Press and hold the - negative button for 3 seconds to cycle through all the sounds it has in it. there is many engine sounds and there is one perfect for that truck. just press and hold the negative button for 3 seconds to change to the next sound until you find the one you like.

Having watched your video I won't bother with the sound kit.......it's headed for the trash heap as I type. I haven't tackled anything like this in a long, long time.......I'll try not to screw it up........wish me luck......I always have a terrible time losing screws!!!! I'm going try something I did on a RTR truck years back involving using aquarium air stone tubing I split down the middle to hide some of that wiring. I use black air stone tubing that looks great on the truck. Your videos are so helpful and inspirational......thanks again!!!!

Hi! I have the Heng Long 8x8 Hemett like yours. It has the factory installed lights & sound system. When I go forward the reverse alarm goes off & when I go backward the alarm doesn’t go off. Could it be something wired wrong from the factory or a radio adjustment. Thank you for your reply!

Nice update on the truck. The lights don't look to bad, the top becon light would look better flashing. Have you tryed adding a trailer? I am thinking of getting this model but not sure how a tamiya trailer would look and fit.
Do you think there is enough room to put the Beier SFR1 underneath the speaker? Where you put the sound and light module? With some modification for the wires and the USB cable?
yes. he showed it worked in the video . but he didn't like that particular sound. he obviously didN't know that they come with other sounds models and absolutely did Not know how to change them. there is like 18 wheel big rig. race car. heavy equipment and so one.

I just added the sound and light equipment on mine last night. Looks like everything works ok. I'm glad I came here because I forgot about the button to change the light sequence for the strobes. I have a 10 channel RC/reciever to use for this, I'd like to have the lights on a channel so I can turn them on and off. I also bought some extra off road light for it too. But the way this is set up I don't know how I'll be able to put those on there own channel. Plus just how to hook up the basic functions for turning, forward and reverse. Anybody have an idea?
Hi, I recently purchased the 1/12 HG 802 HEMTT and started to install the light kit and speaker. Well several things went wrong. 1. either the lights stay on or blinks constantly, 2. for some reason my transmitter is not working now with the truck, the transmitter lights are flashing red and green. I need help cause I'm starting to get really frustrated. I watched several of your videos and I must say they are really good. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Joe
Sounds like the radio need to be re-bound to the receiver. Take a look at a few you tube videos on radio binding. Also make sure the transmitter has good batteries. The lights have several modes changed by the push button switch inside the cab.
after seeing your video I took the P802 from GeekBuying paying € 490.00 and then I bought on ebay the kit lights and sounds and I still have to mount them: go ahead you, so I will try not to make mistakes😁
I bought them both p801/p802 thanks too you lol..When ordering the p802 they showed in stock but day or so later no updates.. THey then said out of stock.. No biggy I'll wait already paid for it and the p801 should be here real soon 8-)
andicog , they are a bit 'long with the time of departure of the package since you paid (absolutely Paypal !!!). If after 7 days the package has not left, do as I do: a phone call to Paypal, and in 12 days total the Truck has arrived perfect.😉👍

I installed a 1/10 SCX10 tow hook/chain and I snapped the head off one of the hook bracket bolts..........dang!!!!!! It's gonna stay that way for now because I can't just stop everything when I screw up, otherwise, I'll never finish what I need to get done!!!!! So, forward I march right into a desert sand paint job for the fifth wheel dolly!!!! The light install will come later.......much later!!!!!

I highly suspect that HG packaged a police car light set as the HEMTT set. The cab brow lights should be amber and the dome light, which the truck doesn't actually have normally, should be on a switch. You would be better off kitbashing a Tamiya MFC into it.
I'm not sure what you do with a model like this, as a static display with all details painted and trimmed, I get it, but driving it? a crawler can present skills challenge and outdoor exercise, but after you run this around the driveway once, then what?

There are other videos with this same sound module that sound much better (ua-cam.com/video/x0gA-x7pM7U/v-deo.html) or (ua-cam.com/video/GAETu8ALF_o/v-deo.html) I think you may have received a dud, I would contact the company to get a replacement or a re-flash of the software for the unit.
As mentioned by others this sound system includes several engine types and you can switch between them by pressing a button: Bob, you should give this system another chance and show us how to select a different mode, please! Besides, why don't you have it with the same color of the body? The green one can fit inside the green truck and on this tractor you should have the sand colored one... As always I truly enjoy seeing you operate on a new project and I also like your models' choices! Cheers

I don't think so the fit is very tight in there.

Actually one of these days will get a proper Beier sound and light system, new 18 channel radio, new paint and the crane.

I am with you on the sound, horrible, you either maybe got a wrong module or they really, really screwed up on this one.
You would think for the price of this thing the sound would be something close to a diesel engine . Maybe there is something wrong with the box!

I was a truck driver iij n the military an 88M and I was in a PLS unit and that truck is not a HEMTT that is a PLS
