I'm already using the gimbal bracers. And man.... It's really amazing. The settings to recharge the fusion core sacrifices too much but is really good to know about it. One thing I have to try is if the self damage of the Tesla Cannon could recharge the core. I already saw the electrical mutation rechawa core when I was using the Electrical Absorption legendary card. Yes, it's possible, but the chances are low, very low. But as we are continually shooting the the Tesla Cannon, could trigger the absorption more easily
It’ll be tough to convince me to abandon my ultracite PA with a jetpack arm and emergency protocols on the torso but this will seriously make me think about it
I haven't done a single raid yet even though I tested it before on PTS. The first days after the update I farmed XP to reach score rank 100 and then Path of Exile 2 happened. Next week I will probably farm Collision Course for Holiday Scorched and Gatling Plasma mod plans and around Christmas I don't have time to play at all. So raiding has to wait until next year.
Vulcan power armor feels almost like tissue paper to me. Full OE + 5 stacks of ageis. My T65 holds up better against sustained damage. Vulcan, armor gets shredded. I like Vulcan, even outside of vats but I just can't tank damage as well. Been having issues with it like that

Don't let youtubers intimidate you. I was having a rough time at first, but practice and the right teammates helps. The tunnels are not that difficult to find the fuel. The 3rd part is a little tough unless you have a full team, and the 4th isn't so bad once you understand you kill enemies by destroying the crystals next to them and not shooting them directly. I'll be doing the snake boss tonight.
I’ve been trying occasionally to do the second stage when teams I join are going there. I’m not familiar with it so I can’t really help and feel bad when I can’t really contribute past just killing the mole miners.
Do I want it? I just want calibrated shocks to drop! More than 200 raids and still no luck. Got like 3 sets of vpa with same 4 star effects, almost all mods but still no shocks or jetpack
The RNG is, as always, horrible. Bugthesda need to find a better way of doing it. Maybe give us a shop that we can buy these plans from with some kind of currency you can only get through the raid. The fact that their answer to everything is more RNG is why I always quit this game after a week or two after an update.
yeah I hear you, but to tell the true I just go carnivore with Smoked mirelurk fillets [+60 to carry for 90min] and if you really need, capacity booster on top of it, or +4 Gulper stuffed foot [easy to get from nuka vendor] and the best is to use the 3star mods Thru-Hikers [4] arms-keeper[1] .. this way you can free up perks cards for damage/reload or defense buffs [iron stomach, natural resistance] ... you put ballistic shield and ricochet on top of that ... some vampire heavy gun and few super stimps ...and a secondary good damage gun .. and you can beat guardian basically standing still and topping off hear health. for the rest, funky-dud lev3 and you can stim over anything ... I get such a huge surplus of super stimps and stimps that I usually just drop the stims and late share super stims with low level players along with some mutations serums as it's just clutter for me at this point :D sorry for the long answer, I just feel like this info can help your mood a bit, to realize that neither shocks nor jatpack should prevent you from enjoying the set ;)
All power armor performs essentially the same in that regard. Turtle actually has a video showing that lvl 15 pa is hardly worse than lvl 50 purely as far as DR goes.
I main auto axe so im more into the reflecting mods for my sets but union is my go to for now for general game i am running hellcat trouble shooters for guardian and building up my vulcans for hunter/snake set up i have 3 thruhikers and one reflecting currently but i cant get 4star mods to drop unless im scrapping valkrie or drillfist i have had the worst luck so far but i did get pounders on my v40pa25less ap autoaxe finally through a mod trade i hope they dont nerf it its just hilarious the damage im doing now in melee 😂
I'm a non-VATS user and I switched to this armor because of the Gimbals bracer mod, don't think I'll be using any other PA other than this now. Wish they would release the Gimbal mod on the other PAs because I like the look of the T-65 a lot more than the Vulcan. Waiting on some modder to make a clean version of the Vulcan without the protruding crystals.
The clean skin is called the Equalizer You should be able to take the arms off the Vulkan and put them on another set and get the effect. Just use a skin like heat eater to make them look like T-65 arms
G'day Angry Turtle, if the Ultracite Terror is a creature according to Fallout 76 would the Hunter's legendary effect on power armor be more effective than Overeater's
Yes it will help with last boss but you will need to make a set for it. I just think about using one gp with hunter's effect, union PA is good enough for last boss just keep in check your health and add medical mod on torso and agility perk for stimpak auto use
I dont wear PA for the whole raid. Nothing in there out damages funky duds. Even the snake, as far as poison goes. Once you get more comfortable and less nervous, thus making less mistakes, you'll find a lot of the deaths in a raid cone from that.
@@andrewbrock3675most of my deaths come from the ultracite mole miners in the cave they triple team me most of the time, but I did figure out that if they follow you to the drill room, they dig through the ground somewhere else, so you can easily clear them out of an area

