We also bring you the latest updates from across the park including more Scarefest news, additions to Nemesis Reborn and much more. Even a 10pm closing time now going forward is hardly going to give much dark nights till later in the year. I think you are right...that they should have extended those 3 nights till 10pm and more nights now I mean now !! Till 10pm. Then back to selective till July and back to 6 to 8pm closing time in the summer.

Galactica is actually looking great inside - it has a new dispatch sequence flashing blue and white as the train leaves, looks really cool!

Me and a group of mates got there as soon as the park opened yesterday, ended up riding Rita 10 minutes early. It was a great day to go!

I hope they continue to roll out what they've done with Forbidden Valley and Gloomy Wood. All the lighting, roaming actors and small things like the sound effects just bring the areas to life. It feels like you're in a different theme park around there. I'm hoping the Nemesis waterfalls come back and they do some theatircal tricks to make it look red.

Literally every ride I queued for broke down. The Smiler was particularly bad. Stuck in the queue line for almost 2hr30. Galactica went down twice whilst we were in the queue. Joined Wicker Man, it went down. Half an hour into Spinball, it went down. Fantastic night ride on Nemesis though despite it also breaking down haha
Yeah it was a bit of a disappointing day operations wise!
We experienced the same when we went a couple of weeks ago. 3 rides in 6 hours in the end. Rita broke down whilst we were in the queue, as did Nemesis Reborn and Smiler. Wicker didn't open until later, the rapids and thirteen not at all. Really poor showing from the park to have so many issues and it sounds like it wasn't an isolated incident.

So glad Rita is back on both trains!! When I went on the 23rd, I waited nearly an hour first thing. Was there at about 9:40 and it had already started running on its one train.
Me and my mate went last Tuesday, 26th March and had a cracking day. Queues were not too bad at all. Surprised to see Nemesis only had 20 min queue at max. We managed get on all the thrill rides, even Smiler and Nemesis twice. We were buzzing. Keep up the great content.

We are missing a trick in the UK by not opening our Theme and Amusement Parks at night. Id much rather see 12pm to 10pm opening times than 10 to 6

Great to see all the lighting at night you got some really good shots, i especially liked the shots of the gardens and the Alton ruins. It would be great to see some more of the gardens with all the spring flowers out, perhaps you could do another garden tour its a while since you did one.

I think I have to agree. Nemesis is just about better than Icon and has taken the number 1 spot in the uk. The intensity is great and the inversions are brilliant

Really enjoy the video, thanks Shaun and Charlotte, But thought nemesis looked too red everywhere with the lighting, maybe they could try some different colours around the ride to break it up abit. They did add some blue/purple @45:45 around the loop which added a nice effect.....
Rode back row 3 times on nemesis on Good Friday, and what a good friday it was! Defo the fastest its ever been running the helic in particular is incredible. Always been my number 1 in UK love you Nemmy
Went on Saturday few weeks back and absolutely everything except the kiddy rides were 100+ minutes. Got 4 rides in 5 hours. By the time we got home spam messages from the app saying we got a free return ticket 😂

We have been in Parc Astérix today and have enjoyed incredibly short queue times! Many rides were walk on. Our first trip here, can’t wait until tomorrow for day 2. Happy Easter!
I totally related to the emotional aspect of walking up to nemmy for the first time since the retrack I got really teary and enjoyed riding it again, I heard the rattle but it was so nice to be back riding it again

Was expecting Alton towers to be busy as it was Easter Saturday but was surprised that the queues weren’t longer for nemesis . Managed a couple of re-rides including a back row at night . Have to agree it was running so fast , it was incredible . The whip and intensity through the turns and inversions was amazing . As for our favourite roller coaster in the uk icon is up there with nemesis . Think nemesis is top for intensity but icon for smoothness
Never had the chance to ride the original Nemmy, but rode Reborn for the first ever time last week and I instantly loved it!

I was there yesterday too and it was a amazing day we waited for the smiler to open even tho it had a delayed open and it was a walk on so amazing start to the day and we got our night nemisis run it was amazing... Also Alton team was amazing since our fast passes for nemisis was for when the ride was down and they let us ride Wicker man for one last ride in the dark.. great day glad you two had a good day too

It's my 40th birthday! 31.3 and I spent it with my family and friends at Marton Mere for 5 days and had an 11 hour day at my favourite park with plenty of rides... Pleasure beach xxx
Nice to speak to you both briefly , near the runaway train [ which as you said in the vlog ,did not have a wait time ] Good to see the rest of the park in the dark , I chose to stay with Nemisis had a great front row ride in the semi dark , and a night ride afterwards . The theming at night is great especialy by the crashed helicopter .

Gutted we didn't see you yesterday, but as half the population seemed to be there no wonder! We struggled yesterday as a family of 4. It started with the amound of rides that where down, had to evac the Curse twice and galactica. The queue times seemed to differ from the App too as Wickerman was a 50min wait when we arrived in the queue but it took us 1hr 45mins? I cant blame anyone though as i had chosen to go on a bank holiday weekend. Keep on riding 😊
I got one last year, I potted in into a bigger pot. It’s been outside all winter with just a slight frost burn on some leaves. It produced 2 new leaves since august last year
Brilliant to see the park busy and also the rapids back open (great that Henry Hound's Photo Platform is still there after the waterfalls). Also love the nod on the helicopter to Thunder Valley on the tail & SW3 nod on the bus. Following on from all the Easter Eggs in the Curse, it seems that Towers are acknowledging their past something years ago that wasn't always the case.
There was a great atmosphere yesterday!

