    Right now, I've watched your video two times.
    There are too many rules. If I can't remember all of them I always make some mistakes. But if I use the
    expressions by heart (insert what sounds better to me) I always get the right answer.
    The best approach to make no mistakes is to hear a lot of English so that you get a feeling of what is right
    or wrong.

    • @AngloLinkEnglish
      @AngloLinkEnglish  5 років тому

      Hello Ralf,
      I believe that a combination of the two approached (some study & a lot of exposure) is the best strategy as it covers both styles of learning.

    Maybe this is the wrong video to ask, but I can not find the answer to this question no matter where I look. It deals with adverbs.. Which is correct below?
    He brought up his sword - or - he brought his sword up.
    Take out the dog - or - take the dog out.
    I've seen/heard it used for both..

    • @AngloLinkEnglish
      @AngloLinkEnglish  4 роки тому

      Both versions are correct because these are 'separable' phrasal verbs.

      Hello Sebastian,
      Many thanks for your continued support.
      Yes, I've heard of this film, and seen a short clip of it. However, as I don't often go to the cinema, I'm not likely to watch the whole film.

    Please Someone could help me, there is one part that she tell us we must not change special words like lovely to adverb.
    But in the exercises, She uses lile adverb "lovingly", l think it's a contradiction

    • @AngloLinkEnglish
      @AngloLinkEnglish  3 роки тому +1

      lovely = nice, beautiful. It is an adjective that doesn't have an adverb form.
      loving' = kind, caring. It is a different adjective and has an adverb form: lovingly.

      They are adverbs with different meanings from 'hard', 'short', and 'late'. Please refer back to the section of this lesson where I explain this in detail.
