Overvolting toys! #4 Furby and more animals!

- I put higher voltage on more toys primarily using a 0-30V bench power supply. But some toys required even more voltage to die! Used a Variac with a full bridge rectifier (input 230V) when I needed more than 30V.

Sorry for the reflection in furbys eyes, I'm investing in proper lighting.
I normally try to not use the same toys as others already used.
I had some requests to do a furby which I've included in this video. This is a 2012 model, @highvoltagetoys has a video on another model.
I am also aware that aboringday had a similar ape in a video. However, I had this lying around and I had the board connected which I think added some value to this toy at 8V and 25V.

CSkirt, please overvolt a humanoid robot toy like... dare I say it? “robo-sapien”? I am curious to know how fast it can dance and have multiple seizures without popping it’s circuits.
You should put the voltage to max on a toy, preferably outside and away from all flammable materials.

The chip on these cheap Chinese toys are extremely small. am not joking the size is like a piece of rise!!

I find it weird that the toy dog audio started slowly dying at 7 volts, the way it happens is interesting
Most TTL logic chips die at around 7volts and are rated for 5v operation. It's fun to see the current go high as the chip pops and then back to low levels when only the motor remains working
The chip became extremely overheated due to the high voltage and that's why It went lower pitched

I’ve rigged some of my furbies to 6v adapters before. I mainly do it because that way they dance better without the weight of the batteries. I’d never overvolt mine, but it’s still very interesting to watch this. I’m surprised the motor was still operational with 25v.