Best time to go to Alton Towers is a week day in the light rain.
I went on a Monday during school hours once and I didn't have to queue AT ALL. Got off a ride and straight onto it again. Went on smiler 5 times in a row!
Weekdays outside of the holidays are the best time!

It must have been 12 or 13 years since I last went to Alton Towers. There was no Smiler and Wicker Man then, Galactica was called Air and Ripsaw was there. I need to go again
Another great video thankyou so much im still hoping to go here before i pass away with the fact i have terminal cancer and alton towers was my first major theme park i just want to close the chapter where it started and be happy that 30 years since my first ride and visit i get to do it again 🎉

We went on the 23rd and it was very busy! We had silver fast tracks and still didn’t get on The Smiler because it was so busy and rides kept going down. Nemesis however was amazing. They had a QR code to scan in the queue line when 4 people queue jumped and pushed through. People reported it and security came and got them out of the queue at the merge point; it worked so well! 🙌
Rita was on 1 train and advertised it. 13 was only on 1 train but it didn’t say. We waited an hour in fast track, main queue line was 3 hours even though it was advertised at 80 mins!
I think the park should be open until 10pm in the Summer.
I cant express how much I want them to bring back that 80s style look on the monorail. Have the trains be different colours instead of just blue. They used to look so awesome! :(
We walkes done that path at the side of the towers and down to the back of the towers and saw the theming sets and props for Alton Ville mine tours which was great to see!

Great informative vlog again both, the Nemesis clothing looks good on you two. The waterfall does look nice, hope to see the Towers open again at some point in the near future. My son was there too from the afternoon. He managed to get rides on 13, Wicker Man, TCaAm, Sub Terra and a night time ride on Nemesis - which was the main reason for his visit. The Park is looking great and will continue to improve with Bianca in charge, she's doing a fab job 👍

Went last Saturday and sunday it was so good ita been freshened up. Nemesis was amazing didnt break down when all the other rides were shut she carried all the park on her back. The theming has taken a 6/10 coaster (by modern standards...) to a 10/10. Its just so cool.

On the 27th of march I went on oblivion. Started raining while we were in the queue and when we were in the station all we could hear was the rain falling down on the roof. We got on the ride and on tow the lift. A hailstone landed on my arm before the drop it was POURING down with hail. All I can say is oblivion in the rain is not fun. When I got to the photo area everyone was laughing at us because we were SOAKED! It hurt too on the over bank turn and sitting on the brake run for two minutes with hail smashing into your face really hurt.

I finally managed to get to Alton Towers and got front row on nemisis for a night ride, that was flying around, my second uk favourite after Smiler and have a new top wodden coaster being Wickerman

Hi Shawn and Charlotte happy Easter to you both. Great vlog and great advise on where to start in the park . Love that tunnel by the towers. Been visting Alton towers since 88 and never knew that tunnel exists but it was all about the rides when i was younger 😊. Blimey that pizza and pasta has gone up a lot. Loved that place as well . Packed lunch from now on.

The queue for guest services was almost as big as the queue for the rides 😂 If it was a standalone visit I probably would but I usually wouldnt go near the place on a bank holiday werkend, we have annual passes and this was a last minute decision as we had to exchange some merch we'd bought the week previous. Looking forward to going back next week after the schools have reopened.

I think luck wasn't on our side yesterday, we queued 90 minutes for Rita, got to the front, and it broke down. Queued 40 minutes for Wickerman (with a fast track!) and it broke down. Bought a fast track for Smiler, turned up at our allocated time, and it was closed. Got in the queue for Nemesis after dark, and it broke down. I think Easter being so early and the park only being open a couple of weeks, there were clearly still some teething problems to work through, but our timing aas terrible. But we still had a great day and got to have a photo taken with yourselves too, so silver linings.

Perhaps you should have gone to guest services and sought compensation. Next time maybe. Went Volcano Bay a month after it first opened in 2017. It had lots of teething problems so we came out after 3 hours and went to moan at Guest Services....they gave us $25 voucher.....not bad considering we had a 14 days multi pass etc and could return in any of those days. Thus, sometimes it pays to let your legitimate greiveniances out.

Best themed coaster in the uk now by a country mile. However we did a dark ride on front row Saturday night and I felt it was running way too fast,the rattle on the front row and how rough it felt over the zero G compared to the day ride was literally like night and day, really spoilt the experience!!
We are heading up to Staffordshire to see family for Easter +mine and my sister's birthdays. We are going to Alton Towers on the 3rd for my birthday and we are also going to the rollercoaster restaurant for the first time.

For the first time i went on nemesis was on the 30th of March this year so even though uts nemesis reborn it was amazing

I went to the USA in the summer, and the main thing I loved about it compared to our parks was 8 am-8 pm operating times. Idk why Merlin doesn't just incorporate it over here; it would mean more staff, but it's not like they wouldn't earn way more money. It's probably never getting done but I'd love it to

USA has always given better value for money to the USA people in many ways. And now especially in comparison to UK people with the UK economy poor and the pound doing poorly vs the Dollar. I bet they don't build one bedroom houses in USA !!! LOL. Many people around the world refer to western civilisation people including USA as fat people !!! Not meaning nec'ly large in personal size but also in what they have materialistic wise.

We were there yesterday, my son would have loved to have met you both he’s a huge fan. We had a great day despite the queues and ride closures. Rita down at least 4 times. Smiler late opening. Queue times for all rides were very underestimated. 2hrs for smiler not 80min 😳 No evacuation for Nemesis there was a loud rattle from the trains against the track before it went down 👀

The Curse at the Alton Manor is absolutely amazing and it was formerly a shooting Dark ride called Duel until 2022 and it was a lot better than that Godawful Dark ride at Cadbury World called Cadbury Chocolate Quest
