive prefix, such as an explosive combat rifle. Specifically, does AA not work on this weapon, Hellstorm ML, or even the Thirst-Zapper? Also, have the Two Shot nerfs to launchers been reverted or changed yet? I will likely pick Two Shot, Juggernaut's, Executioner's, or Instigating for this weapon if Anti-armor does not work. I can't make good use of Junkie's or Aristocrat's lol

So if the "Polished" 4* effect also applies to Grenades, wouldn't that mean it could be used on an Instigating Elder's Mark with the Armor Piercing mod? Wouod that allow Nuka Grenades to once again 1 shot Lvl 100 Super Mutants in West Tek?

I currently run it bloodied, 50% crit and 25 vats cost since I use it in VATS mainly. Would it be better to run explosive and pin-pointers instead of crit and polished?
Oh, and turtle that whole rubberbanding elf bar thing isn’t about the weapon it’s about explosion. I’m seeing the same problem with my pepper shaker sometimes I’ll go to a target and it’s help. I will do a rubber band by stop firing for a second and then just die to the poison. I think about the explosion by now being able to be on all these weapons. It wasn’t on before we’re going to have you know some issues that they’re going to have to work out personally think it was stupid to let us put explosion on anything.
Turtle 50% is 50% whether it’s additively or multiplicatively applied. It’s still 50%. It’s just 50% of a different sum and to be fair in the case of a weapon like this, it matters very little because you have very little to buffet damage

been running the gleaming raids for 2 days in a row...you dont need a powerarmor at all funky duds and a vampires gatling and that jumpy serum can do all stages...vampire flamethrower helps with the squad stage....the only hard stage is the one hit killing when grabbing fuel because the ai seems to cheat...they sometimes all home in on you and may come from all directions and then you are dead nothing you can do
Turtle you have six body parts to hit the torso only one of them when you’re firing a weapon that randomly it’s a body part with an electrical discharge. You have a one and six chance of hitting the torso or or a five out of six chance of hitting something elseI don’t know if the head that counts as a limb, so maybe you have a four out of six chance of hitting a limb.
I use it in vats just fine vats body shot then critical head shot. And repeat. I usually only miss around 10% of the body shots in vats and you can't miss the head shot with crits. And you shouldn't be using this weapon up close ever. I mean it is a lightning bazooka. You don't shoot RPGs in your face so treat this the same.
Stock with no mods or stars, Demolition Expert seems to still buff the damage on this weapon. Science perk cards do not… Does changing the mod configuration make those cards useful?
What I don't like about it for tagging is the fact, that it most likely insta kills a lot of enemies, so other players wont have a chance to tag them as well. I guess I will stick with Cremator or Fire Bows for this.
I have to respectfully disagree with food combat buffs in vats with vital(+50%crit) it works really well just vats head its like an arc rail gun hitting for 1600+
Not good DPS, but unless they changed it then it has a use case for being able to hit the shield generator without vats with alternate current muzzle, so worth considering for part of the fight for a non-vats build and then swapping to a gatling plasma, gauss minigun, etc for damage when shield is down

Bully's is a wierd one - first of all, if your weapon have explosive effect it's straight up doesn't work, maybe you'll get a proc on bigger enemies once every 4 shot or so. For non explosive weapons it does work, but it applies a 50% damage for the shot after you shoot a weak point. So if for example, you shoot enemy head then torso, you gonna get 50% damage to the torso, and if you shoot torso then head, you won't get any damage multiplication. Also I think it dose work in VATS despite stating otherwise.
Using Pounder's on my AA Auto-Axe gave Earl something to think about!

Thats why I think it only should work on legs and arms, beside working this way, it just makes bullys pointless (even if it was working as intended). Why would you use 50%+ damage only to the weak spot without Vats, when you can use 50% just more damage to everything except torso? Dealing increased damage while targeting arms and legs is still really useful, you basically can shoot anywhere (except torso) and get similar damage as a headshot.
@ pin pointers also works on the snakes eyes im doing 600 and 1.5k to the eyes and when i put the pin pointers on i did 900 and 2k dmg to the eyes

looks like a medics explosive would be pretty handy for events like Rad Rumble and test your metal,
it should tag everything and with no effort passively heal the NPC'S.

