Awesome video Qazi! Well produced/thought out. It's crazy to think how much your average viewer probably doesn't even think about color when watching a movie/series, but how much of a significant difference it can make. Great stuff as always!
This is a really good style of learning Qazi! We're not just seeing the same clip transform over 3 different styles, but also delving into the color psychology of super successful high budget looks all at the same time. Should be a long series, it's superb! Thanks again brother, as always
To add a point on Denis’ look recreation, There’s usually a warm, yellow tint growing towards the highlight areas, as one can clearly notice the cyan-ish sky in well balanced (color temperature wise) exterior shots, and clipped white LEDs appearing yellow. That’s the look which his often collaborator, Roger Deakins, prefers.
Wow, I have been following you since the early days, but this format of you just free-flowing, talking your thoughts out loud is just brilliant! Thanks for the great content and keep crushing it as I know you are! 🔥
Qazi, man, I found your channel just by "accident", and sincerely I must say that since I saw the first video I subscribed at the moment. Now I'm viewing, analyzing and trying to understand everything your do and why in every video. You have discovered to me a new world in the color grading so I may say that now I'm a very big fan of your works, keep teaching as you do, keep engaging, keep creating! 😃👍
Awesome video Qazi. I can tell that you put a ton of thought, time, and effort into this, it really shows! Thank you for empowering aspiring colorists/filmmakers!
Yet another awesome video, Qazi. Glad you took the extra time to knock it out of the park. Looking forward to an Umbrella Academy look analysis / recreation at some point in the future... 😉
Absolutely loved this video. Just pulls back the mystique of so many things and replaces them with a new mystique of how it can be so easy if you understand how it all works.
Thank you so much. Been meaning to update my gfx package but never got around to it. The overhaul was intense. Took a while to dial it I'm but I'm super stoked to how it turned out. Still going to update the intro and show music. Little by little. 😀
Love this one Qazi! Great style and full of knowledge and inspiration. Thank you. Have you ever thought about analyzing the look of any narrative video games? There is a lot of crossover with filmaking. Game artists have always taken inspiration from movies, but now it is going both ways and many film directors are taking inspiration from games. e.g. Sam Mendes and 1917. As a Lead Lighting Artist in games I would be really interested to to see your analysis. Cheers!
I really love your work and do want to learn from you. But the only problem is.. it is hard to learn from your videos, because when you do minor adjustment you do it with your manual machine and i do not see mouse cursor movement, so it is hard to see how much of adjustment are you doing... Just because we use mouse so it is very hard to see what pannel are you in making adjustment... As i see no movement of mouse so i really do not understand how did happen. As i think most of us use mouse not the pannel for color grading. So please if it is possible try to do it with your mouse... I think a lot of people might have same issue. Because i really want see you content. But is hard to see what adjustment are you doing as a lot of time i have watch tutorial on phone...
although your grading tutorials are awesome,i think you should grade more consumable cameras like sony , canon etc. personally i would love to see you grade various sony picture profiles like s-log 2 and cine 4 etc. your average viewer probably doesnt have access to a red or arri camera. thanks
Did you explain your 1st-Node/Last-Node setup in any of your videos in detail? So CST in 1st-Node and then copy that to the last Node. What is the color science behind these two node-setups?
Hi everyone, can somebody tell how are these color palettes made? Is there a Resolve instrument for that? (I mean the color bar in the bottom of the frame)

It's the reflection off my screen.
Can you examine the color grading for the movie Black Panther? I'm not a colorist, but I enjoy your instruction and content. Thanks
Please do an Interview with Stefan Sonnenfeld.
You're a color wizard.
