Today I found a Swiss Army knife! It is the second one that I have unearthed since starting this hobby 5 years ago.
Love these kind of hunts, this is what metal detecting is all about. We hunt and hunt in search for the treasure knowing trash is 65%+ of our finds lol
Just used the Mine Lab 440 on 5/28/23 for the first time. Found targets and found them that my friends Garrett did not even get a tone on. That could be just his settings but the Mine Lab did great. We where detecting in a dry wash here in Arizona and he even said he was disappointed ( we bought them at the same time ). It was a very small 1/16 diameter steel shot at about 7 inches in loose soil. So, very happy with the Mine Lab 440. I was wearing the head set that the detector came with and he was not, so up for grabs, right?
I have the XP set up myself for awhile. I’ve watched a few of your videos with the minelab xterra pro due to recent purchase. I want to give you a heads up. I think your mi pointer is on low sensitivity setting. I love mine on high or max off my xp unit you can get into a menu. Or do turn on menu options. It kills me to see you loose targets so easily. I can find stuff 3-6” depending on factors. But most cases always 3”+ You can see the difference off rip. If you watch one of my videos using same pinpointer. Hope this helps you bud. Keep it up, glad you’re doing coil reviews, & keeping it real.
I have been running the 6 in on my exterra absolutely love it so precise. I also own a 700 and I have run the 11 in coil on it really settles the vdi down.
The X-terra Pro comes without headphones. The Detector would be well over $300 if it came with wireless headphones. It can use the wireless headphones that work with the Equinox, but they cost like $137 dollars alone. Ther are other optional headphones you can get. there are pictures on the Box.
@TreasureOutdoors Just got my Minelab X-Terra Pro yesterday and i did a text with some coins and my Gold Class Ring from when i graduated high school back in 1993 and my 925 Silver Ring so that i know what numbers to look for
Hi bud. Just to let you know DP is not for delta pitch. On page 29 of the manual it states Depth. Just in case you're confusing audiences. But still like your videos.
@@TreasureOutdoors yes, it was ringing up 60 something under the ground on the simplex, I thought I was digging out a penny, rings up 90 now tho, the beach was really chatter I had to drop my sensitivity right dow the sand was giving off 80s and 90s in between targets
@@quochuync yes em it did but otherwise it was a great detector. Could be just mine. If you don't submerge the control box you will never have a problem and yours might be fine.
@@quochuync do it...if it leaks they will repair or replace it. Very good service. Use it. Did you register it for warranty on their website ? Make sure you do that. 3 year warranty.
@@TreasureOutdoors Not the best way to find out you should have a Lanyard attached to your Pin Pointer. I purchase my Lanyards from Serious Detecting. They sell 2 different kinds. (The larger one with the Velcro on the one end is the best one) The smaller one with the plastic clip is garbage and will break on you. I attach a large brass fishing swivel between 2 split rings, one split ring on the pinpointer it self and the other split ring to the Lanyard. It works very well. It keeps you from having to be a contortionist to get your digger back into the Sheath.
@@lancepeterson5408 The Garrett Carrot is very good. I have 2 of them. I have a Nokta Pointer(not the one that takes a Loop) I have not used it yet. I have like 5 pin pointers. I learned years ago that having only one sucks when it breaks and the only way to get one is Mail order.
I like your video content but I cannot watch them because of your hand shovel location. It looks like,well, you know! Please move it to your side, at least for your videos! Otherwise I will have to pass on them.

Will the i.d. change any by swinging a bit faster or slower? Is there a swinging sweet spot or is it dependant upon the soil mineralization
I think it varies a bit depending on a lot of factors but it can hone in on the coins pretty good with a repeatable tone. 👍

@Carolina Relic Hunter It's the same that's compatible with 600,700,800 and 900. Xterra Pro can use all Equinox coils.

Thats a Ring, probably stainless steel unless it's light. Stainless Stell rings give off funny signals, not like Silver or Gold.