Turtle I just got this yesterday and I immediately of course went to the bench and made one and put the Tesla model on and I was not expected for heavy guns. I was in power armor and I did have stabilizer because I was using launcher weapons, but I was getting Upwards of 250 to 500 damage which by the way something I noticed is that you get more damage if you directly aim at target and use it like a sniper rifle, but I was able to get up to around 800 damage with Chris when using it in bats And I had no heavy gum for card time. The weapon does fine and I won hundred percent guarantee that if you have an armor on the weapon and an armor with stabilize, you are in reducing all damage resistances DRERRR cry, fire and poison. They’re all being reduced by 75% if you have an anti-arm weapon and you’re using stabilized which means you will in fact get more damage with armor than you would without no anti-arms never been and it still isn’t a damage boost it’s not it’s a deep off on the target so your mileage will vary depending on what kind of target you’re shooting if the target has little to no resist or gaining very little that’s the way it’s been since the dawn of time is a target doesn’t have much in the way of the resist that you are attacking if your weapon is all ballistic for instant well in this case, I believe it’s all energy if your weapon is all energy and the target has very little energy resist then you aren’t getting shit out of it but when you go to a target that does have energy resist you’re going to get much more mileage out of armor so it works that way for every weapon by the way, if your weapon is all ballistic, then an armor is obviously gonna be more readily useful because things are more likely to have damage resist than anything else, but bigger critters, like the scorch beast and the super mutants in the center and the Myler Queens all of them are going to have resist. I haven’t look lately to see what they look like because I know they’ve been settling with stuff in the background and not telling us I mean that’s were turned off for like three weeks and now they works perfect I mean they’re working amazingly nice strangler heart armor with a grenade launcher again is able to drop a grenade into a crowd in the ones that don’t die poison and they end up dying from the poison dot the way it should be the explosion spreads the poison to all of them and they’ll just die, but they weren’t working for like three weeks and none of you mentioned it but it’s true they were not anti-armor is always good because while you can’t mean you can’t cover every angle you just can’t there’s no weapons in the game that let you cover every angle unless you want to be switching weapons based on you know into the knowledge of what the resistor of your target do you just want to pick a weapon and use it you can’t go wrong ever with that armor because to be fair on the target, so don’t have armor it doesn’t really matter what your legendary effect is on your first start and for the target that do have armor they almost certainly are gonna have a good collection of DRER and then one or more of the elemental damages and usually those targets are very high radiation resist or immuneso 100% anti-armor is a good choice always and by the way explosion is too
I tested it last night with the Defeault config. You WILL burn through ammo fast if you go for FFR OR spam fire.

Turtle, I noticed with my 3-star Anti-Armor Prime Enclave Plasma Flamer with durability as 3rd star that after the GD update that my weapon durability has gone through the roof. I suspect that some bug or other was intoduced with the update, although I do not know for sure. Cheers!

