How many more slams will Rafa win before he retires?
2 more french opens no more
I think he still has 4-5 more French Open titles in him. He only dropped one set throughout the entire tournament this year, still an unbeatable monster to face on clay. The other slams, I'd say maybe he has two or three more, depending on how healthy Djokovic stays LOL
Zero
5
3, including the current AO
He was 16, but he still didn't let his growing stardom come in the way of his humility. What a legend.
Abhinav Sinha agree
Agree
"and one day he could be almost unbeatable."
Reading this just after Nadal won his 11th RG (with Moya as his coach). He was absolutely correct all those years ago..
That line pretty much summarized Nadal's entire career. Almost unbeatable. Moya predict my future too >:D
HGH helps
make that 12!
@@thamindad1 Reading this after 19 at US...this guy never stops!
Here after he just won his 12 French open 😂😂😂 unbelievable.
Me too😂
Mee too 😅
Same
And now after the Us Open
But do not forget the 4 us open, 2 wimbledon and 1 aus open... 35 master 1000... I think he was right...
you can learn tennis skills, but you can't learn or acquire a champion's mind! Nadal is the ultimate competitor!!!
That is BS , You can actually acquire a champs mind, it’s just a change of mindset.
Agree
@@aaronovski9949 yh, nadal got it from Uncle Toni, takes a lot of time and ideally you gotta be young tho
How composed, humble and balanced was Rafa even at 16. He's truly one of the rarest gems in all of sports. Really love him ❤️
I love how moya said all that stuff about nadal like before he became the worlds best, he was completely right
yeah. it takes a winner to know a winner.
To be fair, we hear the same talk about Alexander Zverev from Rafa Nadal. We can recognize talent from a young age. You can't predict a champion with certainly. All of them have nothing but the best words to describe the youngest generation of players with right now - but until any of them become anything, they'll remain prospects of our sports. There will always be a difference between aptitude and ability. What lies between them is the secret to success.
They weren't saying this about Zverev at 16 though.
Not really the worlds best right now, it’s always been him and Roger him and Roger always at the top of the tennis game a year or 2 was Noel the 2016 was Murray but the most dominate is Roger and Nadal Overall, it’s really based on opinion.
Well when they asked Rafa why arent Thiem, Zverev and co. winning GSs yet his answer was because they are not good enough :)
I'm here a day after he won the 2019 US Open, his 19th GS. 😊
Australian open 22 winner!what a legend!
Legendary Athlete..! who would have thought this 16 yr old kid would go on to win his 21st grand slam at the age of 35 🙌
Now 22! 🙌
"and one day he could be almost unbeatable". such prophetic words for a 16-year-old Nadal, proved to be true. for many years, on claycourts, he was almost unbeatable.
he beat Federer shortly after this interview. No biggie
Nadal was 15 when he beat moya in a masters event. That probably had something to do with it.
@@adamblister6005 he was 16
@@adamblister6005 still... Amazing
Nadal was beaten b anybody on French Open only because of injuries, even in 2021 French Open
"He's a tough player already [at age 16] but one day he could be almost unbeatable" ~ Carlos Moya on Rafa Nadal ~ now coach to Nadal's 12th Roland Garros title
Wow. at 16 he had that wisdom. Insane
The last sentence goosebumps " One day he might be unbeatable".
Hearing Rafa's Spanish translated is so cool. It really shows you how intelligent he is.
What a humble young man
Wow! Such a composed and inspiring man at such a young age!!!
Born to become a champion
VAMOS Rafa
Nadal had a good head on his shoulders and a mature outlook even at the age of 16. a big advantage over many others (including me) at same age.
Are you a professional tennis player?
Anyone else think the title was "16 year old Nadal on Trans Women"
YES
@@j-zeb0248 Me toooo
Moron spotted
Nope. It must be your glass eye, Jeff.
it is very clearly trans world...
Who would've guess that he would become an ALL TIME GREATEST!!! Such a natural!!! AMAZING CHAMP!!!
That guy looks like he will win some grand slams...
What a beautiful child Rafa... he is such a pet...inspires affection even now... speaks with a childlike honesty and frankness...sad that one has to watch him age... :-) ...
