    Cool vid. I had the original back in the 80's. I watch this and feel like my credit card might get a work out soon.

    I have collected lots of these Tamiya models still in shrink wrap unassembled like HOT SHOT, SUPER HOT SHOT, THE FROG, FIGHTINGT BUGGY AND so on.

    Just picked one up today coming tomorrow. Looking forward to it, but I think my esc is going to be a tight fit if at all.

    The Super (Hot) Shot is an awesome buggy and was the one I wanted as a kid (I had a Boomerang instead, still a great buggy mind), but now I’m older I finally own one! I also had a problem with those screws, I found the solution was to pre tap the holes out with a m3 tap. I also upgraded all the bolts with hex drive Allen bolts. I also upgraded the front uprights to aluminum ones after a minor crash left the standard plastic ones bent.

    Thinking of buying this quite pricey though, how long to build? Love the gold wheels is this or the hotshot 2 a better buy

    Great looking car. At first glance with that suspension setup it looks a bit like a bigwig.

    Those front screws are a real pain and seem way too long imo, I have rounded of many! I use the next Two screws back for the front and fit much better. I have left the other Two holes empty that I took them from as it's only a shelf Queen for now but am going to run them. i have now the Grasshopper/SuperHotshot/Boomerang/Winger shell/Bigwig/Hotshot/Avante/Nova fox to be built. Need to start running these lol

      Hi,
      I think it looks better, but the performance is very similar tbh 👊🏻

      The mono shock design of Hotshot is not that effective to absorb the shocking, nonetheless it is cool

    Was as I remember when they come out the price for me was scary. One thing of late that has got me worries with Tamiya motors is the Technigold motors, there is a MFA motor that's identical for less money. I have also seen people selling motor labels so how many fakes out there.

    • @robertturnip7850
      @robertturnip7850 5 років тому

      I am not sure what MFA motor you are speaking of, but you should only buy a Technigold motor if you need to replicate the original looks of the car. Otherwise, there are lots of options for cheaper which will give you just the same, or better performance.

    how is it 23 x 1? the 23 is the winds around the rotors.... you can't have 1 rotor! very unbalanced 23x2 or 23 x 3 yes.....

    • @UncleBobsRC
      @UncleBobsRC 3 роки тому

      The wire is wrapped 23 times around each of the 3 segments 1 time, hence 23x1