They changed a lot of stuff, and I also think that they are making changes to the production servers on the fly things that can happen in the background without a patch as a for instance, for like at least weeks that were not happening then all of a sudden a couple days ago that started happening again I’ve been messing with poison dots fire. Dot dot none of them were happening all of a sudden if I go and I use a bleed fire chainsaw in my strangler heart armor. I get three dots on a scavenger that just destroy it. I mean the life is just draining away. They’re not all the same way summer three second summer five seconds so you can see you know when one stops and it slows down and when the last time you know what I mean, but for at least a few weeks, there were no dabs happening That came in without attached to my knowledge. There was no change for the client so the service side thing I kind of wonder if it doesn’t relate to some kind of act like that was happening with the same chainsaw set up I’m talking about. I watched a video of a guy running around again. Radiation rumble Just didn’t discriminate killing everybody with a long gold bar chain chainsaw with the flame mod on it he won power armor, though he just was running around killing everybody. I have a feeling the bleed was somehow getting through flat damage. Remember, we used to be able to do some funky shit with weed while it was back up on people when they weren’t addressed towards you and then they would attack you and instantly take a check of 250 weed in any case I saw that video and then shortly after I realized my poison dots weren’t happening from Sprangler heart so I started testing and nothing was working not a framer chainsaw not a framer auto wax Waldorf cocktails weren’t doing it nothing I couldn’t get that on anything and I’ll from working fine to see a little triangle for each diet. That’s on the critter and with my auto wax I mean with my chain so I put three dots at the shortest being the bleed for like Three seconds I think and then the other drawer like five seconds each and you can definitely see the life just reaching away. Also, my grenade launcher from my strangler. I can shoot into multiple critter even just target the ground granite spread the explosion and the poison goes with it, and they did that all without any announcement of my knowledge, and now the shredder is not being bothered by spring doesn’t matter what your strength is you do the same damage from one strength to third strength you can take all the ball you want it doesn’t change shit however to the accelerator barrel will gain you maximum amount of strength for me. It was like 12.0 Frank I mean 12 points of damage run the other barrel change shit and the weapon seems to have the same time to kill it had when I was doing you know 140 150 damage for attack so it’s like they ramped up the attack rate remove strength maybe they removed whatever was making strength for work so the only thing right this minute are twisted muscle, the basher guard and bashing on the weapon. None of the other barrel do anything special just the accelerated barrel which doesn’t make sense you think if it’s turning faster, it would do less damage the ones that turn slower should do more damage you know for balance so you don’t end up with one that is the only mod to get you, but I think they’re fiddling with it in the background without saying anything and I think they do that with a lot of stuff that’s new development company that’s handling this game. I think they fiddle around with stuff and that’s it right on the live server.

Idk the exact breakdown of how it boosts, but I'm full health and using two shot on both versions. I tested the ac muzzle with aa and ts and ts does more damage.

Mine is AA/E/25/Encircler’s. Really powerful on events and fun to shoot in vats. Just make sure you’re not shooting it point blank. Dur+polished is an interesting choice, but bloodied will only work if you avoid vats completely.
And also hint something I haven’t thought of. I wasn’t playing for a while so I don’t know if they fix self damage issues with the cremator but personally, I think the cremator is probably a better more efficient weapon than this, but I’m wondering now that the dots are fixed freely when I’m using a cremator and power right at myself on fire all the time because I don’t I fire willy-nilly at whatever the target is so close they are at the ground wherever just to set stuff on fire, but I used to have to jump out of my power armor with the chest piece on my regular armor to keep from killing myself with the burn out from the cremator I’m wondering now that dots are fixed. If I can even use the cremator in my power armor again without you know, put it on sizzling style, which I’m not gonna do because I like special for cards so I can have more regular cards on my bill so this may in fact become my main heavy weapon for just every day use at least for vent padding instead of the cremator cause there it goes I mean, I don’t really worry too much about event tagging because I’m in strangler heart I tag everything in a Like a 50 foot diameter around me. I get to load every body in there as long as I’m in the center of the room, I’m pretty much tag and everything that died, but if I shoot a cremator in each direction ever so often that’s also tagging in any case I usually run or Trying to rank up the event, but I really do like this gun the fact that you don’t have to be pinpoint accurate when you aim the fact that you’ve been just prior to ceiling and walls like a Tesla the fact that when you do use that and it does massive damage, I mean without have gone per cards I was seeing numbers in the eight 900 range I mean, obviously I also had adrenaline Frank up probably at that point, but I only have well yeah I have like three points in adrenaline because I didn’t have anything else to put in agility so I just popped off adrenaline as high as it would go so it was probably a 48% damaging increase from adrenaline but still it was one shotting anything with a credit and sometimes one chatting without it a good weapon that is a main juice like a rifle like a rifleman gun only I have a gun. It’s a good gun. They did something right and it’ll get a nerve in about two months