Work ,work ,work ! that's his secret and his natural talent of course, Una leyenda viva !! RAFA NADAL 💪🏼🇪🇸🎾❤️
those fifa graphics doe
Nobody I know right! Lol
lolol
Nobody 😀
What an exceptional athlete. Deserves all the success he’s achieved
Still shouldn't compare him to Moya...but for the opposite reason
Yeah lol. :D
Lol
Absolute stunner of a comment.
You mean moYAH?
One day is already here in 2019 ... he is unbeatable in clay with 12 Roland Garros championships..
Rafa the fighter..👊
The champion..🧡
I get goosebumps when i think that everything they predicted has become real
Rafael Nadal, what can you say about the guy? On his top form just about unplayable. That forehand always reminded me of the Circus Master cracking his whip. I’ve never seen anything like it. His sheer power, accuracy, mental toughness, aggression, will to win and ruthlessness never to be seen again. A total one off is Nadal.
2019...and still watching this...love Rafael....always.
"One day he could be almost unbeatable"- Carlos Moya.
And unbeatable he is, indeed!
BRAVO on 12 wins at RG .....so very proud of you RAFA.....cheers to your health !!
Rafa is my favourite of all time
Nadal for the win at the US open 2013!
Rafa's Resurrection.
Here after he just won his 19 major! 😁
Moya called it right
most dominant tennis player ever. prime nadal wasn't almost unbeatable, he was straight up untouchable.
on clay
@@larrylrs7226 so?
@@Grillinnappretty self explanatory if you ask me
Moya was right. For a while, Nadal was almost unbeatable at clay ! The only player that you can say was really unbeatable at certain surface
For a while?
By while you mean 11 years? Every year except 2014,15,16 and 19
Im here after he won his 13th roland garros win
Uncle Toni made Rafa understand that you don't have to have to best tools to be the best in your trade. I think that's the best thing about him.
Josef Provido Thank you
Thing is Nadal does have some of the best tools as well haha.
@@DjokovicIsOurLordAndSaviour Yeah, I don't know when this myth of Nadal having limited talent will die. One of the biggest forehands on the tour and he's not one of the best in ability? People must think you can just muscle forehands with awful timing and still not have your shoulder fall off if you 'have the right attitude'.
@@madanmohan1024 Yeah, people just have too poor a concept of what level of skill and precision a forehand like that requires.
she didn't say that
He's best in the world, he's my idol he's my inspiration.
Lots of love from Rafa
“Soy bastante luchador”. That’s him
You are truly a fighter king Rafa my King 👑 🤴🇪🇸 then and now 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯✅
3:19 such mature statement from Rafa at such a young age.
10 years later..... Rafa has become one of the greatest tennis players ever....
20 years later, Rafa with 22GS, is the GOAT.
Participating in soccer really seem to have helped to strenghen and condition Rafa's legs. Maybe that's why he's been a beast in his movements on court over the years.
Rafa is so so so much to tennis. In my humble opinion he saved the Sport and kept it interesting for the last 13 years. Rogers done the same of course but Rafa excites in a way that just can't be measured. long may he continue. Blessed to have followed this ICON all of my adult life.👏👏👏
I don't think Roger would be as good as he is if it wasn't for Rafa. Roger was dominating easily and then this little teenager came along and started challenging him and denied him his coveted French Open crown so many times, as well as taking some other slams off him. So Federer had no choice but to get even better
MsJubjubbird I agree. Nadal has touched Federer ego and shook tennis when he arrived. I even think Nadal fighting spirit and personality has influenced the likes of Djoko and all
I love watching Rafa and really appreciate what he has brought to the game we love. Truly one of the greats and if he wins more GS than Roger some will call him the greatest ever. I don't care who is the greatest, I like all of them since I love tennis!
tennisblood same!!! I love all the three top players!! All so different but awesome and great!!
Isn't it funny how all these top level stars ALL did interviews with trans sport.... like they knew.
That foot-tennisball over the net is amazing. Terrific....
Who's here after he just won his 15th French Open in 2023? (I'll wait...)
