I like your style Luftschlange, it really makes me feel as though I am there on the streets outside the station, and there on the platforms. The way you include some street scenes around the stations adds context to your videos.
I love your videos so much, and particularly these ones at London stations. They truly make me feel as if I'm there, and London is my favorite city in the world. Keep it up!
The East London Line still gets more overcrowded when it was extended from Highbury & Islington to West Croydon, Crystal Palace, Clapham Junction and New Cross. And could of extended to East Croydon.
If you come out the jubilee line lift at West Ham (on the jubilee platform level) then look back at the lift you will see the line diagram of West Ham westbound on the left. For absolutely no reason, they updated it so it says ‘East London’ instead of ‘Overground’ for Canada Water. They also did that inside a lift at Canada Water but i dont know which one.
Really amazing footage. Absolutely love your content, especially those filmed in London, as this is where I am from, and I am a huge tube fanatic, too. Great footage, really admire your work ;) Cheers, Matt
+Matthew B Thanks, Matthew that is nice to hear. I'm happy you enjoy the videos. I have plenty more unedited London footage and I'm travelling there quite frequently, so expect more to come. :-)
Worth noting that the all stations announcements are only where they share with NR TOC's which in this case NXG shares with Southern. If you go to ELL 'core' stations the announcements are usually "all stations to....."
Used to use this line when it was London Underground and ran between the old Shoreditch station and New Cross/New Cross Gate. At Shoreditch you could see where the tracks could continue into Liverpool Street. When they were replacing the lines for the Overground we were able to go on a public walk-through of the Brunel tunnel.
There ae trains with five cars, I imagine that there ae many passengers if it was considered compulsory to lenghten existing four crs trains, which were not "short" at all
You know I had some suggestions for trains 1. New line called SLL (Canada water, Southbound) 2: National Rail Stopping at Brockley 3: Trams extend to Crystal Palace and New Cross 4:LU Piccadilly terminates at Canada Water 5: LU Jubilee Loop to Stratford, Stanmore 6: LO extends from Clapham J to Brixton
(yes this is old) I wouldn't really consider Greater Anglia a metro service anymore, considering all of its metro services apart from the Liverpool St - Hertford East service is now a part of the Overground and Crossrail.

Yes ooo and thank the one that you have been working
Overground is a mainline train by definition. It's purpose is different from the other trains.
The East London Line still gets more overcrowded when it was extended from Highbury & Islington to West Croydon, Crystal Palace, Clapham Junction and New Cross. And could of extended to East Croydon.
Could be me driving one of those trains. I'm a driver on the east London line :)

That's interesting once the departing train goes in the tunnel, an arriving train comes out
Very interesting

Great video. Could you film the London Overground services going out of Liverpool Street?

Wait, so is it filmed on January 26th (according to the description), or February 26th (in the video)?
Thanks for pointing this out. The video is correct, it was filmed in February. I corrected the description.

Are Greater Anglia, Southern, Southwest, London Overground, Thameslink all commuter trains?
Ali Hafeez Yes. As opposed to a metro.
They all provide a mix of metro, commuter short/long distance trains. Great anglia have speedier class 90 + DVT trains.
(yes this is old) I wouldn't really consider Greater Anglia a metro service anymore, considering all of its metro services apart from the Liverpool St - Hertford East service is now a part of the Overground and Crossrail.

7:45 - Where does the Route Indicator send trains to?
RedArrow73 either towards New Cross, Crystal Palace or West Croydon on the left, or towards Clapham Junction via Denmark Hill on the right.
Are these Overground trains on electric?
nope
TheAverageUA-camr They are. Electrical Third Rail.
Mysterium oh I didn't think about that because I realised that they didn't have overhead cables

Jamie Shorter someone trapped in the door?
Jamie Shorter only logical explanation is it’s the coach that the guard is in.
TransportFlick Yes it could be a guard, but have you thought it might just be an error or a system glitch?
Are these using fossil fuel or 3rd rail??
3rd rail. Some railways have catenary though.

Can anyone tell me if the Overground is like the Underground? Is it a metro?
melvinlow888 No, it is more similar to the German "S-Bahn" if you know that.
its a suburban one basically. Instead of going underground in central london, it goes to the villages and towns around outer london
The outer London Boroughs and the City of Watford. It is based on regular railways and a former underground line.
Kinda
The Overground is a few commuter rail lines serving the outskirts of London, that TfL took control of in the past 10 years