Seems like a good substitute for Plas Cas now come with chaining hits from nearby enemies variants, could be amazing for repair bots and daily use. Just not sure how it would feel to make a B/FFR/25lvc with highest fire rate possible tho, since this weapon take like 1/3 of the screen
Honestly, if we live simply given up fine weapon durability issues I use a lot of auto Malay and I use the shredder. The shredder didn’t have any issues, but the shredder is currently nursed. It’s not two things about the shredder right this moment at least yesterday it’s not being both bite strength at all you can be at one strength for 30 strength. You’ll do the same damage in my configuration with my car car with 1 02 damage with a prime barrel the other thing about it is the accelerated barrel at like 14 damage. It never used to it never used to do anything no matter what barrel you put on, but the shredder seems to have the same time to kill it always had, but with much less damage because of no strength, boss, and that one barrel the accelerator barrel is now puffing the strength. I’m not sure if they’re filling with it. I’ve noticed that they’ve been doing some under the cover work on the production servers like they turned off that all dots were not working for like three weeks you maybe got one what appeared to be like one die after you fired a weapon with that or use the web with that, but if you had five seconds of that damage, it was not happening well if they turned it back on with a engine that’s happening really well now your poison something with an auto with poison on it you can see their fire just disappearing Like 600 poison damage over five seconds same thing if you shoot a auto grenade launcher into a crowd, the explosion will spread poison on everything and you’ll see it. You weren’t just last week. They’re doing stuff making changes. They’re not telling us they’re doing it and then they’re changing it again or changing it back or fixing it or Whatever And right now it’s the shredder. The shredder is not bossed by strength at the moment. It is still bossed by twisted my soul. It’s still bossed by the bashing card and the bashing legendary effect but it’s basically a fixed number. Whatever damage you do you’ll do it no matter how you boss yourself Actually that’s another thing. It seems like that somewhere in that equation, even though when you point the weapon something with awareness, you’ll see your anti armor, but it seems like it’s not working either one or both whether the weapons and armor or stabilized armor one both of them doesn’t seem to be working because you’ll get 102 damage on at target but then when you go out and start killing critters, but have very little armor to begin with you’ll get less damage so you’re not illuminating their armor. It seems like something‘s going on anyway I stopped using it The disturbing part and maybe the best part is that it seems like they’re fucking with the barrels. maybe they’re finally gonna make the shredder do have gun damage right instead of being based on me shit which it should never have been based on. Maybe they’re finally gonna make it be based on heavy gun stuff Which by the way, I tried it with having gun birth art that’s not in Christian to damage but I’ve also heavily touched this gun over and over again and barrels never used to matter. They didn’t change the time to kill so no change and attack rate and the damage was identical whichever barrel you put on But right now accelerator barrel is adding 12 damage for me on the paper target in my camp and it’s adding damage when I’m out killing stuff just not as much somehow it’s the damage is like muted even on target with little to no resistances. They still seem to be taking less damage than that paper target Whereas the auto X they work fine on that one and quit Bentley it just became available in a bundle in the store again for like 700 Adams so if you haven’t bought that auto wax there buffing the shit out of it then Ning it back down but still more powerful Than the chainsaw so go get you an auto wax before they decide to nerve it back down to where it equals the chainsaw cause the chainsaw is useless right now in any configuration although I was having fun when the dad came back I was having fun with a chainsaw with a long bow bar for bleed with a flame or mod for flame in my strangler heart for poison so I was putting a poison flame and bleed that at target But it doesn’t matter right that are not that important than most critters. They still die really quickly but you could literally see the difference and the time to kill with a chainsaw versus autoracks or even a shredder as a shredder seems like now it’s time to kill just as fast as an auto wax. It just looks like it’s doing way less damage. It should be doing when fully fast like near 200 180 90 damage without buffing at all, it should be doing about 140 damage but it’s doing like 47 or 70 damage depending on what you’re hittingbut then again like I said still seems like everything dies when you touch it so I don’t know what they got going on with that. I just put it aside till they get finished.

