the gaming industry is a shit show. Many companies are going under (mostly the larger ones Ubi, Bethesda, Bungie) they always push a political agenda, on the games and off they spend millions on the games and expect people to enjoy it and when they don't like it and give actual feedback, the customers get called names insulted and labeled as racist, sexist homophobic, transphobic, and bigots.
Edit: Also if tencent buys ubisoft I definitely not buying any games from them. tencent likes to use crenel based anti-cheat in all their games if ubisoft falls into their hands they will most likely do the same with ubisoft games.
gimme a maid one
At this rate, I guess they're trying to devalue Ubi with DEI so China can buy it all
these guys are idiots. basic economic analogy:
if you sell chocolate ice cream to 97 out of 100 customers but those 3 complain that they would like vanilla better, you don't shift your selling tactic to selling only vanilla ice cream and when nobody buy the vanilla you start blaming the chocolate lovers? are you insane? you cater to 3% of your base customers and you are angry that the rest don't like it and will not buy the vanilla ice cream?
You know why they are "stretched thin" with 20k employees? Because they have tons of activists not doing any REAL work and just collecting wages for lazing around
Activist don't care about money not the genuine ones anyway
This is to much word
The problem is all the stores in town are now apparently financed by someone that thinks everyone should learn to appreciate vanilla and whoever loves chocolate is a horrible person.
So their plan is now to have every shop only offer vanilla ice cream, period, hoping that children eventually will grow up trained to like vanilla over chocolate by the next generation.
And they'll go as far as to replace every product that traditionally contain chocolate with vanilla, even if it says it's chocolate on the cover, and call you a flavourist if you complain.
very true even though vanilla >>>>> chocolate
It’s communists seizing the means of production. Once it all falls under, the company itself will be remade from the ground up. While DEI is meant to suffocate western companies, BRIDGE will be the foundation for restructuring companies entirely.
This really isn’t about successfully making products in the gaming industry at all, not when intentionally causing businesses to go under in order to buy off capital assets as a means to siphon off wealth from the voluntary sector of society is the entire goal and purpose.
Gamers were trying to stop Ubisoft from making terrible games, they didn't listen and now they face the consequences.
Exactly.
It will be a lesson for other companies.
Good job everyone from not buying woke games. RIP UBiSoft
They make game. We play it. Doesn’t mean they have the power to overpowered us
We tried and guess what it’s their fault and blame the gamers for trying to help them, it’s like UBIsoft is hanging on the cliff and we try to reach out for their hands and they slapped it oh well 🤷 enjoy the fall
Uplift each other? Your company literally excludes men from mentorship...
No big deal. You can just "identify" as a woman, and since they're woke, they won't question it at all.
What he meant by that: "please give us money, stupid straight men, so we can continue to clown on you with our satanic agenda"
Well in the beginning they wanted men to Mentor the women, but the reason why they wanted them in to Mentor the women into the gaming space was because these companies were planning on getting rid of the men and replaced them with women, and bowing down to the woke cult nonsense, and it did work for a little while, but now they're running into a situation where quite literally it's being called out for being racist and sexist, and it's absolutely warranted.
They uplift each other, so long as you have the correct gender and/or skin color.
Remember the France Olympic Opening? They swapgendering Jesus with lgbt at The Last Supper scene.
Ubisoft France isnt better, mocking at gamers.
What are those people thinking? DEI destroys everything!

That is a literal scammer being paid to scam people!
Disagree. Monetization can be done well. Hoyoverse games are good. Warframe is good. This is the job of those people.
@@rickybobby5153 dude hoyoverse is not good monetization, it's predatory.
@@rickybobby5153just because hoyo is the _least_ bad, it doesn't means it's good, their system is also predatory chap
@@rickybobby5153 Disagree. The games are good not because of the monetization but despite the monetization. Also, Genshin Impact had horrible monetization and only got tweaked later on to be a little better when players left. Attacking your customers is the last thing you wanna do as a business
@@BlueLoveYT so let them out of business
@@crosszealkruezfahrerwolfra8787 *go out of
It might well just be the last thing they do haha
basically it is the last thing they will generally do
Exactly the more you keep attacking your customers the more likely you’re gonna go out of business because you don’t have any money anymore and any company that does that I know I’m gonna sound harsh and little bit out of line, but you deserve to go out of business if you do something like that
"the vocal minority" he says as an entire company is crumbling down and losing like $20 of their stock worth... all because of a "minority" 💀
What these companies have failed to grasp is the vocal minority that is destroying them isn't their customer base, it is the DEI activist hires within the company.
Cannot expect these agenda-pigs to think or apply logic!
The "minority" he mentioned even those who are still playing r6s and For Honor 😂
Homeboy has no issue with the "vocal minority" when they're hyping the game, getting friends to play, and churning out fan content.
The contempt for Ubisoft is part of a much deeper cultural shift im seeing: people are not giving the business world the benefit of the doubt anymore. There really is a sense that, people are sick of how these companies price gouge customers, preach and condescend, etc. they're so absurdly anti consumer, it finally caught up with them. Being anti consumer made them a lot of money each quarter... until, finally, it didn't. Like Boeing, it all fell down, and executive management is left holding the hot potatoe.
It's gaslighting, and it's not working, they know it's the majority, but they're trying to make people believe that it's a minority so that people who are hesitant on this might still purchase the game, it's a tactic that they use to get people to purchase the game even when they are very weak.
It's basically the art of war, pretend you are strong when you are weak and when you are strong you pretend you're weak, right now they are pretending they are strong when they are weak.
But when this game doesn't sell very well, along with a lot of their other games, they will come to the understanding that said they are weak and then nobody wants to support their products anymore.

