- Let's visit some of the most beautiful BLUE LAGOONS and lakes in Peru and in the world! All reachable by day trips from HUARAZ, the gateway to Huascarán National Park in Cordillera Blanca mountain range of the Peruvian Andes!
The amazing day trips from Huaraz:
-Laguna Parón: located the farthest away from Huaraz (3-4 hours trip in the car one way), no hiking needed to the lakeside, but a short climb to the view point above
-Laguna 69: the lagoon that requires the hardest hike (~3 hours one way), located slightly closer to Huaraz (~2 hours trip)
-Pastoruri Glacier: only a short hike away from the parking lot, but is quite difficult due to the very high altitude (~5000 masl), located about 2 hours away from Huaraz
-Laguna Churup: the closest lagoon to Huaraz, best reached by taxi (have an agreement for the return pick-up as well), involves a moderately difficult hike
Important information:
If you don't have your own transport, your best bet to reach these places is by day trip excursion from Huaraz. Trying to go by public transport would possess a significant planning and logistical challenge, and it would not be cheaper than by joining an excursion.

Wow! Absolutely amazing. So excited to visit Peru next month. Can i ask something did you booked those trips on the day you arrived in Huaraz? How much it cost and how many days the trip? Thank you
Hey there.. yes, we just booked all the trips when we arrived in Huaraz. There are some travel agent offices near the main square of Huaraz offering various hiking trips in the area.. we hope you have a great time in Peru 😀😀
Hi beautiful video 🥰👍🏼 did you guys go with tour company?
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽
Thank you! 😀
With the exception of Laguna Churup (very close to Huaraz), we went to the lagoons with organized excursion.. you can find several tour organizers close to the main square of Huaraz (Plaza de Armas).. good luck! 😀😀
Awesome views. Which month did you go?
Around April 😀😀
@@Onebackpackeach great! Thanks so much
I just subscribed to your chanel
Thanks my friend! 😀😀
How many days do you reckon I have to stay in huaraz? Thanks 🙏🏽
Hey2.. if you want to hike to all the lagoons you already need like 4 days at least.. and then if you'd like to hike the Santa Cruz trek you'd need another 4 days.. 😅
if I remember correctly we stayed for more than a week in total, allowing a resting day after the Santa Cruz hike 😬
How did you get to the city of huaraz?
We went there by bus 😀
We arrived there from Trujillo, but there are many regular buses departing from Lima as well! 👍