this works on multiple weapons, and will also give a free shot after the last shot from a mag. IE: cold shoulder 7th shot

Quick question: Does the Demolitionist perk ONLY provide extra damage if the shockwave barrel is attached, or does it also apply to the chain lightning barrel? My friend runs a heavy gunner/demo build so we'd like to know which one would be best for him.
Yes. My damage numbers go up on my V/E tesla with standard barrel when I equip Demolition expert. They do NOT change for my AA/FF tesla with Alternate Current ("lightning") barrel, so Demo Expert does nothing for Alt Current weapons. You want Grenadier for both though.
I should add, Demolition Expert also helps my Instigating/AIM tesla with standard barrel, so it doesn't have to be explosive second star for demo expert to work.
Great guide I love the tesla cannon, having fun with it so far. I have a unrelated question turtle, for the cremator does pyromaniac even do anything? I know you are still testing but wondering if pin-pointers might be better. Not even sure the dot is affected by pryomaniac.
Another thing you said all of the four stars are powerful. They’re all situational but they’re all powerful pretty much. I mean there’s only a couple that seem to not have much of a juice cake, but they’re all almost all powerful in their own right for instance, put it on an auto wax that has poison, poison, and electricity have the same well they all have the same ballistic damage whether you modeled them or not, but the poison damage and the electric damage are identical unless you put the science cards on then the electric damage gets better but the poison gets a gigantic poison that I mean I’ve had it up to 620 something 626 or something and put Viper on auto if it can be done. I mean I’ll have the viper mod so I can’t test it but if you could put viper on an auto wax with poison or put it on an auto ax with electricity in strangler heart, you will always be doing that extra 50% damage always and Unless there’s a cool down that they haven’t mentioned same thing goes with the other one pyromaniac with the one that affects fire almost every mod is situationally very very good on something and the first pinpoint goes on a weapon that creates an electric discharge that just randomly hits parts of anything close to it obviouslyI mean that’s an OB brain

One thing I found is that I think this update in general bugged the 3rd star +50 Durability, installed it on both my holy fire and Gatling Plasma, and after using both for literally 60 hours since the update dropped not one of them lowered a single percentage, they are still capped out at the 200% durability from both bars being full.

great vid, made me redesign my tesla, also great tip about polished. Thankfully i picked up 3 pinpointers so far. How is yoru dmg so high on them though, i have an AA chain tesla with pinpoints, exactly the same as you, but it only shows 224 dmg, where as yorus shows 932...
I like using dc muzzle version in vats, ac, manual aiming. Full health, I've found two shot does more damage than aa for both versions. Using aim damage for ac muzzle since explosive won't work and faster fire rate barely adds anything to it. ac muzzle could definitely be good in vats too, i just prefer to not use vats if i don't have to. But i find dc a bit hard to hit accurately with manual aiming for some reason. Maybe because of the sights.