I have a full set with oe and sentinels on it. Is the sentinels effect still broken? I haven't noticed much of a difference when getting attacked, but it would be interesting to know since they did fix some things like the ultracite laser gun afterawhile with this update
Nice video turtle. I have a question. If you have a 25 less VATS gun plus you're wearing the vulcan set, that's multiplicative, right? So, 50% less VATS cost. Now, if you added scanners to all 5 pieces as a 4th star, would that also be multiplicative and give you 75% less VATS cost? Or is scanners additive not multiplicative?
@AngryTurtle I'm calculating this. 25% less VATS cost from your weapon, 25% less VATS cost from the Vulcan power armour, (that's 50% less VATS cost reduction so far) then 5 pieces of Vulcan PA with the 4th star Scanners effect which is 5% per piece for a total of 25%. So that, in theory, would add up 75% less VATS cost reduction. My question is, is that how it works in practice, or does the Scanners mod not stack with the Vulcan PA and 25% less VATS cost weapons?
I don't think I would ever want to give up calibrated shocks and jetpack, so I don't think I will be using this power armor. Although, I am farming the first raid boss a whole lot but that's because of the 4th star mods. A lot of Vulcan stuff is dropping but it feels like pearls before swine for me :/

Depends on your playstyle. Aegis, Rejuvenators for defence and ap/hp regen, for damage I wouldn't choose anything but limit breaking 1 rank and scanners, to get crit every second shot in PA, overall with crit build you will have more dmg than just ranger's for example. Anyway, just my thoughts
pin pointer is the best damage perk for weapons with high fire rate and polish for explosives or slow fire rate weapons. For armors there are many options depending of what you want.
Same applies to me - no helmet after many full! runs 🥺! My friend already got it several times, even the plan. I am happy for him but I also would like to have a bit of luck 😔. Let’s not loose hope, as Grahm always says: „ one day, Chally the moo-moo, ONE day…“ .
How ard you able to install 4star mods on every piece of pa? When i try to install a second one it says it will replace my current one? What do i miss?
Doesn’t matter if it’s any good or not if you can’t finish the damn turret stage. Every time I try I get SERVER NOT RESPONDING, the turret takes no damage and I have to quit the Raid. Pathetic.
Minor note. Your tests only show the effects of AP drain, not fusion core drain. Since you are not using the PA HUD you don't have an on screen gauge showing your core charge level.
honestly i can say this armor is amazing but also total shit because its so difficult to get the mods for this weapon i would have rather bought it with gold bullion or caps or so now tou have to pay with holy hell lot of time and patience also its not easy to get any plans i have been doing this for 2 weeks and i only got one 2 crappy plans so nah i would say t65 still the best

I don’t think it is wise to wear the armor covered in the crystals that grew out of the bodies of the previous wearers.

The Vulcan power armor is my favorite power armor by far. But this update is very confusing because our options have exponentially increased.
Vulcan is so damn great. I have a OE/Luck/Thru-Hikers/ 3 Limit Breakers and 2 rejuv. It’s very good at Vats Heavy Build

Hellcat is still the best PA, you can wear Hellcat with any other sets jetpack helmet/arm/leg and get all but -2% of the ignored ballistic damage.

Is it possible for you to revisit Thorn Armor and rippers. Feels like I'm getting flattened way more often for way less damage returns from pre patch.
