I actually loved that they used this track. Not only because it's just such a beautiful song- it's also highlighting more. I watched Day of the Doctor a couple weeks ago and towards the end (if I'm remembering correctly) they played this song. In some variation, anyway. And that was pretty surprising to me because I always associated it with Heaven Sent (my favorite episode of the show). So yeah. I thought it was a nice tribute to both day of the doctor, when we first saw Twelve, and Heaven Sent which is arguably one of Twelve's best episodes :) Thanks for the tutorial! I think I'm going to try and learn it.
I love this track as well but I feel like regeneration should have it's own special music that should reflect that Doctor and be rememberable and be used only for that Doctor's regeneration.
Well Breaking the Wall was kind of a message of like how the Doctor still has a purpose after the 50th and Hell Bent. He made Gallifrey travel into a pocket universe and Breaking the Wall played or ‘This time there’s three of us,’ the original title. Then in Heaven Sent it came back but in the future so technically he found it again. His arc or purpose that started from series 1 ended and breaking the wall playing during his regeneration means that she has a purpose for traveling and that’s what doctor who was supposed to be. Also damn I can’t wait for the 50’s episode for episode 2 of s11.
I wanted them to use breaking the wall bc it’s sort of become 12’s secondary theme, and vale decem had part of 10’s theme in it and I think it’s fitting to have a version of their theme playing as they regenerate bc it’s a bittersweet moment for the audience since they’ll never hear that theme with that character on the show again

I was just listening to my mega Doctor Who playlist, and just noticed "Breaking the Wall" actually makes an earlier appearance in the middle of "This Time There's Three of Us (The Majestic Tale)" from the 50th! So technically, that theme is not new to Series 9.
After watching Archnids in the UK (S11 Ep 4), I'd rather have The Master/Henry Saxon as President of the United States then...what's his face? (The guy in Episode 4 who is a total douche and *SPOILERS* fires Yaz's mom)
So, Twice Upon A Time just came out, and although it was a good episode, I was kinda disappointed by a few things - one of those things being the lack of any new memorable soundtracks, and especially the fact that the Doctor regenerated with Breaking The Wall playing in the background. Don't get me wrong, I love this track, I was just expecting something new, that's all. Anyway, I wanted to make something for DW from the new episode, and I thought that I might as well remake Breaking The Wall, since I wanted to do so for a very long time. So, if want to play the song by my tutorial, here's a thing about the left hand - you don't have to jump between the octaves, you can play all in one, if it sounds good on your piano. It didn't sound good with my VST (which is odd) so that's why I made the left hand all jumpy.
I remember Murray said saying before 11th regeneration that it's not always going to be original tracks for the regenerations but what feels right for him still its all good

I wish Hell Bent had been about the Doctor losing his humanity and taking revenge. I think it would have fit Heaven Sent, the prophecy and the other building plot points better. You could still have the memory wipe: the Time Lords could give it to the Doctor to stop him. You could still have the diner scene: it could be a hallucination as all his memories of Clara are destroyed one by one. Heck, you could even have this magical memory wipe serve to (partially) erase one of my biggest problems with the Moffat era - if the Doctor forgets the return of the Timelords, we would be able to see his guilt, and emotion, like we did before The Day of the Doctor, again.

Although there are a lot of good tracks in this game, that's for sure, I don't like them as much as "die anywhere else", for example. When he regenerated, 10 basically caused the TARDIS to explode. Same with 12. Also, roughly the same position relative to the doors and console. Lastly, just the way he regenerated, was like 10. Not to be mad or anything, but still.

12's regeneration was practically a ripoff of 10's regeneration. Anyone else think so?

When he regenerated, 10 basically caused the TARDIS to explode. Same with 12. Also, roughly the same position relative to the doors and console. Lastly, just the way he regenerated, was like 10. Not to be mad or anything, but still.
+Darth C Reaper 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12's regeneration are practically rip offs of 1's regeneration. Anyone else think so?
