Nadal in english...so funny!. if anything because of how funny some very common expressions in spanish sound in english. He tries to translate them into english and the result is just priceless :)
So glad he speaks English now (learned in record time too) because the world now is getting to know him, he's such a treasure. So much natural charm, it just spills out. Love the little dig at reporters at 8:06.
The name of the song is, "Antes de ver el sol"(before seeing the sun) and the singer is "Coti".It is an Argentine singer-songwriter, also known in Spain.
omg... important thing is the ball and the racquet ... not the clothes... Rafa regularly dishes out such great truths about life and sport... even as a young kid...
this videos are old, of the beginning of his career, nowadays nadal's english improve a lot, if you see an 2013's interview, he speaks fluent and he understand without difficult
What does he say when asked if his clothing helped with the result? The sound on my laptop is tinny and I can't make it out. THANKS. P.S. Excellent video. All of my favourite Rafa moments! He is supreme!
The song is called ¨Quiero escuchar tu voz¨ by German Montero. I live in Spain and it is a very popular song. (the title means: I want to listen to your voice)
Someone wanted to know why he's giving the finger. The reporters asked him what his favorite swear word was and since he didn't want to say it he made the gesture instead.
Entrevistador: esta contento con su juego hoy? Rafa: como? que si estoy contento? si no estubiera contento de estar en semifinales del us open seria un poco estupido no?
Ists not an importrant point but this is not true. since this year the spanish is the second spoken lenguage after the chinese, the english is the third. Probably it cuuld be nice if the players learn some spanish aswell, or chinesse
why?? he isn't English. he is from Spain! he doesn't need to improve if he doesn't want to. U don't see English players looking to improve their Spanish. that's his lang not English.
@amazinglyace After the Question Rafa says: What happened the fans didnt like?,Sorry...i feeling ok for sure when you have a change some people like and some people dont like,im feeling good ladies important thing in the end is not the clothes, its the ball and the racket ;)
@rockingouttoipod Because he couldn't think of the english word he wanted to use while being interviewed. He usually just does the *finger snap* thing but I guess he was for frustrated this time, he felt the "bird" better filled the gap lol.
English is the most common and widely spoken language (other than Chinese) in the world. It's the best way for people to be able to communicate with each other internationally. This makes it especially important for professional athletes because they travel all around the world and need to be able to communicate with media and fans.
may be...but one doesnt have to be shakespearean or some cnn/bbc type to come across to the audience... can do it like Rafa and be understood...it is actually refreshing to hear someone being so natural and not prattling unnecessarily...just because they can keep saying things in english..
@markofahalo i know it annoyed me too and i posted "what does vamos mean"on like 20 videos until i finally got a answer. on google translate it says it means we, but "We Rafa!" doesnt work :L
Vamos Rafa.
I'm not implying that... What I'm saying is, while he doesn't deserve the ridiculous amount of stick he received for his english, improving it won't hurt him either, in fact it will benefit him greatly. Fed is charming and Novak is funny, how do we know it, because they can express it in language we understand thus improving their marketability greatly. Sadly, while I'm sure Nadal is not lacking in charm and humor, he had difficulty expressing it.
"what happened fans didn't like "...was what he asked... about his change from the sleeveless shirt/top to sleeved t shirt on court... imagine Rafa saying something like "fancy the leg..." poor kid... he does not think on those lines...
How could anyone not like him?
+bmyjg234 La mayoria son fan de Federer...
ROGER RONNIE LIN DAN XU XIN Justin
'Roger, sorry for today...'.....ROFL...what an amazing guy...
interviewer: so tell me, how did you celebrate?.
nadal: jumping...
Lol...
jumpin'...totally lol...what a kid... blunt answer to a stupid question...the guy who asked, sounded stumped...
Nadal in english...so funny!. if anything because of how funny some very common expressions in spanish sound in english. He tries to translate them into english and the result is just priceless :)

Anyone tell me the title of the song Rafa was singing? quite catchy! :)
Lady Gaga- Pokerface
would be great if you had sub-titles 4 the other language..

lol is that norwegian at 5:31?
Does someone know what's the song at 5:36?
I'm not implying that...