That’s why I like the gun, but I still other than using it for the Walter piercing explosion. I still kind of think there are better guns for that but cremator as I have a configured on heavy gun belt with two points in each heavy gun card and demo expert in grenadier. I’m doing well what if I didn’t have grounded? I’d be doing about 450 damage on just a straight hit and then bought another 500 die damage and if adrenaline pump it up, you know obviously even higher, and I still think you know if you change to the high damage that weapon still going to be better for tagging and mob, you know, elimination, even respect for heavy gun. It’s still going to do better unless unless you’re using it for the explosive factor wall, but that everybody’s got an explosive mod box flying around and most people haven’t gotten past the alternating current mod in all they just got the weapon so either way they’re both considered. Don’t ask me why the cremator is 100% of fire weapon, but it’s affected by grounded it seriously affect that because I mean the amount of single target damage is fairly high on that weapon at base so grounded 13% you know take more. Both weapons are affected by grounded so if you have grounded on either one is going to suffer, ironically the pepper shaker, which does with the plasma cartridge does plasma energy damage am ballistic damage is not affected by grounded When you when you examine a weapon down at the bottom, I think those are the keywords that you’re gonna find if you date mine a weapon and the temper shake or even though it has an energy mark on the tool dip with plasma, it doesn’t have the word energy in those keywords Not entirely sure, but I think that that is a solid indicator of whether or not grounded is or is not affecting your weapon. I haven’t checked a lot of weapons but pepper shakers is not affected by grounded even with plasma cartridge or you know if you mind it for one of the two energy cartridges. It’s still not effective with plasma. I didn’t check it with the Cell. It’s possible it is affected with cell. I don’t know and it’s a good thing. It’s not effective because grounded is still bugged and it’s not just taking 13% of the energy damage it’s taking if you have shared energy on ballistic it’s taking 13 of both. The Gattlin plasma is losing 26% Electric auto wax is losing 26% electric if you have grounded run poison or fire either of those take a penalty although I’d run fire is the flame is fucked right now. The damage is so much lower on the flight on the chainsaw and the auto X I don’t understand, but has the same that. But much less damage and muscle much less immediate flame damage.

Oh, and turtle that whole rubberbanding elf bar thing isn’t about the weapon it’s about explosion. I’m seeing the same problem with my pepper shaker sometimes I’ll go to a target and it’s help. I will do a rubber band by stop firing for a second and then just die to the poison. I think about the explosion by now being able to be on all these weapons. It wasn’t on before we’re going to have you know some issues that they’re going to have to work out personally think it was stupid to let us put explosion on anything.

Turtle 50% is 50% whether it’s additively or multiplicatively applied. It’s still 50%. It’s just 50% of a different sum and to be fair in the case of a weapon like this, it matters very little because you have very little to buffet damage
So Is None explosive version the one that doesn’t cause damage to yourself?

been running the gleaming raids for 2 days in a row...you dont need a powerarmor at all funky duds and a vampires gatling and that jumpy serum can do all stages...vampire flamethrower helps with the squad stage....the only hard stage is the one hit killing when grabbing fuel because the ai seems to cheat...they sometimes all home in on you and may come from all directions and then you are dead nothing you can do

Turtle you have six body parts to hit the torso only one of them when you’re firing a weapon that randomly it’s a body part with an electrical discharge. You have a one and six chance of hitting the torso or or a five out of six chance of hitting something elseI don’t know if the head that counts as a limb, so maybe you have a four out of six chance of hitting a limb.
I have explosive on mine but it doesnt explode like that.. What did l do wrong? Almost scrapped it cuz it does no explode unless thats a regular mod

I use it in vats just fine vats body shot then critical head shot. And repeat. I usually only miss around 10% of the body shots in vats and you can't miss the head shot with crits. And you shouldn't be using this weapon up close ever. I mean it is a lightning bazooka.
You don't shoot RPGs in your face so treat this the same.
Yes, if you mod it at 200% with more durability, it will give you infinite durability. I've done 12 vault raids with the same gatplas with no repairs

Stock with no mods or stars, Demolition Expert seems to still buff the damage on this weapon. Science perk cards do not… Does changing the mod configuration make those cards useful?

I must have missed it. Why is this wep not good for use with VATS?
What I don't like about it for tagging is the fact, that it most likely insta kills a lot of enemies, so other players wont have a chance to tag them as well. I guess I will stick with Cremator or Fire Bows for this.

I have to respectfully disagree with food combat buffs in vats with vital(+50%crit) it works really well just vats head its like an arc rail gun hitting for 1600+

not good for bosses
Not good DPS, but unless they changed it then it has a use case for being able to hit the shield generator without vats with alternate current muzzle, so worth considering for part of the fight for a non-vats build and then swapping to a gatling plasma, gauss minigun, etc for damage when shield is down