>"simply because they do not cater to you"
Because you're SUPPOSED to. That's literally your only job: to make games that the audience wants to play. If you're not doing that, you DESERVE to go out of business. A clothing store that stops selling clothes to push intentionally ugly sweaters will go out of business.
well there is room in the market for an ugly sweater store to cater for ugly sweater enthusiasts - but there wouldn't be one in every mall
@@tbone2646 No one said ugly sweaters didn't have a market, but if you market yourself as a trendy fashion clothing store, but fill your shelves full of nothing but ugly sweaters, then you deserve to go out of business.
It's not even that simple. It's more layers than just that. It's more like they advertise as a trendy clothing store but only stock ugly sweaters, _and_ all of the sweaters are pride flag designs so that they get to call you every -ist and -phobe if you don't buy one of each when you walk in, *and* they throw rocks at any white person who walks in who doesn't have bright pastel color dyed hair, *AND* they'll spit on you if you're a confident man.
@@tbone2646 Yep. And Ubisoft is the ugly sweater shop pretending to be a supermall all by themselves...
@jkh378 Exactly, Aeropostale will go out of business if they start to cater to solely to customers who shop at Hot Topic and vice versa. If I wanted a game that focused on MTX and woke slop then I would have just gone to a casino for the first desire and go to a Pride parade for the latter.
"Monetization Director at Ubisoft". I bet he wasn't ashamed when he pushed loot boxes and micro transactions in games though and caused gambling addictions for people.
Imagine that somebody who is responsible for the atrocious micro transactions is telling you who is a decent human being and who isn't. Sheer f*cking hubris 😳
I'm no fan of Ubisoft, but the decision to pay for microtransactions and loot boxes is entirely your own. Why should companies stop these practices when they're a license to print money? It is 100% the consumer's fault that microtransactions have become so widespread.
Ubisoft better get used to not owning anything.

>"How can you wish a company to fail simply because they do not cater to you or that the product does not please you, is beyond me."
That is some of the most tone deaf, "participation award generation", whinge I've heard in a while.
Selling a product that consumers want shouldn't be this hard.
Imagine if Lamborghini started making espresso machines instead of cars. But the kicker is that the espresso machines were Kmart quality tier.
it wouldn't be a problem if the cars are still being produced, the problem is that Ubisoft stopped making the "cars" in favor of their new slop products.
Most car manufactures actually do sell ridiculously overpriced branded non car related products. Not sure if any of them sell espresso machines, but I wouldn't be surprised. They do still sell cars, obviously.
@@HeseliqMikav I think a more fitting analogy would be, trying to sell crappy cars for the same price as former lamborghinis.

“How can you wish a company to fail because they do not cater to you or that product does not please you is beyond me”
Are you kidding me right now? This guy seems so out of touch with reality. When you cater to an audience that doesn’t exist and alienate your established fan base you are going to receive hate, loss of sales, and even company shutdowns because people aren’t going to buy something that doesn’t appeal to them. It’s common sense, yet these developers seem to have a hard time understanding that fact.
They're too used to people buying whatever shit they put out over the years, and when people finally have had enough of their crap they went pikachu face.
It's subterfuge. Read activists' writings in the 2010's, or listen to/watch their speeches; they did not like that games were a bastion for the old culture of the West, and so they sought to undermine them.
That statement alone makes you realize how they can't even remotely understand what having to deal with real customers does mean. I'm baffled.
@@branvalis254i foresee a LONG deserved unemployment for this guy

People who think a game about killing islamists during the Crusades is "Islamophobia".
While the woke rose to prominence in 2016, they've been around since the 70s and from Sept 2001 to the OWS protests in 2011, arabs were their favorites much like blacks became since.

Guide to ruining a business by Ubisoft:
1: Punish players for using your platform over the high sea's
2:Further punish your user base making single player games need online access. And adding to DRM bloat so it takes up 2/3rds of an average users CPU
3:Remove any good narritive from your games so they are more bland then reading a mathematics textbook
4:Market controversy so people cancel your buisness
5:Act shocked that your company is unprofitable and nobody wants to deal with you
6:Whine on social media.

What is surprising out of all that isn't the rest of his gaslighting it's the "how can you wish a company to fail because they do not cater to you or that the product doesn't please you". They've ignored gamers at every turn. They put off Division 3 for Avatar and Star Wars. Then the partially open world Star wars game with no co-op, multi-player and battle passes and a mission locked behind a greedy pay wall. Oh and the Skull a bones failure. 4:00 *"How dare you wish a greedy company to fail when it puts out absolutely suck-ass products!? Shame on you and please please please give us your money"*
Honestly its wild to me how woke minds work. They will put you down and tell you, "you are the phobic problem", but then beg for support from those same people.
You only get one, 1. push your politics in games towards a group of people who largely disagree with your politics or 2. create successful games that people will love for years to come thus making you successful.
In fact, I don't think Tencent will buyourt Ubisoft, they are too bloated now,no one wants to takes such a mess, unless Tencent's CEO can do what musk did with Twitter
Monetization director... games were good before this proffesion existed i wonder how does he benefit in making a game...
