Hopefully not indicative of how many folk injure themselves up there...I jest. Great video, missed a few of those lines last time I was up there, now roll on parts 2 and 3 on the top side 👍
@@matt.l-s Sorry chap, 2 and 3 are actually already done but as those trails aren’t official I’ve been keeping them lower profile. I’ll embed links in part one. ua-cam.com/video/aWV3wGf-06A/v-deo.html
Funny you posted this at exactly the same time I was there for my first trip in about 10 years! What a difference! Had a reet day and can’t wait to go back
@@GuyKesTV yeah some of it. Some of it was over my pay grade at the moment and I was on my own, so didn’t go too crazy, but what I did was awesome. I did do a trail not listed by mistake and even that was sick
Singletraction run monthly dig days (in normal times). Anyone who enjoys the trails should consider helping out. It's hard work but a good fun day and it's very rewarding riding the bits you've helped build. The trail crew are going to have their work cut out for them to fix up the red after the hammering it's taken as Guy mentions!
im looking at buying the druid or maybe a megatower, is there much difference besides travel? people say the druid feels like an enduro bike, isit worth a buy? any info would help thanks! also how tall and what size did you try?
at the very that of the video during the intro theres a green van and 2 men talking thats my dad and uncle i am next to them while the video was filmed .
@@SpinnerMctinner haha, Parts 2 and 3 are already done but I've kept them off the main page so as not to upset Forestry. There's a link to 2 off the end of this video though and then a link to 3 off that one. If you're coming up again though let me know and if I'm around I'll give you a guided tour as that'll be a lot easier!
Staiburn is on my doorstep I still dont understand why people like it. Its super short, no flow, rocky beyond fun. Bottom section top speeds of 5mph ridden twice never again.
Yep, I get that. It’s something different though and from my POV it’s brilliant for testing bikes. Have you ridden the new stuff topside of the road? Some nice little loam descents but again super short. Those are covered in parts 2 and 3. Also there are potentially some very big changes coming soon which I imagine you’d be a fan of.
@@GuyKesTV I hated the Red Decent when I first started riding, tbh the words I used were this is stupid what a waste of time, roll on a few years with more experience I grew to love that decent because it taught me to think quicker, learn better technique on berms and most of all ride lighter, the flow is there you just have to find it. Also great to ride when raining, qute grippy.
Love the use of what3words!
Cheers Ed, I was thinking of trying to use a scrolling map but it would have been too small to be any use.

Yep Singletraction do great work and it’s always a good vibe too so get yourself to a dig day to make the Stainburn trails even better.
Dropping the mrs off at the caravan at Boroughbridge tomorrow and going to try stainburn it does look awesome 🤩
That looks brutal, serious skills on show
Great vid, the roller at 8.41 doesn't look steep on camera but when you roll up to it it's quite a drop
Thankyou.
No worries Allen. There’s a guide to the off piste stuff linked off the end then another guide to the more XC stuff out the back linked from that 👍🏻
Wheres parts 2 and 3? thanks love the content!
They’re linked at the end of part 1 and then 2 as they cover the ‘unofficial’ trails so I can’t post them as public content 👍🏻

Have you ever tried a rohlof or pinion gears?
Why were you towing round an old shopping trolley with a squeaky wheel?
Haha, that’s a spacer on the DT wheel doing hamster impressions
So the roadies can hear him coming!
What bike you riding there Kes?
Forbidden Druid
@@GuyKesTV yours?