Look at him, on clay! The KING OF CLAY
To the guy who said below that Rafa will be found out as a doper, please do us all a favor and hold your breath until that happens.
@Sideways Rain source?
I swear, one day, this kid will reign.
If they only knew He would one day be the GOAT!!!
He now one is 19th grand slam
Yes, but it was really close. Nadal is getting slower.
Here after 19th grand slam title in US Open
Now 20...
21 grand slams later... GOAT
Here after he won 20 grand slams 🐐
now he has 1000 atp wins ... GOAT
Great to watch. Already so good at an early age and Carlos Moya was absolutely right about his predictions.
Came here just to say he got his 20th grand slam trophy
This kid has the potential to achieve a grand slam
19th in his pocket today ! His 4th US Open title
Here after his 21st grand slam :)
And in the next two years..2004-2006 from the first seven played matches against Federer he won 6.
Grand Slam number 22 . VAMOS
93-2 at Roland..just incredible..
113-110
Wow NADAL was going to be a legend in ether sport 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Wow very interesting documentary, specially knowing what he became afterwards.. .
He will win 25 grand slams
Nadal ganhando mundo !! Ganhou simmm parabéns
Such a pragmatic teen... and so grounded...!!! Rafa Nadal - Toni Nadal top case study on how to create a high class athlete by coaching/disciplining a son/nephew... it is almost impossible for a star father/mother to duplicate star quality in their offspring... they spoil them to the extent that they become wayward... but these two people have worked out a very different chemistry... amazing. And the header in 3:13 to 3:28... amazing ... how well he does that...
This kid looks like he can win a few grand slams
Great things start from humble beginnings.
This Nadal kid has a bright future. Mark my words!
The thing he said at the end “One day he will be completely unbeatable” truth. Period
ali haris he's not unbeatable lol
AJ Malfoy on clay😉😂
he's been beaten on clay before lol. of course it doesn't happen often but he's not unbeatable.
@@Adaobieistyping In his peak he has never been beaten on clay.
@@Adaobieistyping The closest one was djokovic in 2013.
Nadal family is so supportive to him.
JUST FINISHED WATCHING THREE OF NADAL'S YOUNGER MATCHES. I HAVE FOLLOWED HIS SUCCESS OVER THE YEARS, HE REALLY BROUGHT FIRE TO THE GAME HE MAKES WHOMEVER HE PLAYS WORK FOR A POINT AND IF THEY FALL SHORT, IT'S OVER FOR THEM!!! STAY HEALTHY.
GREAT JOB YOUNG MAN!!!
WOW a great video, thank you!
Bless him! Ya gotta love him. xoxoxo o Rafael
today 19 title grand slam after won US open 2019
Moya vs Nadal Madrid 2008 ... one of the best matches I 've ever seen.
THIS GUY REMAINS ONE OF THE BEST.
keep calm and vamos!
3:29 well beyond his years from the beginning
“It’s a tough job I’ve got ahead of me” - Rafa
“One day he could almost be unbeatable” - did anyone say 13 French Opens and 20 Grand Slams and counting?
21 grand slams now baby
22 now! ❤
Now he won 13 RG super 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I love the innocence of baby Rafa
Remember watching Rafa at the French Open in 03 and somehow I just sensed, the commentators sensed this lad is going to be special.
Maybe you mean Monte carlo 2003. He defeated Carlos Costa (current RG winner at that time).
His first French Open was 2005. One of the few players to win a slam on debut
Never played RG before 2005
I fell like a proud Mom 😭😂😂❤
Legend 🙌
Rafa plays thru pain... He reminds me of Goku from Dragon Ball. He keeps fighting and charging up doing kayo-kens and becoming a super saiyan... he never gives up until the umpire says so.
You need to watch less anime
Wow , 21 slams later.
and then afters 2 years this interview, nadal defeated federer in 2004
I loved Transworld Sport. Great quality stuff.
Humbledal since a young age
Wow.. this video is prophecy..our Rafa is now all time great with 20 slams.. n his 13 French open slams is greatest if not one of great in all sports let alone in tennis!! Undoubtedly it's one of epitome of human acchievements!!
How right they all where!
